tenacious – did you have to swop to BT to get those deals or simply renew a contract?

I have fortnightly injections with drug delivery (refrigerated) every 8 weeks. They provide the sharps bins and take them back when full. They ask before every delivery if I need a new one. Cheshire based though drugs delivered by private firm from afar – guess its all outsourced and each bin gets charged for so they are pretty keen to issue new ones.

pacemaker – that sounds scary as hell – did you flog it or did the dealer take it back in the end? Also, I assume you researched the issue – was it common or do you think you were unlucky? I only ask as the Alhambra is a vehicle I have half an eye on.

Did it hit him on the side of the head? Always wondered about cricket helmets in that none of them seem overly fit for purpose. The Stuart Broad face re-arranging ball for example – why the hell have a face guard that doesn’t guard the face? They don’t seem to have impact protection either – would have thought a layer of PS like a bike helmet would slow down the impact, especially as batsman often ‘duck’ into the delivery when they get hit.

Hope he comes through this OK.

Insurance? Some policies have accidental damage clauses. I got a new frame after stacking in the alps. It was M&S.

When you do blow your leaves please make sure you stick to the rules and blow them straight off your own garden into the road so that they can clog the drains and blow straight onto other peoples’ gardens. Thanks.

Supplementary question please. If I share folders as described above – can others submit files and put them in that folder as well? That is to say change a document and update it or put an entirely new document/file in there?

teeto – did you ad-lib with that or build to a certain design? Its the kind of size of store that I want but am pretty clueless as to how to go about it.

OK, will use the Tesco voucher option 3:1 and maybe even go “club class”, I have quite a capacity for peanuts! Heading to Dun Leary – won’t even bother with the real spelling!

    Thanks all

flying not an option as we’re golfing including in north wales on the way out. ALso picking others up in Dublin so need a big car, which tends to be pricy from hire places.

V8 – Irish Ferries talk of Club Class and free drinks and snacks – is that what you meant by first class?

uhmm ok then, mine wasn’t as pricey as I thought. Mondeo diesel full service with brake fluid change for 250. I was expecting nearer the 150 mark as Ford dealer does main service for 200 I guess they have had to drop their prices since indies were allowed do service within warranty periods.

I think he’s suggesting that he is NOT breaking the contract, the contract allows for him to regain possession. I’d still be pissed if I were the tenant but talking to her should be the first step. It may be solvable in that she may not particularly wish to stay (as mentioned above).

I guess my view is that this isn’t really a COD game. I liked COD for its relative simplicity. Aim a gun, shoot someone. There’s no real “total carnage” maps either – like Nuketown.

When that idave stuff was flying around, before he departed with someone else’s money, I read a quote from someone on here. It said something along the lines of “get used to enjoying the feel of hunger”.

As someone who eats more than breathes I thought that was absolute gumph. However, I lost two stone on the low carb regime and without actually enjoying the hunger – I treated it as a challenge. Rather than cleaning that next tech climb, challenge yourself to refusing the next snack.

Disclaimer, I have now gained half a stone and just enjoyed my second pack of rolos this morning…

Maynards wine gums by the bag/box. Trick is to eat them all quickly so that you don’t feel like voming until they are all gone!

Why does life balance have to mean giving up work! Stupid bloody comment that always rears its head on these threads. Nurseries are taking the proverbial, parents have a right to work without being fleeced or abused by pond life on here.

Why aren’t local businesses up in arms? Some mtbers are tight arses but many travel and stay local and spend. We used to drive 3-4 hours to ride this loop and other local options! I live 20 mins away now and won’t be bothering again.

Bradley – sometimes the medical profession gets it wrong. Lie if you feel it will get you further down the process. Its far far worse pretending that there’s nothing wrong so I applaud you. Have you been offered any support at all?

They’ve been that price on there for a long time, which suggests to me that they aren’t exactly in huge demand. That said, its a bargain if you think it is rather than what anyone else thinks.

I think your biggest mistake was being a “professional” driver and daring to drive under 50! Coppers (without blues on), buses and especially cabbies round here know the law – NEVER drive anywhere under 50mph.

Actually, Manchester has some kind of bike hub. I’ve seen signs for it hinting that it has storage and showers etc. Anyone used it?

ska – you’re forgetting insurance, camera systems, keys, labour etc etc.

50p a day! Why would anyone bother to build something for people that have the expectation that 50p a day will secure their pride and joy!

I suspect quite strongly that most mtbers would be far too tight fisted to pay for the safe storage. There are a few bike lockers at Macc station that seem well used however. No idea what the cost is. If Tesco were to do similar I would imagine all kinds of liability issues arise (from someone who had their car dinged there recently!).

Did you accept the ticket? Did you not ask questions? Did they show you how they measured your speed?

I would register your complaint at the station pronto, maybe she was having a bad day and others felt her wrath as well.

Then again, maybe your speedo is fecked.

For a game that bores the pants off much of the general public, it NEEDS people like KP. Look at county games, you could make entry free and games would still be half empty.

The England team is / has been full of knobs, some that entertain(ed) and some that still play.

KP is known for the help and time that he freely gave to youth team / younger players and actually scoring runs at more than two an hour. Root is known for being a punch bag, Jimmy is known for Tourette’s and I think Broad is injured…

hora – these threads have always descended into ego fuelled debates about one’s driving ability being able to negate the ‘need’ for winter tyres. That type of sanctimony isn’t being aired today…yet.

Does this event use the trail centre routes or all ‘off piste’ stuff?

Blimey, how refreshing! The driving gods must still be doing 70 in a 30 zone on their way to work, knowing that its not speed that causes crashes – just other road users unable to predict their collective awesomeness…

poolman – on the other side of the road and to the right a little bit i.e. not directly opposite. I’ve had the sausage ciabatta and the roast gammon on bloomer and both were fantastic.
