sounds promising! used a cardboard box last time, but they got battered very quickly, could’ve done with a bit more protection from the airport staff, as a few of us ended up with several delicate (bike) pointy bits sticking out of the box.

not til next year! just spotted it and thought they looked cheap enough to get and stash away for trips etc,
thanks for the offer of a loan but wouldn’t mind getting one anyway, planning on more trips away from next year on..
i take it you not been riding much then or just on your fixie?

    get fit.

@spin, I’ve walked the haute route, the passes and glacier crossings will be tough but the descents will be long and epic.

had an early morning road ride in very nice conditions.

its not too bad, 3 laps or so are needed to get a half decent length ride, ime the extra climb for the additional descent (can’t remember the name) is not worth the effort, the rest of the trail flows pretty well though.

mmm looks like i’ll be sourcing some fairly large posts then…looking around most sites recommend 8″ diameter posts you reckon they arent strong enough?

i told mine to “stand up and pedal, it doesn’t hurt your bum so much”…that did the trick.

Hi Neil, not out at lustleigh yet then..?

we had the same model (edit but double trailer) for ours, (£69iirc) it survived both our two, and we’ve since lent it to 2 friends with kids, still going strong!
when they were really young we propped ours up with pillows etc to make them more comfy/safe, as it can get pretty bumpy and corners must be harsh for their little necks!

mine used to fall straight to sleep pretty much all of the time so it can’t have been that bad.

@matzzz wouldn’t stretching it make the spring stiffer due to coils being altered.

@sp the tyres aren’t rock hard, but they ride rocks/roots so can’t run them that soft.

@tj (lol remember him) only one spring fitted…thats the 1st thing i went to do and was surprised that one side was empty..
