Well my ‘large being big enough’ fears were unfounded, it seems that I had sub-consciously accepted my chub status and ordered the xl! They fit me well! 6ft, 92kg (gut heavy!)

w00dster – DPD are taking photographs on the doorstep of deliveries so worth asking them for that. Our driver only seems to take close ups of the parcel on the floor though – did tell him that having more of the house, or at least the door number might help…

An Asgard shed that was ordered well before any panic, delivery delayed twice and now unlikely to see it this side of summer. They claim to be focussing on the needs of the NHS so either the NHS has ordered a shed load of sheds or they’re making things other than sheds in the factory!

That means the whole garage clearing excercise is on hold, just when I finally had firstworld time to do it..

Also far too many coats, the aim being that at least one would fit! Three heading back to where they came from!

If they’re close together or come close to others on the way to the course, then they’re idiots. However, four people ‘could’ play golf together without getting overly close.

dooosuk – that is actually the legal bit that I’m trying to understand. I assume everything is camera driven so won’t cost them much. The resources bit as I understand is what was used to win the Beavis case because in that precedent it was a free car park, therefore to set up and run a deterrent scheme they need to issues penalties as they have no other income streams.

Just thought there might be a definitve position as it comes up on here quite often. This particular company are not exactly seen to be market leaders in their approach…

Its the legal position that I’m seeking to understand. Is it legally permissable to charge £100 for a 15 minute over stay in a car park that has defined parking charges? Code of Practice says MINIMUM 10 minutes grace (I didn’t know that at the time), then add the time to park (the ticket has my entry time rather than my parking time) and I’m sub 5 minutes.

Cougar – not sure tbh as its not local to me, think it used to be an Asda car park but that shut down. Its a high street location (behind the high street)

You might have noticed the request for info on the legal position re a fine related to over staying in a paid for car park?

If I’m legally obliged to, then I will pay. However, if the legal position is that I should only be charged the £1 then why would that not be the best course of action?

Further checking on the BPA website suggests that all members should offer a mimimum of ten minutes grace period.

That leaves 5 minutes maximum over stay, for £100!

I grew up in Basingstoke – got to know London quite well!

Bartons Mill was a place that was walkable (to Old Basing), it was good back in the day and a nice setting. Probably surrounded by Barratt homes now!?

Rockape – it was my first trip to Saalbach so can’t compare year on year etc.

Ski hire is bloody expensive IMO so worth looking around b4 you go. There are sales in the big shops though but I only noticed that at the end of the stay! Might have been tempted to buy boots at those prices.

They are struggling lower down, its like a giant slush puppie but also some great snow a bit higher up. We didn’t get to Zell am See but really liked Leogang area and parts of Fieberbrunn.

The black down into Saalbach was by far the best run of the lot. Enjoy!

What’s the view on buying in resort? I’m off to Saalbach tomorrow and wondered whether expertise outweighs ability to alter locally?

Be interested to hear what that resort is like, we are headed to Altaussee not far from there, its a nice little place but limited now the kids are getting quicker!

OP, ignore all the ‘giver uppers’ – report it, that way you’ve done all you personally can do…unless the cam shows you slowing to 50 in the outside lane whilst giving him the finger and then a series of swerve ins and outs between lanes…in which case let it go!

Well we made it, no sodding clues anywhere about stage times but the lazy arse didn’t turn up until 1.20am! We got in at 11pm without hassle but packed by then!

The venue itself was an eye opener, never having been to one of these things before. I was expecting fairly small affair but the WHP is enormous! I was completely wrong about the £6 cans of Red Stripe as well, an absolute bargain at £5.50 a pop…

Mccraque is wise, I am indeed feeling like living death today! Won’t be making a habit of it but really enjoyed it!

Annoying head unit that is very loosely attached to the strap. Move the head unit around with your hand or when attching to your head and the bloody thing comes off the strap!! Annoying at the best of times, down right dangerous if climbing etc
