Avid reader but don’t post much…

Always worth a look at second hand market, for 2k you could get something ace. A used Suhr perhaps if you really want a Humbucking super strat, maybe even worth looking at Fender Custom shop HSS for nearer the 3k mark.

If you are having something made, I’d look at Iveson guitars available through ATB guitars. Hands down the best luthier in the UK at the moment.

@tpbiker I’m R Charlie. Glad to help out ;-) think that was the unravelling of my race. Buried myself to try and bridge the gap to lead group for us but turns out it’s a pretty difficult thing to do on Zwift once your out of a group/draft…. I was pretty much done after that with a minute lost on the final climb, must go full gas from the go next time!

Anyway as the old race chat goes: could’ve, should’ve, would’ve…didn’t, much to learn!

Excellent work chaps, really good fun and am completely done in now…. thanks (I think)

Didn’t realise how important the tactics are on a zwift race pretty mad really, now i understand why theres was so much concern with the start…. got absolutely gassed in case your wondering ;-)

Lots of effort trying to chase groups in the first 20mins or so on my own, settled into a good group but was then finished for the rest

Phil & front group – great effort, see everyone next week all being well

Thanks @nixie looking forward to the pain! Only done one other zwift race so we’ll see what happens

No opinion on the start, I don’t know any better… probably for the best

Pressure seems to have dropped – very suddenly when I was riding.

I’ll try again with the shock pump and see if it sorts it, maybe it just escaped past the seal on a big impact?

Thanks chaps. Still at full travel but just really soft, can air get past seals? They didn’t look to be damaged

whitestone – thanks for the suggestion – the Kielder loop sounds great.

Do you have any further info on that one?

Cheers all. Some cracking ideas there :)

Cairngorms loop sounds great – anyone have a link?

Or is that the one on bikepacking.com?

There will be 3 of us, were all pretty fit and comfortable riding 6+ hours so I’m not too worried about distance, just the fun factor I guess and Ideally I think we’d prefer bunkhouses/hostels etc

Sounds daft but when I feel like that I ask myself – “what would Martyn Ashton do” and get on it. Im sure he’d swap the shittest day in the world to turn the pedals again.

Boost will become the new standard for sure. You won’t see many 2017/18 bikes without a boosted fork. Personally I wouldn’t bother buying anything else if your looking to future proof but you may pick up a bargain in 15×100 (old standard)

I have a 2017 boost 34 Performance fork for sale – have a look in the for sale section (shameless plug)

    :)

    Hi Andy.

It is entirely up to you, you are most welcome to fill it out again. I appreciate your input.

I have done lots and lots of reading so far, I hope to find more issues that i haven’t considered. I’m not after pages of stats or bias/unbias.. I am looking for frequent potential problems to solve through better design.

    Thanks,

    Chris.

Hi matt_outandabout – yes i tend to not use forums at all i am afraid, although this is by far the friendliest forum I have come across so far. I am just not keen on the whole argumentative sometimes patronising know it all bloke thing that tends to happen with people safe behind a keyboard under an anonymous name.

I have posted this on other forums – Snowboarding, Ski, Mountaineering, Climbing, Road Cycling, Outdoor Instructors, Surfing etc etc with people just giving me abuse saying how rubbish and crap the survey is and how the hell I am a university student etc…. Before my final year started in september I have been out working for the Oberalp Group, I spent 14months designing rock climbing and mountaineering equipment so I do have some relevant experience and know what i’m looking to find out, the questions are tailored to do that.

Bottom line is if you don’t want to help out or you think its rubbish or disagree with my views or questions – then don’t bother filling it out, I do not want anyone to do this who is unhappy or disagrees with what I am trying to achieve.

I am very grateful to all singletrack users and fellow riders to be able to sell kit and for your feedback on my survey.

    Thanks

    Chris.

Thankyou everyone, great to have people responding! I know how annoying it can be to fill in surveys!

It is very general at this stage and yes the outdoor and adventure market is very very saturated with lots and lots of pointless me too products, hence lots of time spent doing the relevant research to create something we all want/need that solves a problem.

As i analyse data I am sure a narrow & specific survey will be required.

24 Hour pogo sticking…. brilliant! I thought it more likely to be electric fat bike enduro

Now changed to night, day & both. thanks for pointing this little error out! In terms of sport selection i want participants to select the one they feel they categorise themselves as or feel most strongly about. thanks again all.
