always used SSC in mine, consistently good performance and last just as well as the shimano originals in them.

I was riding cruiser bmx a week or so ago and pushing a really stupid high gear

if said pain wasn't there before that activity then i think i know what your problem could be..!!

echo those above, a really good 'fun' event my kids thought it was ace, we made use of the free climbing and tree rope access course and the pedalo's (sp?) a really good atmosphere and also good to put a few faces to names and of course get to be in juan's 'gay just the two of us' photo album.

a few photos of my family enjoying the weekend

    well done all those involved..!!

mail me or julian wilson off of here and we'd be happy to show you around cann woods and adjacent trails, night laps are nice as you can get a bit more 'creative' with access to some lovely trails. failing that (if you want some quality time with just the mrs) there are some nice loops out of plympton (where crispy says by B&Q) that are about 20miles and are fairly nice. if you mail me i could fire you over some tracklogs files or see what i have on my pc already as gifs etc

i would agree with s/m that cann is probably your best bet for singletrack and it also leads onto the moor after it so its always a good starting place. not much that i know about in saltash or over the river in cornwall in general really.

    i disagree with you foxy

my time is waaaay more better (should read 'used to be' im now private and love treating verruca's :D) spent helping people with serious conditions and preventing them from amputations/infections and life threatening complications of their conditions, it is not just about a money saving exercise rather than proper use of our skills, how many people would potentially suffer amputations or much worse if our books were clogged up with every poor tom dick and harry wanting their verruca's frozen?

<insert welsh rapper tune of guns dont kill people rappers do>

bananas dont cure vp's immune systems do

oh and mooman it doesn't always work but cutting them out almost always hurts!!!

as said its a viral infection (hpv virus)
we are told nowadays that treatment should only be offered if the lesion is painful or spreading otherwise leave it be for your own immune system to take care of.

most treatments centre around tissue destruction.

cryotherapy (freezing) is the first line treatment modality offered or salicylic acid (try to find something strongish 'verrugon' is my favourite at 50%. READ the label and dont use if contraindicated or you may end up with holes in your feet) bazooka etc are around 26% acid so gentler, another good one is occlusal.

the gaffa tape thing you should gently file the lesion apply the tape then leave for 6 days remove file and repeat etc etc it is thought that the adhesive in the tape stimulates an immune response.

above all they are very contagious so if you live with others then cover it up!!!!

there are no quick fixes for some people, i used to work in an nhs wart/verrucae clinic and we had people coming back for treatment once a week for 6years!!!!! (extreme cases though admittedly)

hugo… the local nhs PODIATRIST (as we are now called) wont treat a verrucae under the nhs unless it is very bad, unfortunately for the general public our services are now generally reserved for high/at risk patients nowadays.

banana skins lol if i had a pound for every time i have heard that

frequent recurring boils can be a sign of 'PVL' ,have you been swabbed for this? worth a try, its very prevalent and here in plymski we even have our own strain!!!

it very commonly presents with boils in otherwise healthy young/middle-aged people particularly gym goers.

or you can go see matey (can't remember his name) on the classifieds and get 4 shitmano bb's all sealed and new for £50, you can't beat that vfm even if they only last 6months!!!

generally though before he was selling i buy the enduro bearings and have a tool for extracting them, then its only £20 a BB, and mine have lasted ages so far.

i cut small pieces of clear tube from an old bleed kit, then put them strategically next to each guide then forced them through the guides all at once by pulling the hose to where it should be.

looks ace (can't see it) and holds solidly.

24hr team of 5 'trail snail racing' here.

megaphone abuse man was hilarious, we were camped just up from him.
my favourite from him was the 'ron jeremy' lookalike abuse (he really did look like ron jeremy though!!)
and 'pedal if you're gay' aimed at my mate julian wilson of this parish..

all in all i preferred last years course, but it was still good,

atmosphere is always good, and i only had issues with one rude rider who didn't get what he wanted anyway.

ive done both, and a bit of ice climbing too,
i'd go with what montylb says, choose what you want to do then train/gain confidence/ability/experience.

if you like the idea of doing everest then good on you (ive been there whilst a mate was doing a route on ama dablam and its not my bag)even though ive enjoyed a few 4000m peaks in the alps, but start slowly and with people who have a lot of experience to give you,

ive been taken off two routes now by helicopter after someone in another group ice-climbing near us fell around 70ft and royally done himself a mischief and we had to affect a rescue and another time after a large lump of rock peeled off and smacked my climbing buddy sensless (just the two of us and farking sary).
i've given it up now after developing 'the fear' after a few decent falls (pushing myself up the toilet grade smooth walls!!).

a good grounding should be the way to go, dont rush it and take your time to learn off the experienced people. enjoy the mountains they're ace.

its currently very sunny here, but the mother of all rain falls went over earlier. as you said the top bits will possibly dry out but there is no way some of the lower sections will survive, all adds to the fun though!!

mud tires for me. esp after 1500 riders go over the trails and turn them into a quagmire.

yea i have shimano brakes on all my other bikes, they always feel ace, never need bleeding, and only cost £100 for both ends and rotors and bleed kit…

    hmmm

gonna try a new bleed tonight to see what happens,

yeah they are juicy 7's ultimates.. pad contact thingy all the way out.

straight after bleeding they were ok, but rode them for an hour and 10mins into riding they were ****.

bled as per youtube instructions with out drama with proper kit, always rocksolid normally but this time they have a little 'give' to them.

    puzzling me too.

yup thats what im thinking. bled loads before without problem and with the proper kit, it has me puzzled.

i see that a lot in my job, as matey said up there, its the shoe choice not the activity, agreed fell running will shove your toes up the end of the shoe causing trauma especially on the downhill bits.

nice bit of self surgery on the big toe there, i would've left it as blisters or small bleeds under the nail dont often cause problems, however i foresee some problems down the sides of your nail when it tries to grow out…enjoy…
