Mate put my bike in my garage, have not looked yet. He said it looked ok! Its a 2006 Sworks Tarmac, which I have loved, fingers crossed.

He did stop, as did many other motorists. I’m sure he will get prosecuted.

Amzingly rode the motorbike from Hexham to Scarborough on Sunday in the dry, watched racing all day with a ten minute shower and even sun! Got ten minutes from home in Hexham and the heavens opened. By Mays standard weather, absolute result!

Starling has been great for me over the last 3 years. Great app, nothing to dislike.

@p7eaven I was similar, ballooned to 16:2, and now down to 13:9 since October. I focussed on just getting out the door pretty much most days, usually 3 mile walk/run. Got to 6, then 10, then 15 and did 20 on Monday. Just checked Strava and average 4 times a week and 548 mile this year! Slow and steady is the key, listen to your body.

Lunch packaging on the car passenger seat, stop for fuel and chuck it in the garage bin. 100 miles down the road, where’s my sunglasses gone. Bye bye £100 Oakleys, idiot!

Help needed to avoid anymore spending :) Encouraging my 17 year old son to do more running. I bought him New Balance Fuel Cell Echo which seemed fairy cushioned & neutral but he is getting foot pain in his sole? Never had myself, so no knowledge. Mainly quick 3 miles to 6 miles, he has no real interest to go further. Not many cheap runners these days, so don’t want to spend £80 and have the same problem.

Just got the Saucony Ride13 for £85 as 14 is imminent but virtually the same. Done a 9 mile Friday & 10 mile Monday, so far very comfy for a steady runner like me, nothing to dislike in my first ever pair of Saucony.

I’ve had the Loft of Cambie Wolyt for 5 years, nice and slim and has worn well and a lovely patina. I only have 2 debit cards on either side & driving license in the middle, easily hold a few more if needed, shoved any reward cards on my phone using Google Pay. Has a slot for a few folded notes as well, although never used this for last couple of years as never use cash,

Our lass has had 3 convertibles on the trot, with number 4 coming end of March. She loves them and must admit I really enjoy driving them even at 6ft 2 plenty of room. The original Cooper S used to eat front tyres, hope the new version doesn’t. As above can be a bit rattly on rough roads, but zero issues with any mini owned.

I’m 51, finally knuckled down this year, did 100 miles in Jan and got up to a 38 mile week in Feb. Not fast mind you, anywhere from 10+ minute miles, low 8’s at best. Pretty much run every day and so far avoided injury(touch wood). Actually love it and aiming for a local 50k Ultra in June, which I’m sure will involve walking!

@lunge I just bought this afternoon the Saucony Ride13 for £85, seems to get decent reviews and lots prefer over the Pegs. Just got from runningshoes.co.uk in Harrogate and used code FIRSTORDER15 for extra 15% of already discounted prices.

MPOW M30, had for the last 3 months and really cannot fault especially for £26! I was going to buy the Jaybird Vista, but thought may as well try the cheap choice first, glad I did.

MPOW M30 for £26 Amazon. Use them running, walking the dog and sometimes on the bike. Pretty amazed for the money, comfy, good solid sound for music and podcasts. Been in the rain & sweat and stay snug in the ear.

Have not used cash for most of this year, so much easier. See zero need for it for myself, also stops all the family raiding my wallet!

Mine is up shortly also, currently on a fixed at 1.19% with Sainsburys(no longer do mortgages). Sadly nothing as low as that currently. Looks like my mortgage will go up for the first time ever in 18 years of doing a 2 year fixed.

Live in Hexham, Northumberland.  Love my house, reasonable school for the kids, decent rail link to Newcastle( other than constant strike!).  Can get to the lakes in an hour and a half, across the lovely road to Penrith.  Up the A68 for Edinburgh again in couple of hours.  Empty roads for the road bike, motorbike, and decent offroad as well.  Not much in the way of pubs/eating out is the only downside.

Forgot to add, I have 10 years left, am I best sticking and overpaying when possible. Or reduce the term, ie 9 or 8 years to increase the monthly payment and force my hand to pay off quicker?
