The pricks on motorbikes riding all over and wrecking Hemlock MTB trails yesterday. They are official MTB trails and the trail association work hard to keep them in good nick.

My Dievas is the perfect holiday beater. It won’t win any beauty contests, but I love the brutally industrial vibe (and I’ll never have a Ploprof 😕)

I’m trying to start an alternative pronunciation of tennis marvel’s surname Emma ReDACanu.

It hasn’t taken off yet, even though I’ve mentioned it twice to my wife in conversation.

Buying an entire new bike? Yes.*

However, upgrading over time, then getting a new frame and swapping stuff over is much more doable. Obviously there may be compatibility issues but it generally works pretty well unless you want a big change like wheel size or fork travel

@cynic-al if you’re asking about the above quote, it’s a random internet self-appointed “authority”. It’s enough to make me stop and consider before acting though.

Very helpful thanks folks. I’m becoming more embouldened (sic).

And how do you propose that might happen if no-one does?

    You are right of course

Do the council mow the verge?

No. That’s left to me or the neighbours’ gardener.

Sued for them driving into a boulder on the footpath?

Here’s a snippet from some prior Internet research:

If it is definitely your land then you can do what you want with it (stone bollards or fence it even).

If not, then be very careful – if I hit a stone (however well painted) on a public verge and knew that you’d put it there, I’d sue your proverbials off.

If someone damaged their car by driving into it

I’ve just done an enjoyable ride of the red plus downhill bit on a single speed gravel bike* – that should be quite indicative of the terrain.

*I avoided the rock garden bit tbf

I live nearish Rufford Ford. It’s normally quite manageable (being aware of your max wading depth helps) so I’m guessing these videos are when it is unusually deep and people aren’t checking the depth sign.

Just been doing some Googling, apparently the BMW X5 air intake is laughably low.

I have an aversion to ‘carb in carb’ things like a chip butty, or hash browns in burgers.

Pie in a roll firmly falls into that category. Macaroni pie in a roll?? New category necessary! Carb in carb in carb!
