    Noah saved civiisation

LOL , thats almost as believable as that story about a supreme being creating everything in 7 days , mind you plenty of supposedly intelligent people believe that

Sorry to hear of your cat passing , we're cat people and due to losing 2 on a busy road won't have them anymore.

The vet IMO was a bit insensitive in his offering you a discount/cremation , however at 13 many cats are approaching the end of their life and the aneasthetic was probably more than he could handle.

I think the I-drive's ride is down to taste , they have a bit of a dead feel to them but you can keep the power down whatever the terrain.
I used to run the bike with 5" Rockshox psylo forks that were 3.5 lb but putting the rc66's on transformed the way the bike rode/handled despite being twice the weight.

The bike is much more capable than me , I've chucked it off 4/5 foot drops with no problems and I weigh 15st (give or take a pie) I've had to replace the pivot bearings (£30 betd) and the lower shock bushing 3 times.

The main obstacle to riding my Ruckus over distance is weight anything over about 15 miles gets a bit wearing,it weighs nearly 38lb but everything on it is strong rather than light and as I mainly use the bike for freeride/downhill stuff this isn't a problem , I have a hardtail for xc duties.

3 years ago I cut down from 6 bikes to 3 , the road bike never got used , the tourer got used once or twice a year and I only need one hardtail.

That left me with an XC bike that will double as a tourer with different tyres , an AM/DH bike cos I luv the gravity stuff and a bmx for embarassing myself in front of the cool kids!

    I don't miss the bikes I sold.

using longer stems/layback seatpost will make a smaller frame feel a bit bigger , a larger frame will always feel large! Go medium.

last spokes I bought were £28 for a box of 100 sapim race db , from outspoken cycles but that was about 18 months ago. Looks like they only stock ACI spoke now http://www.outspokencycles.co.uk/wheelbuilding-accessories.html

Not sure ,I think the X-lite ones are all alloy whereas the USE ones are thermoplastic except for the really thin ones (i.e. 26.8 upt 27.2)

i use a plastic USE one in my P7 as I spent 3 half days carefully hacksawing the old alloy post out after it bonded to the inside of the seatube.

Got a mate who was rudely awoken at 2am one morning to an angry father , something along the lines of ' You sick f'in bast' ,you've been with my little girl ,she's only 15! '

Trouble was he'd been seeing her for nearly 3 months and had met her in a 21+ nightclub! , How the hell was he supposed to know? eventually the father calmed down and listened to my mates explanation .

My mate broke of the relationship , poor girl she was spoiled for life he was donkeylike in stature!!

Never done it with a car always with bikes but have always done the overnight from Portsmouth.

Brittany is a fantastic place , in general the people are friendly and they make delicious cider thats more biased toward flavour than strength , always found the beaches there clean too.A lot of the Bretons in smaller villages actually prefer you to speak English as they aren't keen on the French , they're the French Celts.

Make time to visit a war memorial too , we should never forget the sacrifice our forebears have made!!

Mrs carlos has had no real contact with her mother since 1990 , she had by my reckoning an extremely hard upbringing , cash was in very short supply and both her mum and dad argued a lot and took their tempers out on the kids although her brothers treatment from mum was much kinder

the preferred method of punishment were a 4' cane by her mum and a leather belt(sometimes buckle end)from dad! Her dad treated them both the same and has apologised (in tears while he did it) to the pair of them , her mum refuses to accept anything she did was wrong.

As a 16 year old doing YTS work mrs carlos bought things from her mums catalogue and would pay weekly for them , her mum would tell her dad she hadn't paid then he would make her pay again ,in the end she paid the money straight to her dad so her mum wasn't ripping her off.

these things are literally just the tip of a huge iceberg and a lot of whats gone on i wouldn't put on an internet forum .

When we started house hunting her mum offered to take us round to look at properties then tried to gazump us on the house we bought! that was the final straw and all ties were severed despite her buying a house that was less than 1 minutes walk away. She turned up after 10 years of no contact and asked why we excluded her and was told why then wouldn't admit her faults so was told to walk.

Mrs carlos believes life is better without her and that her mother's the one missing out on our 5 year old son.

thank you :D I like it and don't really find it heavy as my big susser weighs in at 39lb and gets used on below 15 mile rides so after that the Orange feels very light. + I weigh 15st so hardly light myself.

28.5lb , it's a 19" old P7 one of the first with disc mounts(had v posts removed when resprayed)most of the kit on it is middle of the road apart from the wheels that are heavy but strong to compensate for my clumsiness.

How come the French can get motorway driving right,

my experience of driving in France is that a car will approach from the rear and sit on your bumper for 5 miles until a vehicle can be seen approaching from the oppsite direction —– only then will the overtaking manoeuvre take place

I'd say if you plan doing less than 15K a year and aren't bothered about a torquey engine for the hills go for the petrol with only 10% (ish) of the mileage the diesel has.

Most of Cadburys chocolate tastes terrible anyway , Bournville is only just palatable. But it is crap for them to suggest before the sale is agreed that the jobs will be safe only to u-turn a couple of weeks later.

the outside every 6-7 weeks or so and the inside every other external wash.

Spend a good couple of hours on it when I do inside and out making sure all the leathers clean and the wood's polished.

can you get to the inside of the bladder? I repaired a Hydrapac bladder with a puncture repair kit and it was fine for 6 months till I got round to replacing it.

Due to cash flow probs A few years ago I had to use Mrs carlos car for 12 months when mine died , it's a Fiat Siecento

With the rear seats down I could fit 2 GT I-drives (with wheels off) and camping gear/clothes for a week away , so anything bigger is a possibility! But anything smaller would probably be a no no.

Whats wrong with the schraeder valve? is it the external threads or is it just leaking air from the core?

If it's just the core leaking air then buy yourself a valve core remover £3.99 from halfrauds (or elsewhere) and take the core from a schraeder valved innertube !

It's been fine in my Fox float ava shock for the last 6 months , no air leakage at all.
