    Seen one in real life. Not impressed at all, found it very ugly. Heavy for what it is.

    As a nurse one of the jobs I have to do is gauge how long someone has left on this earth, we have to ask relatives to come in, we always wonder how safe they drive especially expecting the worse.

    On a lighter not that sketch in Gavin & Stacey with the police motorcyclist cracks me up

    Aye the secret I have known for 20 years, it’s strange to see it so busy, though I never do the Gorlech I always base myself from Bergwm and head on up. You’ll see me there three times a week with two sheepdogs. Sold my GoPro the other day after I realised there was only so many times for me to watch the clips.

    cheers many ideas. Went to a gamefair years ago and there was a pair there that had autofocus, found those very clever.

    The only problem I have encountered is that the lens shield doesnt like any dust/gritty environments. If I had my time again and next time it will be a mju waterproof thingy.

    The Artist

    It’s my 3rd enduro, as long as you follow a guide to service the fork on mtbr.com when its due you will enjoy a real plush solid fork. Better imho than a 09 Talas 36 RC2. The rear shock is suited to the enduro. The new forks are sorted and with mark Dennis as the Suspension guy at Spesh you wont have problems. I find the carbo front nicer than the aluminium for taking some edge off the rough stuff.

    I got the 08 s-works enduro sl frame only w/o seatpost for not much money, sold my present on sale enduro expert frame, and built it for less than £1700. I think that’s a great buy.

    PS I’ve ordered a set of traversee wheels on the sly…I’m getting married next Feb, so not sure how she will react after that date…

    Thos Lapierre Spicy’s getting rave reviews mind…..

    Although the Park Book is great, the website and a laptop is my preferred method.

    One area I’m very very careful with is the BB threads, last thing you want is to cross thread that area. So ask if the frame comes chased. Headset are another that reuires a bit of thread and bar or the right tools.

    Oh and gear cable caps.

    I’ve had various SP bikes within 4 bar.

    Gemini
    575
    Heckler

    I’ve gone back to 4 bar and notice a bigger benefit in rough ground and of all of my SP bikes the gemini was the most fun.
    The 575 wasnt as good on off camber stuff compared to 4 bar, you just have to alter the way you ride.
    My heckler wasnt the most reliable, seized bearings which came apart in the frame. So if I was ever going the sp way for maintenence I’d go Prophet. Saying that I’m more than happy with 4 Bar.

    Did mine 6 weeks ago in Brechfa, basically off piste stuff, hit a tree, 25mph arm went one way body went the other. No pain, It went back in after 5 minutes, was due an MRI a few weeks ago. Can’t have an MRI due to metalwork in my ear so awaiting on Tuesday a CT scan under contrast and an USS to see what I have damaged. I’m suspecting a Labrum tear, though my Bicept and Deltoid muscles are weak.
    The thing with me I used to work in Trauma and Orthopaedics so lucky to knoe the consultants.
    The pain at night started 3-4 days after the injury and at times very very painful. Morphine, Co-Codamols and max strength Ibuprofen just about works…
    It has made me think about the way I ride, will try to ride the same way as I did. I have to think what if I were in a more remote part of the forest…with a #leg etc etc.
    Consider being off the bike for 6 weeks, see a Dr, though my neighbours son did it a few weeks before me and just used the road bike on the roller to keep fit-ish.

    oneoneoneone, That’s the tip I want, most of these I didnt do when I sold my Heckler frame and it went for a song. Cheers Peter, will give me today then to getb it all sorted. It’s a Enduro SL frame, like most things having a small frame limits the amount of people it would fit.

    Bike Brechfa seem to be not taking guests;

    Try these, there’s a few around the area;

    I originally come from St Clears but at one point moved to Whitland and that is as far as I got to being near Pembrokeshire, really hated being that far away from the trails so moved to Carmarthen to get closer to them.
    Apart from a trail around the Preseli’s, a wet forest near Oakwood and a path around the Llys-y-fran resovoir your better off with a road bike.

    Tried them last night on a majority of boost and high, 2 1/2 hours around the technical bits of brechfa, couldnt fault them, made me ride at full whack through the Technical bit’s berms and jumps. Quicker than with ay-ups but at nearly £200 they should be but the amount of light was great.
