    too much too soon IMO.
start small and build gradually and it’ll decrease your chances of injury

you may feel like you can run this far so many times a week but your muscles and ligaments/tendons all will need time to get used to the idea and heal themselves between you lurching around on rock hard concrete!!

i stress this isn’t about bustafajones. Just a general observation that myself and Monsieur Wilson have made since the new forum was set up.

Epo you don’t use them (classifieds) that much though, and your overall posting is that of a normal user i.e. spread over all 3 forums rather than just classifieds with the odd comment on chat or bike forum.

pk yes i know what you are saying and i think that is fairly savvy if you can be arsed to do it, all im saying is it is a blurred line where people who are ‘trading’ have to pay to advertise whereas so called ‘private sellers’ who are doing the same thing dont.
i think there is a distinction between someone who has the odd bit they can free up cash and those who do it a lot for financial gain.

I’m not sure TBH, I would think that it becomes trade when it is done for gain and not just to finance new bits or clearout etc.
or say where someone is buying a lot of stuff and putting it straight on EBAY.

hairy, berlimey £50!!!!!!!! 😯 im surprised they have any business! i’d feel a right **** charging someone that much for a simple task, the other guys sounded much more like it…why not pop around and watch how it is done so you can do it next time?
BTW my brakes cam ewith bleed kit spare olives etc didnt yours?

really, do them yourself as Nickc suggests, its a piece of cake and will take all of 10mins for each end..surely you can spare that?
learning to spanner and the achievement from doing a good job is all part of MTBing for me and it helps on trailside bodges!!

if you really can’t be bothered then surely your LBS could do it for you? shouldn’t cost more than £10 an end but TBH it’ll take more time to drive them there than to do it yourself…

i’ve only used cheapo headsets and can only speak from my experience but i have never ever greased serviced any of my headsets and never ever had to replace any (i think the oldest one is about 5yrs old now), all run smooth as silk so maybe its worth trying a cheap one. i certainly wont rush out to blow a load of cash on a king. (they do look nice though)
FYI i ride all year through dartmoor muck wind rain and shine.
