ah cheers i’ll find it, I would love to come out for a ride with you lot but you tend to start a bit late for me, if we do a houndtor loop then we meet/leave the CP by 8am so we are able to get back to the family for around 12.30-1pm, next time i get an all day leave pass then i’d love to come out, do you have a group email you send round or is it just arranged on here?, if you have a group mail then could you add mine to it (in profile) that way if i have advanced notice i can sort out kiddy care etc and come out to play..!

2 rides and my ssc bb went like that, got them to free up eventually but after most wet rides if the bike was left fo rmore than a few days it would seize, then free up after a while, i replaced the bearings in the cups and no problems since.

think yourself lucky, i spend a lot of free time (of which i have precious little) clearing trails in my local forestry block (in an area we are allowed) only to have the local redsocks find them and claim them as their own they then carefully lay logs/debris/general rubbishy windfall over said tracks to annoy/cause injury to.

horses are the very least of our problem!!

    lol @ gnargnar..!

its a dug FFS not a gun toting smack smoking knife wielding maniac

it always makes me laugh when people say just kick it, dogs jaws are almost always gonna be faster than your portly plates of middle aged scaredy meat, and if it does connect then you’ll probably piss it off and make it more aggressive.

try watching the dug whisperer, he’ll give you some handy tips on creating a calm submissive state…lol lol

failing that you could take Hora’s approach and ‘slit its throat’ (only works on staffies though)

IME it rather depends on yr cups, the shitmano ones have a ledge so you cant drift the bearing out properly/easily so need a tool (a la betd tool) the SSC cups just use a 21mm socket and drift them out then pop the new ones back in easy peasy.

    nice bike stoner…

just curious but is your seat a bit far back..?

i’d imagine the front wheel wandering all over theplace on climbs with it in that position..?

i’d be sure to let all in the meeting know it was mine, and make him look a **** for trying to pass it off as his

    carlphillips

mine lasted a few weeks before seizing, the only good thing about them is that you can easily drift out the bearings with a 21mm socket and replace with good ones.

and structurally how does the indent affect the stay?

    carlphillips
    Free Member

ive took a link out of chain, and applied tie wrap protectors, will see how it goes.
chain rings are tight (and new) chain is new cassette is new, so what exactly does that indent do..just lessen the damage done when CS occurs?

    carlphillips
    Free Member

cheers, i may try to do that, firstly I’m going to check my chain length and maybe take a link out see if that helps. then I’ll attack with the G clamp..

    cheers all

plymouth (cann woods) was a shite fest tonight, good slidy fun but uber muddy, so south dartmoor would be a no no im guessing.

    carlphillips

    ok my bad..

i was simply checking to see if i had the correct alignment for my bike so i guessed it may be important to put the frame make in.

similar situation as you jonb replaced all and was trouble free for a few weeks, now its back, and im pissed off..

    carlphillips

mine is a red 456 also

any chance of some photos to see what you’ve done? sounds drastic!! although the way mine is going the chain will put its own indent in soon
