done some Continental tyres on some Mavic wheels using some bmx tubes .

I had same issue at the valve where the tyre was too high to seat in the rim properly and all the air was going out .
I sanded a bit of the plastic on the tube where the valve is and pushed it down really hard in the rim .
It worked fine after that with a track pump .
but I used plenty of fairy liquid and inflated the tyre with the wheel off the ground .
then took apart the valve and added sealant with a serynge .

tried to get a dog last year and it was impossible .

Battersea were not very helpfull despite visiting our house and telling us it was all fine . after a few visits to their kennels in london with the whole familly , it worked out cheaper to buy a dog .

Miilau is my home town .

Viaduc is amazing , and after you drove on it , go back down to the town for views underneath .

from calais , 3 hours to paris , 1 hour to cross paris and then 6 hours to millau .

to cross paris if you go on the peripherique , it is porte d orleans you need , and then follow signs for orleans and clermond ferrant .
