the event was easily the best ive taken part in, and even better then last years 24/12 at newnham i thought.

the course was very good indeed and as matey said up there ^^ i finished my laps forgetting the pain and grinning from ear to ear on the final singletrack,

rich you beat me on the mule bar challenge i was around 45ish..!

good vibe also, whereas the cheddar challenge i thought there were far too many people taking it too seriously and not a lot of smiles about, on the trail both overtaking and being overtaken =was a friendly exchange of ‘P’s & Q’s’ not being barked at from 20m away by some turd without manners, this all contributed to the friendly vibe IMO and made the best event so far.

bring on margam park next weekend….

i would expect a lot more than that too..maybe invest in a chain checker and test it yourself..just to be certain it is shot

my old thread ages ago named and shamed some regular ebay sellers from here, it gets my goat when i see people let something cheap go to a fellow stw’er only for it to be on ebay within the next day or two.

plumz richard, thats horseshite mate, mine is one of the ones julian wilson is talking about and the shocks are shite, even the guy at the spesh shop admits there is a problem as he has sent back a fair few.
my last replacement lasted approx half a ride on the quantocks where it blew, my mrs now uses the bike for pootling around on as i can’t trust the thing as far as i can throw it.
i am using it for this weekends 12hr charge enduro though so here’s hoping it doesnt go then!!!
also two of my riding buddies with the same shock have as julian says gone thro at least 3-4 each.

in short avoid, im gutted having paid so much for something that is really unreliable which is a shame as when its working its helluva bike.

here is my old one after an army anti radar paint powdercoat by my local PC bloke £20.!!, i thrashed it around plenty and it always delivered, sold to fund my 456 but it was a real nice bike for a bit of everything.

its fairly easy, when i worked there for a month a while back i went on my fully rigid commuter with one (crap) brake, panniers and slicks in the wet…its was ace.

i’ve given vee brake bosses and a whole bike away on here!!, bought and sold tons of stuff and never had any problems.

only problems i have with the classifieds is certain members buying and selling on for profit on evilbay.

not in the spirit of this forum i think, myself and a few mates regularly keep an eye on two people here just for fun and the stuff they buy always goes on evilbay, myself, i like to see stuff go cheaply to fellow stw’ers as this greases the wheels and makes this little ‘community’ what it is.
