Tom Hanks voiced Woody in the films, His brother recorded the voices in the Woody Toys.

Tom himself told the story on the One Show.

I liked the kids at Threemiletown that were recording “waving response statistics”.

When you replied “hello” or whatever they were noting it down and ticking a box. I like to think their form was laid out like this.

and seeing as you dont know what firewire is

Maybe a mac mini with final cut express would probably be the least frustrating solution. We teach grannies how to use this in about 30 minutes.

You capture them into vegas, movie maker, FCP etc. via a camera or deck with Firewire, edit them, then output to the format of your choice. Output an archive copy back to tape and keep the original tapes.
It’s worth getting a fast firewire HD to capture the footage too.

An AV company could do it for you.

You could stick with your PC and purchase software and hardware that might or might not work.

you could buy a new PC and decent edit software or just use movie maker for no thrills and potentially lots of hassle.

I’m struggling to see why this is racist:

Some local guys were coming down… “there’s a black couple up there, do us a favour and make sure they’re ok and know the way down” they said.

Same here, Unprepared Townies can be black as well you know. On the other hand if they are real overseas tourists they are probably more prepared than the locals.

Labcraft 12 v LED Strip is pretty good, I’m sure the stick on stuff is just as good and possibly cheaper too. (I needed the alu extrusion and waterproof exterior mounting)

125 scooter. I don’t imagine a geared bike being hugely different
    ins £90
    road tax £15
    Fuel per month £10 – 20
    service every 12 months £70

Never needed new discs or pads or belt in 8000 kms/2 years from new.

Lots of pro’s don’t always own. They Hire. at least to find one they are happy with then they might buy.

He should be after Final Cut Native stuff then to save Transcoding. Time is money and all that. I doubt you will get a broadcast standard camera for that budget that still works.

Sony A1 and its HD Hard Disc/Memory card pals
    JVC GY-HM100U

The SLR’s can produce good footage but are hellish for handling, and ergonomics. We get corporate folk shooting conferences on these but it looks like a right faff.

Your local media access centre may have subsidised kit you can hire or hireacamera.co.uk are handy if you need something fancy.

If he’s under 30 there should be plenty of startup grants to allow purchase of something. His business plan may include a loan?

Yes it may melt and there is a fire risk eventually.

Overcharging may cause rotten egg smell from battery. Bulbs may blow.

Stick a voltmeter on the batteryy to se what you are getting. more than 14 you should be concerned.

Mine was making 19 volts and ended up quite crispy.

BT is getting slower and slower. I had faster 2MB speeds 7 years ago.

Every speed jump has been mostly successful. But local uptake has meant it has actually just got slower over time. I had 20MB for a few months after fault diagnosis at the exchange but it has now dropped back to slower than dial up.

Re complaints – Just follow their process and get it over with ASAP to get to the UK based team who will activate engineers.

I’m sure Virgin tech support can be just as bad but I’m moving over to them.

He said it was Straw Poll Scaffolding – There is no alu or steel involved.

Anyway Is it really such an issue? Nobody has died. In the interests of good relations Let the folk get on and it will be away soon. Of course they should have asked first.

Ask if you can borrow their scaff to clear your gutters or something?

We’ve got two wee girls that make a point of passing the theatre when something is on, They have nae cash but we let them anyway and they sit and watch anything, and even help tidy up after. No’one asked them to, but they are delightful and just desperate to get out the cold and avoid the “gangs” and have something to do.

These might be an idea for rear mounting in a recumbent position in future. They have loads of “Watergrip”. Lots of tales of hobie mirage kayaks rescuing and towing powerboats. You wouldnt need to worry about optimum RPM or prop size. I think with a prop you will end up with an egg whisk with no oomph on a boat that size.

With a flat or Open Transom you could adapt it to any future charter boats too.

Carnival arts design might do. Fibreglass poles, canes, scrimm and PVA. Plastizote and a light coating of fire retardent.
