You lot and Banana should like this then. Retro documentary. Before they got patronising and over dramatic. STV has the whole lot.

over 5 years my 6-8 Mbit connection has fallen to 2 sometimes less, as more people have joined up. Drop outs are more common. Line is good and I can see the exchange at the end of the street.

When this contract is up I’m moving to virgin.

You'll be too late for securing much this year but this place would be great for your purpose . we did much the same last year.

Hogmanay accomodation is best booked about a year in advance.

Try Stayatlochlomond.com and other independant accomdation listings. Everyone is departing visitscotland listings for the very reason you describe!!

You will not get current youtube content to run. I was donated 5 G4 emacs recently with os 10 and they are not recent enough for current flash/youtube stuff. It took till mid 2009 for My 10 year old G4 733 on osx to no longer keep up with flash upgrades or youtube.(Best VFM ever!!)

Upgrade isn't that hard, just remember it has a CRT tube and high voltage is present even when off.

macupgrades.co.uk are handy for old stuff.

A lot of projects/accessing funds seem to be about the process, creating work for people, and not entirely about the end result. leaving a lasting legacy doesn't seem to be high on the agenda these days either.

By the time you've got your cut of the dough there is nothing left to do what you wanted in the first place. or it just ends up crap.

"We're just doing a little tour…"(20 people shuffle in and disturb a lighting session.) Followed by…"can you turn the lights on?"

"Can you help me set up"…(4 tables and some chairs, while 4 leisure staff stand idle, some moaning about weak hands)

We've forgotten about…(you are in charge of the bookings!!!)

Is the turnround/getin/out time different for EVERY show? (well it's a different show, what do you think?)

I'm pretty sure simon is correct and there is an auto restriction with motorcycles these days.

I think you would have to retake the test if you wanted to ride a geared bike at a later stage.

You don't know until you go and see it. Most will be good, there may be some crap. Don't feel you have to sit it out if you think its rubbish.

My pal is in this. She doesn't do crap, so this is a good bet.

Glasgow also has Common wheel, Gorbals and Castlemilk cycle projects doing similar things.

Location seems ideal for the target market to me. There are pubs nearby too. Bonus.

15 miles takes you pretty far out –

Bearsden or Milngavie if you are rich and have a family!
West end can be a bit studenty and noisy as a result. Traffic here can be hell, but shouldn't bother a cyclist.

Plenty of better value stuff elsewhere in the city with just as good standard of living. Glasgow is pretty well mixed and it is likely there will be social housing not far from wherever you are. There are even pockets of poshness with services better than the west…in the east and south but don't tell anyone.
Parts of The south/east will soon have excellent motorway access.

Drive around and have a look, you will soon get a feel for the locations.

Three people have come out hysterically crying and one had to have an ambulance called.

That's horrendous – why did they react so badly?
We've just lost 20 people and I don't think any were hit that badly by the news.

They were the ones that had to stay?!!

Starter motors can fail. But they are quite cheap and easy to swap.

Take it off and check for dust to rule out DMF.

I had DMF breakup symptoms on a transit but it turned to be a combination of a failing battery and terminal corrosion causing resistance.

The go cycle is actually good for short hilly commutes. It only allows a burst of assistance when you need it. There is a motor that can fit inside the seat tube too and lets you use the gears.

Dinna knock them till you try them BTW. For lugging stuff and commuting I can see them being fantastic. And for older keen cyclists that need a bit of help I don't see why not. And the unfit will probably get fitter just by doing something.

Yep we discovered the hibernating thing – Long after they were buried.

The compost heap of cherry blossom piled on top of the grave by a 6 year old and a 4 year old was a sight to see. It was an outpouring of grief that rivalled that of Diana's funeral apparently. (Not) We just liked climbing the cherry tree and cutting off branches.

It's a sad depressing picture of poverty, drugs, mental illness, and lack of education duplicated the world over. I doubt you can escape it.

You could always stay here and do some volunteering or something? You might even change someones life.

There may well be a local isolation valve under the cistern.

If your toilet is modern it may have a fancy pnuematic flush actuator. These may break as well in a similar fashion to the plunger.

    Check the linkage hasn't broken.

As burt says if you get into it and want to go anywhere securely and in a straight line it needs to be one of these below. There is a centre storage hold that could be fitted out for a youngster. It has bulk heads, bouyancy and great stability and will do 5mph all day with little effort. you might have to sell a car though!

A canadian open canoe in the uk is a disaster waiting to happen. Any wind will make progress hard work. How do you get it upright after a capsize? How do you empty it?

    http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_u-DMg4-XIfs/S8I59VDB3BI/AAAAAAAAAO4/kLEspcO8xJo/s1600/IMG_1005-721732.jpg

But if you are beginners you should not be going out in conditions any worse than my second pic. If you are getting wet you are beyond what a beginner should be out in. So a good tracking, double sit on top is fine, a sea kayak better. I would dismiss the canadian open boat unless you are Ray mears or you put an engine on it.

    http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_u-DMg4-XIfs/S8I5-aWM6_I/AAAAAAAAAPI/gnVmiiu1J8Y/s1600/IMG_1010-725222.jpg

To throw a spanner in the works how about pedalling? Hobie are bringing out a great pedalling tandem this year. Expensive but could fit maw paw and the wean easily. Effcient paddling takes time to learn, pedalling is much easier! My boat is dry and can keep up with the double speed machine in the other pic. I can make good progress upwind when all other kayakers are heading downwind! and it sails too.

Anyway Get some training from BCU, capsize in a pool and go and practice capsize at a beach. Ive been afloat since I was ?tiny and went solo kayak at 8

Remember not to drop your nuclear submarine. The Faslane Shiplift.

But handy for repairs when you drive into the French, or the sea bed.

On the small scale, The old ROC posts are interesting, yet concerning.
