concur with Canadian roadtrip but add in the must have heliskiing in Revelstoke (20-80 footsnow per year) eaglepass heliskiing was fantastic, party of 4 in one heli, guided air bagged and burton fish board, 7 – 10 uplifts per day. prob better than the weddingday night!!

Put a cane creek double barrel on the back, according Steve Jones of Dirt magazine and something bigger on front "quality not quantity"!

Boards are designated by weight of rider, level of skill and intended purpose to a lesser degree height of rider, so not easy to recommend, board hire in canada is good as we found in 2009.
Take care if you fly air canada as I think they require a plastic board container, expensive and difficult to find in UK .
I am 5'10" 73 kg ride a Burton Custom 162 and have 15 years riding ( 3 weeks a year) and it has been used on piste, back country and Heliskiing, never broken one (had 3) and sell when the pop has gone out of them, but most of the time the bases have hardy been scarred, so done well.

I have snapped 2 hubs on my maxle 5, and gone with the BETD GOLDTEC bolt,
the maxle lite is a poor design.
I contacted Hope and they are aware of the problem, even though my hubs were not Hope,
It is a shame they no longer produce the original non tapered maxle, albeit it is still listed on the web site under manuals If I recall correctly.
The BETD bolt is a little more fiddly to negotiate into the thread, I find placing the bike upside down give better line up vision
So far not had any further breaks.

    Mmmm
despite the attitudes of most of this forums contributors, we are all guilty of spending what probably to most of the world would believe is obscene amounts of money on a push bike!!
    IMO

For a bike of such great capabilities the Turner has too steep a head angle and too short a front centre, the five has better geometry slacker, lower BB and longer front centre. The fun starts when these bikes are pointed down hill and the slacker Orange is better for the fun part, uphills depend on good engine and balance in the trick bits, never been convinced any of the rear suspensions make that much difference uphill at slow speeds.

Diagnosis, diagnosis, diagnosis then appropriate treatment follows like night follows day!

Minimum diagnostic input should be full clinical exam, Ultrasound and MRI the latter being fairly definitive, a large number of true rotator cuff tears do need surgery, most done these days with keyhole surgery.

2 westfields bike and car engined, one Striker and 2 Caterhams, the Caterhams by far the slickest quickest and fittest still run one as a track day car

would suggest to any of the whingers of any political hue to try running a small business with all the red tape and hidden regulations, perhaps it is better to just do the 9-5 without the aggravation!

Flux with 120mm forks on is a riot, poss not quite a s robust unless you get the DW version, but a great woods/singletrack bike, and the less gnarly trailcentre unless you whack a really big tyre on it!

top speed today at West Kirby 47.3 knots! down the wall, Farrel as usual had FTD
I was mullered on an old school 4m, the new sails are so much better, the speed sailors were on 5.7m!!
    blowing a steady 30=35 knots

Although I still sail, the phase "you should have been here 2 hours/days ago" does not apply to hills and trails as they remain the same shape /size irrespective!! A distinct bonus!

I am 5'10 on a 18" five and run it with an inline seatpost 50 mm stem , 1 x 5mm spacer and Pikes, and very low rise bars and even that set up occasionally seems a little difficult to get weight over the front end enough, so I suspect if you have 3-4 spacers it would make it quite difficult.

Check you house hold insurance as some do a pet insurance as well so you can get a bundled product discount, alternatively put some dosh monthly in an account, if after 12-15 years you have no claims then its a holiday for you rather than the insurance agent.
Just remember pet insurance is a serious golden egg for the insurance companies

27 .8 lbs, stans zxr rims db spokes, tubeless, carbon bars thompson post and stem (50mm) xt crankset, sram 7 rear mech , xt cassette and front changer, hope mono minis 160 mm discs flight saddle and Pikes. So could get lighter with Fox Forks.

Alan Milway of Descent world had one of these Oranges

    catvet

I have both, as well as a Turner flux, the Orange feels more bomb proof than the Spot, is easier and cheaper to maintain, albeit the turner bushing s are generally excellent.
The head angles on the orange are slacker than the turner, making it a better descender, but the turners suspension is poss more supple up very gnarly technical uphill.

    Both are great bikes
with care both can be built into 27 lb bikes

Would go full sus,I have 140mm full sus and 130 mm hard tail, and run the Fs on a variety of tyres 2.35 minions down to 1.9 trailrackers for winter flat trails. The FS you can ride longer faster and harder.

Not many Rallycars out there with no suspension or even only front suspension.
