on the original mini there were 2 fitting options for the hose/caliper conection a straight in and right angle(banjo type) dead easy to replace either.

whats the problem here? , she wears the jimjams warms up then (if the mood takes you both) they're easy to remove . no problem.

I never wear pj's and haven't since I was about 12 but mrs carlos feels the cold and nearly always does. It hasn't got in the way for the last 20 years!

Get her to record a video message to him! , the hospital whilst seeming to be a bit anal are only erring on the side of caution.

Your father in law has had a stroke but other people on the same ward may be suffering from any number of other diseases/problems that could be made worse by a child bringing something as simple as a cold in (all those with children know what breeding grounds for germs schools are)

do a video for him although it won't be her in the flesh I'm sure it would perk him up.

just about the cheapest place for Oakley , not a lot of colour choice or fancy iridium coatings though (if you're a bit of a tart)

    Oakley 5's from £37.00

The mcmoab exit is a similar incline but about twice the drop as Gisburn slab but feels worse as it exits onto a more level surface.

First time you approach the slab at Gisburn it does seem steep but once you go over the edge you realise it's a piece of piss , didn't drop the saddle on my hardtail for it the other week and I'm definatly no riding god although some rider on a 6" specialized commented he 'thought I was brave doing that on a hardtail' , cha yeah right!

Jedi, Gisburn is a fun trail , there's a couple of tricky bits but on the whole it's an easy ride . New stuff is still being built there so who knows what it will become?

I've had a Thomson stem on at least 1 of my bikes for years , they certainly aren't bombproof though ,I cracked the faceplate on my elite stem and it wasn't through uneven/over tightening either. Luckily you can buy replacements.

A Wetwang area route in the Yorkshire wolds we did a couple of years ago , felt totally uninspired around the whole ride to the point where we cut it short at 15 miles instead of 25.

The weather was a bit rainy and the going was tough but riding around fields is never interesting and I doubt it would've been any better in the dry.

Never mind the 'stay at the head end' crap! You need to see your child being born , it's the most amazing thing you will ever see.

Of course you'll wonder if you'll ever touch the sides again but there's exercises for that.

I'd definately ask the missus what she thinks and be led by her thinking.

Mrs carlos went into labour 5 weeks early , her waters broke just as I walked through the door from work at lunchtime (actually the baby had kicked his hindwaters through) our son was born at 6.30pm the next day but she didn't go into labour when the waters went ,contractions didn't start until 14 hours before he was born.

Most of all enjoy being a dad , and be there for your wife!

'All along the watchtower' by Bob Dylan , obviously Jimi's version is more well known.

I've had a 995 for the last 4 months and love it to bits , it's got the sat nav/sports tracker/walkman features , free web browsing , camera's ok but thought it might be better , boatloads of memory and it comes with a plug in speaker that doesn't sound too bad for something basic.

When I upgraded from my N95 I thought I was dropping down a peg but actually it's a better phone all round (IMO)

If your serious then get yourself to a proper running shop and take a pair of well worn shoes with you so they can tell if you pronate or supinate(favour the outside or inside of your foot). That way they will be able to advise you of the correct shoes.

If you're heavy then try to stick to soft surfaces until your running style improves , approximately 2.5 times your body weight shocks through your ankles/knee's/hips/back everytime your foot lands when running.

The route at Gisburn is a figure 8 the road from behind the pub leads to the cross over point(more or less) , it's a good start point because you could do your favourite part of the loops twice.

I was there just over a week ago , conditions were reasonable on most of the trail only a few places being really sloppy. The rollercoaster section as far as I know is still closed for repair/bedding in.

Definately start from the pub , it only adds about a mile to the route but there's a free jetwash to take the worst of the cack off your bike ,the beers nice and so are the chip buttys!

If it's in really good nick half to two thirds what you paid for it , start taking cash off for worse condition.

Probably not what you wanted to hear

Mrs carlos is taller 5'4" but has a very short torso , she rides a mens XS F700 'dale and loves it to bits .weighs in at the 26lb mark. A standard seatpost on something like this would probably mean the seat height could be dropped for somebody shorter.

I've got some Toyo Proxes CF1's on my rover estate. they're definitely better than both the Michelin energy's and Pirelli p7's I'd previously used. They're 195/65/15 and were £50 a corner. Bargain imo.

Mine have served me well for the last 3 years.

Cut the fancy stuff it always knacks up , cheap and simple works best.

Don't you mean 'thank god it wasn't so serious I couldn't move cos nobody was there' , falling off is part of the process but don't put youself in risk if there's nobody there to help!

a few weeks ago I was bringing junior carlos (nearly 5) home from school when a car cut us up , I only just stopped myself cursing to hear 'for f*cks sake' from the back seat.

I nearly wee'd! , but when we got home explained that this was a naughty word that only daddys say when things go wrong.

It's been a while but we stopped at this campsite for a few nights on our honeymoon.

The staff were very friendly/helpful , plenty of things for you to do and very close to the beach also some heavenly restraunts close by too.

If my lad decides in the future he wants to smoke weed then I'd be more happy for him to smoke at home than elsewhere but would rather if he wanted to get high to find a non smoking method of using it.

I started smoking fags at 12 years old cos it made me look hard ect…
my first try of canabis was when I was 15 , the usual squidgy/Moroccan that seemed to be what was available in the 80's. I've never been tempted to try anything else despite numerous offers.

Nowadays I've packed in tobacco on it's own and only smoke weed now and again when a friends crop comes of age and I don't have to pay for it , but I've always been a 1 joint is enough smoker cos once your stoned your just wasting whats left.

The best non smoking method is , boil a bottle of high fat milk(jersy/gold top) and pour into a flask adding a good sized bud , leave to steep for an hour then seive out the weed. Use to make tea/coffee. ingesting the tch gives a much better buzz and doesn't cack your lungs up.

If you come out of the carpark and turn left and ride up the road about 300 yards where the treeline stops there's a DH of sorts running down the hill.

Nothing too taxing and TBH it doesn't really need a full on DH bike but it's good fun.

I paid £50 for a pair of the original mini's with rotors from the SDH classifieds just over a year ago , but sold the front only I already had for £56 on fleabay.

Brakes like this are becoming popular now for retro style builds.
