Just bought a 14″ Kona Blink frame to build up for my 9 year old, who is 4:9. He has struggled to keep up on 24″ wheels and seatpost is maxed out on his Mongoose Rockadile.

Only wanted to see 3 films last year Hobbit, Batman and Skyfall. Ended up only seeing Skyfall, very poor, no plot, stunts were average, just tosh!

Hunters always getting slagged. I bought mine in 1985 for fishing and 28 years later, not a single leak! The grip on the sole is nearly smooth, so only good for washing the car now. I guess the quality maybe not as good these days, can’t comment.

Scottyjohn, where are you looking to get the Seiko? I’ve been mulling over one for about a year, and you just reminded me about them! Seen them on Amazon.

In regard to climbing books, never been near a mountain , but love reading about climbing them! Just read Fiva about a slightly smaller mountain, superb.

    Hora,

Xbox rumour is strong at no drive, Sony less so as it is an easy way to push Bluray.

Xbox720 & PS4 later this year, no physical drives on them. That will be the end of Game as well.

Have a Solo cotton one, wore it last night -2 and just keeps the wind chill of without sweating like a pig. Great in summer as well. My kids still point and laugh though!

Done it 3 weeks now, came 32nd (:, don’t seem to be getting any faster. I’ve been too polite thinking I would get in peoples way, this week, I thought sod it and took out about 6 coming off the tarmac. Looking at my gps results, got slower every lap, can still only manage 5, that Adam flies past me twice and does 7! Really enjoying though, need to be able to do my 1st lap speed for all the laps.

Rode MTB for last 12 years, bought a road bike 4 years back, and then built a cheap cross bike up as a little project. Done 2 races recently at Hetton, got absolutely blitzed by old & young. Just great fun, welcoming people, £5 to ride, good singletrack course which varied every week. I’m 43 and never raced owt in my life, just a challenge to see how I get on, reckon I’m hooked already. Try it!

Finished! Thought it was a monsoon at one point, as every lap passed, muddier & muddier. Managed 5 laps in the time, and got lapped by some fast lads. Great fun and covered in mud head to toe. Think I was last :(
Can’t imagine bikes last long if the weather is like that every week! Went with 40 psi and grip seemed pretty good.
Will deffo be doing it again.

Running Kenda SB8’s and it is pretty dry up here. Forecast rain about 4 though. Got 60 in at the mo, might drop to 50 if weather is poor.

I’ve just lost 18 pounds in 6 weeks, gone from 14:10 to 13:6. Followed Mens Health 6 pack challenge, found it quite easy. Porridge every morning with Blueberries, mainly protein and veg. No dairy, fat or sugar. Brown rice & sweet potato the only carb you can have. 3 litres fluid, green tea which is rank!
Go to the website for menus etc….

My favourite post of all time, inspired at last to get out. Quick question, where do you source the webbing/straps/buckles etc.. to lash stuff to the bike?

So many types of the same fork! Is this the one? Guess I can wind it down to 130mm? I’m 13 and a half stone, so guess coil os better for me than air?

Don’t laugh but…..bought a Suzuki Grand Vitara a year back, has been cracking in the snow, ice, rutted tracks near my house. Can lock out the diff, never had to though. Miles cheaper than any equivalent. I’m happy!

Mountain Equipment Astron Hooded, had for a year, great quality. Snowboarded in Morzine with it when my bag went astray and that is what I was wearing when I arrived. Had a baselayer & tshirt, and was pretty warm, other than on the lift.

I’ve managed to source a Sram Rival chainset and Sram Rival rear mech from Ebay for £28.
Just need BB, any suggestions, not crap and not crazy expensive! Trying to find Sram Rival shifters, how much on Ebay, 2nd hand last night went for £95 quid! Anyone selling some?
Then, chain, cables and front mech, I can build. I’ll drop a photo on for comments soon as.
