My wife’s aigles have just died after 20plus years of horses and country living, my previous pair lasted about 6 yrs but my last pair of parcours lasted 6months until the heel fell off, so now I am going with one of the 10 or so companies that make neoprene lined walking boots for about £70. Next ones are rylands.

I have watched it, didn’t mind the new presenter but osi and Jason seemed to have dialed up their personalities again, which seems to have been a production decision. I listen to their podcast as well and they seem quite different on tv now.
I preferred it when there was two programmes but I normally watch though the games highlights I want to watch on YouTube. So really I only want to hear their take on the weeks story lines and to highlight games I might want to check, so ultimately I think it is worth watching.

I have just got a second whyte 603 in xs for £300. my daughters are now fighting over it. They are both just under 150cm but the taller 10yr old looks fine on it. The forks does seem a little notchy but haven’t tried to service it yet.

It is in really good condition, classic bought for the wife but never ridden in anger bike.

Also, wahoo has just bought another platform called RGT which you get for free. This is much more like zwift, or at least when it first started. I have done one ride but it clearly needs a lot more work but they must have some sort of plans for that as well

I have done all the yoga ones, as you get a badge and I am a sucker for a badge.
They are quite good, it is the same person who used to post workouts to Pinkbike (Abby I think).
They are good as they are only 15-20mins so easy to fit in and there if you don’t really know what to do.
This reminds me that I should be doing them more.
I haven’t done the strength ones but Two of my mates have, it is all bodyweight workouts I think.

I once rang a ring bell and had a conversation with the owner who told me she was by a pool in Greece, and when she would be home.

Struck me as a very silly thing to do, as I knew for sure there wouldn’t be anyone home for a week.

I just checked and you can presently pause your membership for 8 weeks at a time, but there is no restriction on how many times you can do that, you just have to remember to log in and do it.

I have both. But really should stop paying for zwift. I find system much better training and gets me much fitter than bumbling around on zwift, and I only occasionally used zwift when I wanted to do an easy ride. However since sufferfest changed to SYSTM there is much more of those sort of rides, basically watching a film (like brendogs A dog life) while the turbo runs an easy ride.

If it helps, you can pause your zwift payments for 3 months at a time while you try something else with out losing your zwift progress.

Those South American showers often had a rubber mat on the floor as well, which I told myself was saving my life. The only control of the heat you had was the amount you turned on the tap. The choice was a decent shower with cold water or a warm dribble with chance of instant death.

I think Lachlan is one of the most inspiring pro cyclists and love the fact that his team have worked out he is much more useful to them for marketing then just using him as a domestique.
The ‘thereabouts’ films he did with his brother before he joined Ef are worth watching and show them doing 3 epic rides for the hell of it, in Australia, Colorado and Colombia. The first two you can ride along watching on sufferfest for the 3rd is on YouTube.

If you are looking for new f@ck cancer socks, neoprocycling seem to be filling the morvelo void. Also f@ck covid ones, I haven’t tried them so I have no idea what they are like.

The same podcast as mentioned above has done a recent Olympic special where he predicted massive reductions in lots of records as there has effectively been no worldwide testing for 18 months.
So it is probably not the first positive test to come back.

Difficult to always have a live bird in your back pocket. Although I have considered it.
What you don’t want to be is the person who takes away the fun, you want to be a better source of fun than the bird who just flew away anyway.

I also have a 2.5 year old gsp, and know all about their deafness as soon as she smells a pheasant.
It is difficult trying to find anything which is more appealing to them as the hunt but I have a ball on a rope, a hunting dummy, a ball and treats on me, so she doesn’t know what she get if she comes to me.
The problem is nothing is as good as a live pheasant, I have even tried training with a dead bird but she is not interested in them at all, didn’t even want to pick it up.

She has always been called by a whistle However,I am presently working on an stop and look at me whistle now.
Which is starting to work but has to be constant. It is always worth seeing the danger before they do, and never letting them occupy themselves for too long, before giving them something todo for you.

