what inbred says, also worth noting that some labs (unsure of other breeds) can be susceptible to epilepsy, some fits (like the ones my lab suffers from) can be brought on by strenuous sustained exercise.

not the best trail dogs really. mine is restricted to swimming and long walks now, cannot ride/run with him at all.
edit mine is show stock chunky choccy lab

blimey I was just asking as i see some people logging it, as i said in the op i don’t even have a turbo, so was curious to how it worked.

@Andy cheers for the offer but based down in Plymouth so too much bother really..(plus falling asleep before the offer expired meant i missed out on the frame anyway!) if i do purchase one in the future i think based on nbt’s picture it’ll be an 18″.
    cheers though

ha after all that, in my ill pooing/puking state i fell asleep and missed the offer!! gutted!

brant any plans for that offer to return anytime soon?

same here, i like a very short stem so reckon the 18″ will be better for me (after studying that photo) and just slide the saddle forward a touch when the mrs uses it..

    looks nice though!

that’s the 16″? it looks fairly short cockpit (for the want of a better description).

cheers h4muf that has put me straight back to pondering about the 18″ again!

    @ yak from their site

We get asked a lot what size frame people should ride! Here’s some thoughts.

READ THIS SECTION TWICE: You probably need an 18in frame…

    4. 29ers are almost the same size as 26ers.
However, at that lower end, we’d move it up a bit. 16in 29er are a little bigger than the 26in one, so maybe riders under 5’10” should be on a 16in one.

mmm yes, i see what you did there!

    carlphillips

so how do the 29″ scandals come up sizewise?….at that price i could get one for future build for the *mrs* I’m 5’10 she is 5’8 would the 18″ be too big for her? I’ve previously had a 26er 16″ inbred but it had a lot of post showing….

yup, I stuck to local cyclepaths and a tiny bit of well surfaced well drained (rock basically) cheeky near me today, not going to trash my local trails so will stay off them for a wee while yet…

edit @Del, I’ve been getting up Haldon friday evenings lately, anyone of your lot ride up there then? wouldn’t mind riding with somebody when my lot can’t make it…

well that was wet! only did cycle path stuff and a tiny bit of well pathed cheeky (dewerstone area) then home, only 15miles but time was short, had good fun and the rivers were very impressive in their swollen state…enjoyed it..

yes the other side is all there still, the cafe side dh trails have been re done following some felling a wee while ago…currently awful conditions so probably best avoid any cheeky trails/off piste for a while.

@ Scott yes mate I’m kind of in agreement with you there, but it is nice to hand over something all sparkly for a present, and if you have the time/funds/inclination then its all good..

so as a partner of my own (shared)Podiatry business I could get the company to buy my next bike and put it down as a bike used for ‘home visits’.
would I benefit from any savings as my business is VAT exempt (medical services) I guess it would still come off taxable profit?

how would this purchase affect my partner ?

I’ve the same quandary for saturdays ride, will either be local woods or heading for Haldon too I think (non cheeky for a change too!), save the trails a bit, don’t want to ruin them by heading out over t’moors…

if there is a group ride and i can make it then please post up here..

i had a wee rant about hium a while ago its pasted for your pleasure below…avoid.

when you say to me you posted it on the 19th of april dont tell lies and say it was sent back as attempted delivered and repoisted and even when i found out via track and trace (which incidentally you couldnt supply to me last week..mmmm i wonder why?!..not posted per cahnce!) the postoffice havent even recieved it yet as it was only posted yestereffingday dont then call me a liar as i definately never got the “sorry we tried to deliver” note from postie and dont call the postoffice a liar (and i dont think the 60 complaunts per day you mentioned are the postoffice fault!) dont be rude saying “well what do you want from me”…and “well rtomorrow is just another day phone me then” and then pretty much hang up on mme whilst I was asking exactly where it was and when it was goingto turn up and just say sorry we effed up it’ll be with you shortly you effing rude man … and breathe

for the benefit of others this is my experience with this company i shal not be using them again. they are slow and seemingly are unable to correctly and perhaps honestly explain why stuff doesn’t turn up and are rude and you will get asked to phone the warehouse and when you do they will ask you to phone the shop and when you do they will ask you to pjhone the warehouse and when you do they will ask you to phone.

most of the good stuff around lustleigh cleave, and surrounding areas, got bits and bobs around most of dartmoor. cansend them once the pc is returned.

    one day off…

for me (also from Plymuff) it would either be a big east dartmoor loop or a day on the quantocks. ashton wouldn’t feature at all with the drive involved, cwmcarn is pretty icy atm uplifts been cancelled quite a bit lately.
there is a lot of rain forecast for the end of the week so maybe figure in a loop which fairs well under water…Qtox would be fine.

can’t send you any loops of the tox as im on a borrowed pc whilst mine is having a pornectomy at the repair shop.

edit ut can give you the name of someone who has a good route on strava including most of those above incluing bincombe (my favourite!)

firstly well done dcl and co for a hard fought and tiring campaign!!!

@ sponging machine, rich if you look at their fb page they aren’t too happy, “fighting on” & “they’ve not won yet” etc etc 2we will observe their every step along the process to make sure they don’t deviate” etc etc

logs on the track aside (of which I’m sure will happen) I’m awaiting a flurry of fake collisions and near misses by wreckless and dangerous mtb’ers in order to get it closed.

I quote from their page, “when the 1st biker dies from impaling themselves on a tree or drowning in the river, then they will close it”

FFS thats what they truely believe!!!

but again well done every one, and jules/millie your kids must’ve been happy to be in the rag!!
