    @retro and Spacemonkey.

I assume that the driver’s behaviour had been pretty appalling – he was convicted after all. He committed an offence that led to the death of someone else – not sure I’m happy living in a society that values any life at 300 hours of community service. There’s always mitigation and extenuating circumstances (lawyers are paid to invent them if they don’t exist) but even so…

Most telling part of the program was when the guy who killed the old lady through dangerous driving got 300 hours community service!

Their business was conceptual in that it hadn’t been commercialised (new technology). I’ve only conducted research since my termination. Have a new method for doing the same thing but still at drawing board stage although a new patent application has been filed. I have a website which I guess they have picked up on but no losses for them as they have no employees and no product or service. They say I’m competing but I’ve made no sales or generated any income.

Project – the other kid committed a criminal act – why shouldn’t he get a record? Read the OP – it wasn’t “just a fight”.

Yes – no question. Assume school pushing ahead with its own procedures anyway?

Went to an LFC game in Rome few years back. Quite entertaining with the level of abuse the buses got on the way into the stadium. We were behind big perspex ‘walls’ and one Roma fan legged it across the police cordon and came right up to the LFC fans waving a huge flag, giving it the verbals and gesticulating like only a Roman can…he was somewhat downhearted when 3000 LFC fans turned and applauded him!! Off he trudged back to his mates! When the LFC fans didn’t ‘bite’ to the bottle throwing etc, the Roma fans just started beating the cra* out of each other. We got locked into the stadium until 1am, the redeeming feature being a full showing of LFC stuffing MUFC in the league…those were the days…

I think 7 LFC fans got stabbed in the arse on the way to the stadium. To be honest, some of the behaviour of the LFC fans was shocking during the day. The Trevi Fountain area had been claimed as a meeting point and lots of tourists were being pushed in etc.

Thanks all – will pay more attention whilst “clicking” in future – no harm done.

Thanks, he ordered from States, think we looked at the other site beforehand and assumed…too much as it turned out.

I was recommended Native Space – I used them and hated their attitude (it was my first attempt at using a hosting service and needed a bit of help). No phone assistance and full of one line snotty email answers. If you know what you are doing they may be fine (get awards etc).

I changed to Fasthosts and they are much better (IMO) with real people on the end of the phone!

Isn’t there a “find my iphone” feature on these things? Maybe only if you have a Mac account though?

How much did you pay for the frame if I may ask? I may be breaking a bike soon that has a mint 2005 Enduro frame with newer everything else – no idea how much to ask!

Years ago my Hope skewer came loose several times at the front. There was a bit of a ‘to do’ on here about them. Consensus was that many of us that had these problems were ‘wrong’ and all those that didn’t have problems were ‘right’…

Its a kitchen ceiling that needs skimming. Not massive by any means but not comfortable doing it myself.

Sorry to hear your problems and apologies for the hi-jack but I need a plasterer in the Macclesfield area -anyone on here? Only a small job – skim of kitchen ceiling but hearing this makes me realise the pitfalls of what could be if I don’t get someone decent in!

How would legalising heroin stop junkies mugging/housebreaking? Is the suggestion that it would be free on the NHS? Surely, even in a legal context, junkies would still have to pay?

£66 return from Manc on a Saturday on train. Get a family railcard and maybe cheaper. Having commuted from just south of you to just north of where you are going on a regular basis…I’d use the train and spend the journey time planning and relaxing rather than fighting the roadworks.

There’s spaces on Pall Mall – cheaper than most and usually plenty of room. Quick cut through to TS. Assume most people think there won’t be any parking in that area so don’t bother trying…

Luminous – sorry, didn’t make myself clear. He would rather spend less but the price of the Endurance version that I have seems to be £300+. I realise you could knock a fair bit off that for the single battery version.

I was aware of Trout (who on here isn’t) but will now check out your website!

    Thanks

Excuse the ignorance – but do these lights come “ready to ride”? Would I have to buy extra chargers, batteries or mounts? I use Hope but a mate is interested in getting lights and £300+ for a Vision 4 seems a lot to me these days…

toby – thanks. I have connected to the ip address via Cyberduck.

    There is a public_html file.

I ‘appear’ to have uploaded my website files into it.

What I ‘seem’ to be missing is the next step which will make my website go live. I just get a holding page when I input the address.

Maybe intuitive to those that use these things regularly but not to me! I ‘seem’ to have uploaded all of my website files to Cyberduck. The Native Space URL that I have have links to a holding page that says my account is now active and that I should upload my website files to the public_html folder.

how do I physically do this?

That puts it in a different light…though without a TDS scheme in place, I wouldn’t have rented from the guy. Guess you get what you pay for (and what you might be able to afford in your case). Just gets my goat when witch hunts on landlords begin (clearly not in your case now…). You’d never guess that I’m a (reluctant) landlord!!
Hate every minute of it and there’s no difference between landlords and tenants in my book – some are good, others not!

Why didn’t you just refuse them access until you had a chance to sort it out with the landlord?

My story of dodgy tenants…didn’t pay their rent then fecked off…you’re hardly on the moral high ground are you!?

I have the TZ7 and rate it highly. My only gripe is the HD video doesn’t seem to work well with uploading to a Mac. I posted on here before and the recommendation was to use handbrake. That does work but is a bit time consuming. As I want ease of use above anything else i will probably buy something else now.

Seems to be a route that most people like – tough but not too tough for newer riders and challenging enough for most, dependent on the speed you ride it at. The extra loop makes it worth the drive (for those that need to).

I like them the way they are – had pretty good experiences so far. I do check user histories more now than before as there have been a few scammers, but like others have said, we need to take responsibility ourselves instead of pushing for more nanny state regulation.

Minimum post level is a silly idea.

Thanks for the quick responses – however, Print Entire Workbook still results in a separate pdf for each and every tab rather than collating it all as a single pdf?

    Any clues?

Jenson has 09 El Guapo frame at 949 dollars!!

Would love one but not my size. Its always been that irrational "I want it" bike for me for no other reason that its looks…

So a summary thus far might read:

Some dog owners appear reasonable, some are clearly morons.
Some non-dog owners appear reasonable, others are morons.

    I guess life goes on…