I signed up for the race pass last year and will let it run over. Not that bothered about the adventure style stuff at the moment (although I expect I will watch some of them) but £20 for all the racing seems a pretty good deal. I had racing on when working from home when the season was on and it was great

I agree the bbc dropping to one show has lost something for them.
And at the risk of getting all gossipy I didn’t really understand what happened between mark and osi. After 5 years of making out they were all good mates, mark leaves (understandably, his wife did die this year) and the other two don’t mention him once on the show or their podcast.
It is noticeable that they are both doing more pieces to camera now, so maybe there was a conflict based on that.

There is some threads on Twitter where people have highlighted individuals and tracked down exactly what they are wearing (often very expensive military quality items), what they are carrying, who is selling it, where they work and ultimately who they are then publishing everything and sending it on to the fbi.
Mr guy in the furry hat and no shirt was the poster boy but there were other much more scary individuals there. The news also didn’t report on the gallows they build outside, when there were searching for pence and pelosi. Wouldn’t like to say what might of happened if they found anyone.

I in the other hand, sold my comp bells and bought iron ones. I found comp ones too big to do double swings. Couldn’t get my legs far enough apart.
    I now have a 6kg, two 16kg, a 20kg and two 24kgs.
What I have found though is buying the same bells from the same manufacturers does not mean you get the same quality. I tried to buy a matching 16 to one I already had and the handle is significantly worse. Almost like they branded anything they could get during lockdown.

The guy at fit 4 racing did a video review recently of 3 he had been sent for testing. I think he recommended one at about £80 but I agree, how you can justify a theragun thing at £400 I am not sure.

I have a pointer who is nearly two and the training advice I found is.
1.you need to be consistent, if you say for them to do something they have to do it, so as dashed said pick you battles but be prepared to follow though on a command if they don’t do it. Kids are the worse problem for this, my biggest training issue was trying to stop the kids chatting to the dog and then get upset when she ignores their commands.
We use treats and a ball, but use their drive for what you want. Running in when called and getting a treat from the hand gets boring, so sometimes the treat is hidden, sometimes it’s a ball, sometimes it’s just praise.
When walking, don’t let them know what you are going to do. If you walk into a field around the outside, back to the gate, and out again they don’t need to watch you, if you vary where you go, she was keep a better eye on me, as she doesn’t like being left.
Also looking at the cute picture of the puppy, our have never had toys available at all times, you need to be the fun, so a toy comes with you to play with, not on tap. She does occasionally have a antler to chew on, and we used a stuffed frozen cong to distract her when she was really manic.

We were talking about this the other day, I am sure that all helmets used to market themselves with having mesh, but no one seems to have it anymore. And yes I had just got a bee in my helmet.

I am in the chew valley south of Bristol and I saw two roadies at the weekend who were changing tubes after going over some tacks in the road.
Surely a mistake, no one would want to injure cyclists deliberately at a time like this.

I ve had two, first tooth by my nhs dentist said he would have a crack, for the flat £49 quid fee which didn’t really work. And had to have it done again which was private and about £1000 I think . All was fine apart from the 2hour appointment but then not as bad as a normal filling once you get over the constantly open mouth and the rubber mouth gown thing to stop you tasting the chemicals.

I am told by a dentist friend the rc specialist will use disposal tools which cost £200 plus a set. The nhs are definitely not using them

i bought the wife one a couple of years ago, she likes it and used it alot. however since then I get constant emails from them telling me about their new limited addition colours and designs and trying to get me to buy more.
if the product is good and last a long time and is more environmentally friendly than plastic bottles and that is the main reason people are buying them, i can;t see why i would need a new one just because it has a giraffe on the side.

I always wonder about actors who are required to bulk up for some action roles and then slim down again for something else. I am sure having a PT turning up every day telling you exactly what to eat when, and what training to do helps but the surely most will be injecting to make the process easier and quicker.

althought my wife will be gutted if she knew Hugh Jackman was on the juice to play Wolverine.
he just seems such a lovely man!

the adverts clearly worked to a degree as I finally sucummbed to looking up how much the Peleton bike was.
basic bike is over £2000 plus £40 a month subscription.
seems a good deal for a spinning bike with a build in Ipad!
