Done a little bit on a friends rifle a few years ago. Courses are great if you are in the right location and have the money.
First up, the dremel is not what you are after. Start with palm engraving tools as most of the work is about ‘feel’ when making radius’s.

Brownells.co.uk have an ok selection of tools and spares.

Second, read. Then read some more. Then, keep reading.

Third, practice a bit before going for it!

Also, http://www.airgraver.com/ Want one so bad!

Some templates and tips here too http://www.lindsayengraving.com/Hand-Engraving-Tools.htm

Try 1000 mile socks. Must have covered hundreds (not quite a thousand yet) miles in them and they solved my ‘second/third day in crap conditions’ blister problem.
They do get a bit warm, mind.

But then if there is a problem with boot fit, as mentioned above, then no socks will stop it happening.

Mine comes from the pound shop, smells just the same as some far more expensive brands.

Dremel is a really handy tool for all sorts of jobs, but it has its limitations.
First up, the dremel brand flexidhaft is terrible. it dislikes bending past 90 degrees from the motor, slips a bit under heavy load and mine died pretty quick.
The corded hand piece is good for light jobs, but a really tiny chuck limits you to ‘mini’ burrs and cutting discs, ect, also, while it will run at high speeds, it severely lacks torque when in use.

Must say, that I loved mine until I saw these: http://www.woodworkscraftsupplies.co.uk/foredom-kits-c-436_155.html

Totally different beast! If you end up using the dremel a lot, then they would be a worthy upgrade.

Just got back from a day off jaunt over Blackstone edge/Mordor/Watergrove and bloody hell it’s a bit windy! Comparatively dry compared to the last few weeks though.
Have fun everyone and try not to get blown into the drainage ditch like I definitely wasn’t :P

S3 mini? Bit older, quite cheap and mine seems to be hard to break.

Seem to recall that the 492 was a three channel amp for a centre speaker and a pair of rear speakers @60w a channel.
It will power a single pair of speakers just fine through the rear two outputs provided that the surround processing on the amp is turned off.

I still have an old DSP-A5 which has 4x70w out which happily powers two pairs of speakers. I think it was about £40-50 at Cashgenerator or similar.

Edit: The 492 should have a sub- out too. You could always keep the best pair of speakers on the rear outputs and fill the sound a bit by adding an active subwoofer

For much cheapness I went with Eltax concept 600’s for uni, powered by a Cambridge audio amp.

I think the speakers were on offer for £70 and the amp was a cashconverters find for £30.
The speakers are surprisingly good for the money, bi-wirable, take banana plugs, ect. I added a sub and they are now hooked up to my tv and working fine, 6 years on..

Not for the brand snobs, though :-)

    What’s that? 14Omm Bfe’s in black?

Apart from maybe needing a couple of hoses trimming (can’t be arsed until they need a bleed), I don’t think there is anything else needed. It is pretty perfect imo :-)

Tbh, I don’t go to the pub because I find drunk people infinity more problematic than smokers..

There are nearly as many deaths now caused by air pollution as there are from smoking,

So 10s of millions of cars still doesn’t quite kill as many a few million smokers.

    Coz they’re outside, innit

It had better do something wonderful or be massively reliable for that price 8O
Although it is about 25 grams lighter than a reverb..

The clamping force of a qr should be equal on both sides.
I think that the issue may have come from some qr levers having the ability to jam in the rotor should they come undone when riding.
My front is lever-drive side so it protects the rebound knob on the forks, while the rear is on the non drive side.
As yet, I have not died.

About 125ml of 7.5wt and a schrader valve cap for the top, I seem to remember..

Edit. Right leg should have a coil, too, to allow a lower air pressure.
Some, but not all info should be lurking on the Tennaco website

400mm in total. The seatclamp is basic but very effective. No real play (you can feel ever so slight movement rotationally by hand though).
The under seat lever is smooth and rattle free too.

I spent a good portion of the first ride sitting down over rough stuff to see if it was just waiting to implode, but it was fine.
Just over 100 miles of Tod/ Blackstone edge/ Marsden has not caused any play or wobble yet.

Nope! 100 miles of abuse, no play, no probs and I love it!
Just need to bodge a cable release to an old left hand shifter and it will be hard to beat for the minimal outlay.
Shame that they have all gone, though. I could do with another..

Also, Tod has a microbrewery near to the railway arches, but I can’t remember the name.. Good stuff, though! Probably the reason why I can’t remember!

Is the info user edited? Not really used google for cycle stuff.

I look over the strava heatmap from time to time in order to find new stuff, though..

Tod is not far from Hardcastle crags.. Great place to walk, mess about in the trees, a bit of nature spotting and a look at the old mills on the river.

To counter, I have bought my last three phones and a some camerera equipment from them.

Aside from the shipping times (delivery 2 weeks from order) no probs.

I am aware that others seem not to have had it so easy. Particularly, as said above, with issues with returns.

Started at 130 on mine but it felt a little limited on the rough stuff.
Switched to 160 and it became more than a little vague on the ups.
Settled on 140 revs and it seems happy on pretty much everything.

    On a medium frame, btw.

I think that the only option would be to remove the existing seals and attempt to make up a matching set based on the dimensions of the originals.
As far as I know, there were no spares produced for those brakes.

Anyway, most chav mobils are usually either chrome, matt black or white.

    Not so sure about that!

Actually, looking at them has made that Santa cruz look positively understated!

I like understated raw hardtails, there is a time and a place for them. There’s also a time and place for something fun,

Hardtails aren’t fun? Really? or was that a reference to ‘fun colours’?

Tbh, I never thought it was about being a chav / anti-chav, however, purposely buying the brightest, most OTT paint job in the range certainly suggests an ‘Everyone look at meeeee’ attitude.

(Which might be a little bit chav)

It certainly looks a little less ‘playskool’ in black I think, but then, all my bikes are stealth, too. Just need to find a way to properly black out the tyre logos and I will be happy.
