I guess it depends on the dog. Our Vizsla will run all day, but is very young.

Yeah, it’s in later life when you find their joints pack up. Allegedly. I’m not chancing it.

She’s great with my Sisters Kids who she see’s once every few months too.

Our puppy still likes them. When they’re adults they get iffy. It’ll be friends of your sister’s kids that you’ll have to watch. Might be fine but of the half-a-dozen I’ve met they all dislike children (not aggressive, just avoid them, unless cornered/harassed).

A classic YMMV I suppose. We’ve had no issues with the 7 Vizsla’s we’ve owned as a family. May have been lucky.

I once flew back from Florence, and as we were boarding the plane, an Aircraft Mechanic was fettling the seat next to me. He was actually removing the armrest between the centre and window seat, to make a large bench seat. The last person on was an enormous whale of a woman, who must have been at least 35 stone. She sat right next to me and proceeded to struggle around for 20 mins to take off her trainers…ewww.

Another woman across the aisle then tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I’d mind swapping with her son as he was young and they hadn’t got seats next to each other. I’ve never moved so fast.

I guess in a round about way I’m saying this has my full support.

Was there on Saturday. Lime Burners is a mess, and the ridge and furrow is a killer on the back and ar*e.

Beaters was in good nick. Good for a bit of exercise, but that’s about all.

Naked Wines, a little research and all was brilliant. I used the cashback an went with the plan of £30/month in buying a case every 2/3 months. 6 Drink Now, 2 Nice occasions, 3 for the cellar. ended up working very well.
Put me on to these two

Neither cheap, both a bargain Went up to Fowles (ladies who shoot) a few weeks ago to sample the 2010 releases…

That Ladies Who Shoot is lovely. Had a few bottles of that. Lovely winter wine for cold Sundays and stews!

We’ve got a couple of Vizslas (not the one in the video). They’re sprinters so they’d make a good down-hill trail dog. You can take them for ‘walks’ on a bike as well but you can’t really take them to a trail centre or take them on ‘proper’ XC rides. They’re not built for that kind of fast endurance. I’m sure they’d do it but you’ll bugger their joints.

They bond very closely to immediate family – very loyal and don’t go off by themselves. But… you can’t leave them alone during the day and they’re not good with kids they haven’t been brought up with.

I guess it depends on the dog. Our Vizsla will run all day, but is very young. She’s great with my Sisters Kids who she see’s once every few months too.

I agree that they are very loyal and a bit of a velcro dog! They’re never too far away from you.

By all means treat yourself to a new frame, but it’s worth pointing out (obviously perhaps) that buying an aggressive frame won’t turn you into an aggressive rider.

No, but more agressive geometry does wonders for the confidence and before you know it, your riding more aggresively as a result.

Had a set of stans flows on superstar switch evo hubs fo a year, they’ve survived everything I’ve thrown at them, but the bearings are a bit cheap and need chaging after a few months. £200 deliverd i see to remember.

Also had a set of superstar am-490’s on superstars, and they’ve been good too. £150ish i think.

Used SLX and XT brakes. My SLX rear developed a leak at he resevoir, and was sent back to Tweeks, they replaced it immediately under warranty.

No noticeable difference in power/feel between XT and SLX in my opinion. Either are a great brake with loads of power.

PS. I also have a Cube Acid which got me back into mountain biking. I then migrated to an Evil Sovereign which i built up with new bits. It’s the business, and has taken me everywhere and anywhere. I still have the Acid, and use it on the road and for anything really long distance.

If your steerers been cut, then make sure it’ll fit the new frame, otherwise it’s new forks time.

As i’ve got older, my nose hair has become an increasing problem. I’m mid 30’s and every so often look in the mirror to see a spiders leg hanging out of a nostril.

We went to Le Mans last year and one of our party deficated in the shower block, believeing the shower cubicle to be one of those hole in the floor frenchie facilities. It wasn’t until he sobered up and saw everone queing up for a shower the next day that he realised his mistake.

Oh dear. Stop arguing you losers!!! Let’s stick to the real issues from the op-should a man shave his John Thomas?

I’m strangely inclined to give it a go given that so many seem to! Any tips….veet? blow torch? lawn mower?

Adjustable beard trimmer, don’t go mad, trim not deforest.

Don’t shave, trim. No need to let a razor blade loose down there but a bit of grooming does no harm and if the lady likes it then why not??

    ^^ This.

A bit of a tidy up is nothing to be ashamed of. Makes your missus more keen on visiting the area too, if she hasn’t got a burst mattress effect going off when she pulls down the Y-Fronts.

Our office is small, with a toilet on the 2nd floor above the open plan office space below. Being of victorian construction it has a unique way of resonating sound, and if it’s quiet you can even hear the tear of toilet roll from the room above when sat at your desk.

Needless to say, any sort of number 2 activity is a serious no no, unless one finds oneself in a desperate situation.

I have in extreme cases waited until lunchtime, taken to the M1 which is close by and sped to the nearest services to negotitate the release of my hostages.

I reckon they’ll be a lot of people buying them and then losing the itch. Probably be a few come up second hand before next winter, at vastly reduced prices. Might be worth waiting.

You did the right thing but with hindsight…

Did he have a wallet on him? Get his name and let him go, then tell the old bill.

Or if it’s a manageable situation, restrain him and call the police.

At least you got your bike back.

Had a similar situation when someone vandalised my car a few years back, we caught him and there was a bit of a scuffle as we tried to restrain him. He came off a bit worse lets say, and when the police arrived I was totally honest and said we’d had to be a bit physical to restrain him and they didn’t care in the slightest.

It’s amazing how easy and cheap it is, I’ll never buy the ready made stuff.. unless I am in the cinema

I just toss mine in icing sugar.

We’re tight. We’ve been known to make a big batch at home and take it to the cinema in food bags. Must be my northern heritage.

Cheers xiphon. I did consider this, and ruled it out due to spec and expense. I’ve got the laptop and ultimately it’s not going to be used in harsh environments, I just need something to keep it safe when in transit/when the dogd leaping around on it in the truck etc.

    Samsung Galaxy S3.

They do feel a bit plasticcy, but get a decent rubber case and all that goes away.

You’ll get a good deal on them now too as the S4 is just coming out.
