Get a steel frame and spec it up and build it yourself.
    mucho fun

a 456 will enable you to get tons of bling on there, nice ride too.

    expensive, costly, pricey, steel frame.

if it were me i’d look at the PA (i personally didn’t like it but my mate who has a hj said it rode almost identical to it) or a 456 (which are ace)

apparently the seat qr thing is only on the 15.5″ frames, but what a pain in the ass it is.

spesh captains do it all for me, very predictable and my perfect trail tyre, also use advantages/high rollers and bonty mud x’s, but the spesh are my tyre of choice

yes got back from its maiden ride this afternoon, well i can definitely (and unfortunately) say i much prefer the 456,
when i ride the 456 it makes me wanna boost off stuff and chuck it around, im sorry to say the PA did not, im not sure why it just doesn’t suit me, and after one ride i will be putting it up on the classifieds here.
all my friends loved the ride but i did not, the TT felt too high and when climbing the front end was very light and hard work on steep bits where i manage ok on the 456.
i can’t put my finger on it, maybe i should’ve gone for the small PA, but hey ho never mind eh..!
so if anyone wants a med PA in orange its up for grabs, also have revs for sale also now!!!

but he took it down…screw him if he can’t afford it and balls to karma points, he took it down so tell him to fix it again.
lazy ass imo and the fence wont cost that much so he can’t afford £30 to fix it, and as for the baby excuse they’re not that expensive FFS.

    he’s taking the pi$$ i reckon

i got the PA just cos it was cheap and i fancied a change (and im always swapping frames etc) the 456 stays in the garage though and will get built up with spares as i do love it lots.
im 5’10” and got the med, im hoping its ok for wheels off the ground stuff. putting headset on in a bit so will build it up tonight and give it the round the block test.

your local bearing supplier should have them just take the numbers off the seals for them, or take them out and show them so they can get like for like. should be cheaper too.

ive never snapped one and im no lightweight..
and i rejoin them (whilst cleaning etc) with sram powerlinks no bother.

maybe look at why they are snapping..?

is it ok to run a ss ring up front then or is it just a ring with no shifting ramps (where to buy then?)

i know what it was…its the dreaded mistake of saying ‘just one more go’ we never ever say that any more its always ‘just 7 more runs’ it keeps the stacking devil at bay..!!!

old skool rules here im afraid, nothing like the anticipation of what it’ll be, plus they don’t always get it right, two of our friends have had the opposite to what they were told,

why face something that is held in alignment by threads..? makes no sense to me, then add to that the fact that the cups are then tightened against nylon shims that’ll change shape when pressure is put on them..so a bit facing isn’t gonna make a bit of difference IMO.

making sure the threads are clear is important though.

i hope they do as im going to have them on mine..will run them at 140mm as i do all my bikes…!

5’10” and ride a 16″ 456 this fits and rides very very nice, ive just taken delivery of a med 17″ PA so should be interesting to see how the extra 1/2″ on the TT will affect the ride.

had that with mine too..yes its hammertime, then if greasing doesn’t fix it (like it didn’t for me) try replacing your bearings..(that did work for me)

i just got my troutlite through this morning, still waiting on the battery from smudge (tis ok i only ordered it 2 days ago!) but 1st impressions are that it is a very well made/designed light and very compact, much smaller than i thought it wa going to be from the photos.
    well pleased.
i also have some ayups bought from when they started over in oz, and they have been faultless, so i’d recommend them also.

ha, sticky lube..apparently my finishline green is sticky as hell and causes my chainsuck (personally i think thats horseshit) i really dont know what causes mine as my drivechain is all new but as i mentioned if you have had it then recheck your chain for twisted links as it’ll cause it for sure.
