The Emotions are brilliant, and the wee Gocycle is pretty nippy. Stuff being old. I want one now.

Range tends to be about 50 miles, but if you just keep the juice for the hills it’ll go for days.

I concur, These threads serve no useful purpose.

As do “helicopter at Swinley etc. I hope they are all right Threads.”

Give people a bit of respect and privacy and don’t gossip about them. If the person invloved wishes to divulge a disaster that’s up to them.

Do a wee search…miele or a henry or an oreck, simple devices not overbuilt or overmarketed. They work. Bagless is a waste of time with foosty smelly filters that dump the crap all over the floor when you empty them.

I think you have to FTP it.

iweb is designed for .mac accounts.

Softpress Freeway may be better for what you are after and is pretty idiot proof.

Scottish all season scooter, Heated Grips, Handlebar Muffs, Denali High beam LED. I scrapped my suit internal liners and use ordinary cycling waterproofs underneath if required. A pair of sealskins socks in extreme conditions. I should think a Honda PCX will have plenty power spare for heated grips.

The only weather that put me off the road was the deep snow. I find the bike is warmer than my van and doesn’t need its window scraped in the morning.

20 12 year olds playing against each other in the Library yesterday. Looked like Lybia. Library staff looked a little frazzled.

Cosybike could have provided THE best shuttle service from free carparking sites. Or even a cyclocreche for mummies and daddies and kiddies?

What would you pay for a ride at an event like this?

I think Coaster brakes should be on all kids bikes. I keep seeing kids bikes with massive brake levers they canny reach. Their wee hands just don’t have the power. This even includes specialist bikes for disabled kids!!

Also remember to make use of your Housing association if there is one, and your councillor’s and MP’s if it get serious.

I don’t muck about. My neighbours think I am the concierge.

Well the kids are 13 then…for the duration of the holiday. If you can get away with it. You might have to pay full price though cause it’s just as much effort.

But I have seen it from the owners point of view. We once had customers leave their young child in the middle of the lawn screaming its eyes out while mother hid in the hedge…?

Hmmmm was a nice idea, but hellish complicated rules and too many locks. Apparently you are not allowed to do anything in England without a permit.

Move it along the time line – (may need to deselect snap to grid) Click and drag the wave form, it will move about. Then export as whatever you like.
Or record “silence” as above if you don’t want it too clean and need atmosphere in the silence

with NFU and said I would use it for work purposes only and its only £200 a year

Yes do this, or insure them as a named driver on your insurance. Both of these options work out much, much cheaper (until they have an accident) than getting them their own insurance.

Until the insurance company does their homework in the event of a claim and your insurance is invalid. NFU only works for certain postcodes.

Personally I’d spend the Grand on a RTW air ticket at that age but you do what you like.

I’ve had 4 pals recently take up or look seriously into cycling/motorbikes as a transport alternative. 5 years ago they would have thought of bikes as toys/daft/too much like hard work. One has even asked me about electric bikes.

I reckon change has started…slowly…but confidence is high.

Also TJ has only been wrong once and it wasn’t even important.

The Flowers make for good postcode Gang boundary identification or for identifying road accident sites. I reckon there is a PhD in there somewhere if researched well enough.

Well if you are practical….I’d be looking at Entertainment installations in China and the East. There are loads of UK installation companies looking for qualified folk. Google PLASA (And use a spell checker. If you canny take care to spell correctly they are no gonna let you install a 20 Grand Dimmer system  )

    Check your licence!

A Transit Van may be ok. Lutons especially for recent licences may be excluded. Limits can be as low 2.5. We are finding loads of young stage managers canny drive 3.5 lutons!

I got a Daelim S1 – Insurance is £90, Heated grips Priceless. I considered the PCX but could get similar quality and more storage for less at Daelim. Commuted all winter only beaten by the snowy days. I find its warmer than my transit van and needs no ice scraping! Tank costs £10 to fill and runs for 2 weeks. Bike has survived down to minus 18 with no problems and only needed oil changes and filters.

No more dangerous than urban cycling. Obviously high speed roads same risk as a “real” biker.

Position further right to enhance visibilty?
Dunno, not much more you can do about cars that roll up to junctions and don’t appear to be going to stop. Yell and swerve/ brake hard. It’s not like you are going slowly. I don’t know what is behind you though. The sandwich board didn’t help either.

Put it down to experience and you know where the hazard is next time.

    Apples own forums?

Handy things – Mpeg Streamclip/external FW HD. Find out about Editing and delivery codecs.

Don’t show anyone unedited footage – they get bored and will die.

Find your local Media access centre/project, They can offer training and access to stuff that makes your life easier.
