Hmm, after some more research it looks like speedplays can be a little high maintenance which doesn’t suit my ride then chuck it in the shed method of roadbike care..

so look keo or shitmano….that’ll be down to price I reckon…..

ha yes we caught a shuttle back to the airport with a guy who had a massive off on the luge, he had no skin on one side of his leg..looked very nasty indeed!

Panoramic should be fun for them at Chatel, I’ve not done the other greens there.

Still using it on mine. Still amazed at how clean everything stays. I’ve done long wet muddy day rides and haven’t felt the need to re apply.
Quick rinse with hose no brushing needed and reapply ready for next time…

+1 for jay williams, you’ll get a lot out of a day with him by all accounts as a few mates have used him.
also for plymouth based, maddie and jay horton of fully sussed do a skills day which may suit depending on what sort of skills you want to brush up on..
if its wheels in the air then jay all day! if its basics and xc type skills then try maddie.

I went from a 2012 five to a np mega tr 275 late last year.
its better in every way! suspension works better, it climbs/peddles better and for me it gives much more confidence in the air, over rough stuff and at speed…
I would definitely recommend one over the 5.

FWIW I swapped all my components over from the 5 so its pretty much a direct frame comparison.
150mm vengeance forks if that helps

    Tr275 is a phenomenal bike… I’m also 5’10” like wrightyson but have a medium and wouldn’t want the large…
It’s head and shoulders above the 2012 orange 5 it replaced in every way..

I’ve recently got back into it after a 20-25yr lay off ..have to say im loving it so far, a lot of parks nearby with great concerete parks, so getting in amongst it has been great exercise and my kids love going on their bmx’s so its a family day out..win win!, although I’ve never hurt so much ! currently nursing 2 sore knees and a suspected chipped bone in my elbow from 2 weeks ago unsuccessfully dropping in on a halfpipe….I’m going to buy elbow pads!!

My mates AM peddles well.. The tr is better.. The am at Gawton dh tracks felt comfortable the tr not so much… But for all round trail bike it’s the tr for me..

Also replaced a five for the tr275 and what a bike! Much more confidence inspiring for me. Is happy on long xc rides and climbs well… And is good on trails be they steep and techy or on jumps… Is my perfect bike and although less travel than the five it’s way better.
    I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
