I dont count in miles on the mtb, just hours, usually 8-10 hours per week over 3 – 4 rides in Brechfa per week. Just got a road bike and I do have a computer and that shows 25 miles and average 13.5 mph around Hilly carmarthenshire.
Seen a few aluminium ones, trouble is you cant get a frame only in the UK, half tempted to get a frame only from the states, not sure about the warranty though. I also have an 08.
My Honda civic speedo shows 75mph when I do 70mph when I borrowed my fathers sat nav. I was wondering why everyone was passing me every where. Mind you I do stick to the speedo. Which I thought generally overestimate your speed.

Yep, been there done that. There are 'rideable' tracks up there. What I notice is that it won't be long before freezes again. The only time to be wary of Brechfa is in high winds, you just don't know what the trees will do.
It survived the worst Brechfa could throw at it (it was very wet out there tonight), couldn't fault it. Used the DX light up top and helped on the tight switchbacks. It made the tabletops a lot safer. at two hours back at the car was when the red light came on.
Hi Chris as far as I remember I'm geting a full trout? I can see a lot of orders for these as soon as people see me coming down the final descent in to Brechfa. Nothing quite like seeing this bright star like light from through the trees.
