The carbon trigger 2’s (medium) stubbornly remain in stock- someone buy them so I can stop torturing myself about one!

Bah, price for the Carbon trigger 2 has gone up to 2k.. Still good value for money I suppose..

So what is a good lefty wheelset upgrade for the trigger2 carbon? The Mavics look alreet, but I do like a slightly wider rim. Saw a german site doing custom build DT Swiss sets with 240s front & back, about £450 with EX471 rims & competition spokes..

Haven’t seen any dropouts listed on any webshops, had a poke around the madison B2B site & couldn’t see them, but my LBS phoned up madison & ordered them, so they are avaiable, any LBS with a madison account should be able to get them for you. From memory it was something like £20 a side.

The cheapest delivery on wiggle is still speedy in my experience, ordered some stuff from the sale on Thursday morning, got a text from RM saying it would be delivered on Saturday.

I think the axle lengths on mtb vs road HTII chain sets are different aren’t they?

American Classic wide lightnings- they are around 1600g a set for 650b. My lbs quoted me £450 for a set.

Having spent the best part of 7 years watching Dutch people do double crane lifts of loads up to 12000 tons – they are good at, from the video it does look like the load hit one of the cranes..

In the spirit of recommend what you have.. How about some American Classic 101s? 21mm internal, same weight as a Stans crest but a bit stiffer.

By the sounds of the triple setup he has, its not a 104 BDC crankset, but one of the compact? triple setups they did with 29ers, which is 96BCD

Try & use some beefy cable ties or a small cargo strap to hold the Legs of the forks together, wind the maxle out as far as possible, then some good whacks with a lump hammer on the end of the maxle. If you have never greased the axle then chances are the bearings have developed some surface rust onto it which is binding it in place. Same thing happened to me the first time I got a fork with a thruaxle..

Means you can make a 30t narrow wide ring without having to machine threads into the ring..

Are the Pike DJs not setup for slopstyle / dirt jumping, so lots of compression damping & not the best for general trail riding?

I would give it more than 4 or 5 rides. I’ve been getting used to them for the past 5 years..

Eh… That bit in Lone survior with the firefight at the end was made up. The villagers did hide him and Taliban did try & take him from the villagers, but the village elder told them to get tae.

2 Sets of centre lock wheels that I have bought (DT Swiss & Shimano) came with the lock rings- the front was a 20mm hub so needs a different lock ring to the ones supplied with the shimano rotors, it fits with a HTII BB tool rather than a cassette locking tool.

Was there not a thread on here a few years back where a Spanish chap did this on a devinchi frame, it snapped & freeborn / devinchi refused warranty?

Double shifters still have 3 clicks. The second click is a trim position when using the smaller cogs on the cassette in the smaller ring at the front.

Standard GPSes will only give you an update once a second. That’s a navigation update, regardless of the logging frequency

They made a 2×10 doubles using the 104bcd as well. The chainline was slightly different according to the website

On that site, the vivid green cranks are 104bcd, all the rest are 120bcd.

What travel are you planning on running the forks at on the kili flyer? I’m thinking of getting one myself and they all come with 120mm forks, would be interesting to hear someone’s experience of them with 140m or so forks

I think most newish 650b forks have a larger offset than a 26ins fork- what difference It makes I don’t know. Thanks for all the suggestions, decided to go for the revs’ from all tricks..
