One of the main things that can throw you with new lenses is a change in the axis measurement (the angle the lens is rotated to in the frame) , a change of 10 or 15 degrees really seems to make a huge difference with new lenses.

Maybe they are afraid that a buyer might turn up with 4 big mates and just take whatever has been won on the auction? then they’ve lost their item and have no money either.

mrscarlos is 3 weeks out of her first trimester with our 2nd child , I managed to get home early today and she dragged me upstairs and used me 😀 8) .

As above It would be a good Idea to at least take the wife to a few bike shops to try some bike out for size , mrscarlos couldn’t get on woith a women specific frame and ended up with a mens small Cannondale with a ladies saddle and suspension post added.

hopefully you’ll get a decent engineer to check it , we had several round over a 3 month period . replaced the printed cicuit board , thermistors and a couple of other bits with limited success . Eventually a guy came round and asked if anyone had checked the timer switch downstairs , it’s been fine ever since they replaced that.

A tiny little bit. Not much more than ensuring they are upto driving test standard.

I followed a police video van for nearly 5 miles on Saturday on my way home from work , not once in about 8 or 9 turns did the driver use their indicators!

    FWIW I could’ve been following a BMW

Lower seal on the damping cartridge has failed allowing fluid to leak into the lower. The travel stops when the upper leg hits the fluid level in the lower.

seems to be a common problem with recon/reba/revelation forks. It’s a fairly easy fix if you’re reasonably competent with the spanners.

you can buy a seal kit from TF tuned or similar for about £18 or you could buy the full set for both sides from
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180568146300&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

    for £8. I did.

How to fix details can be found on the Sram site and loads of tutorials on youtube too.

If you haven’t ridden a HT for a long time (or ever) I really do suggest you give it a try.. It’s mountain biking, but not as you know it.

    +1

I came from a similar place and love riding my P7 , in fact my FS bike hasn’t seen dirt in nearly 12 months.

I’ve never had a set of Hope pistons push back out during bleeding unless the bleed nipple wasn’t opened properly before pumping the lever!

We weighed up the pros and cons just before our son was born and decided we’d be better of (and be able to give more quality time) if mrscarlos went part time. After doing the sums my wife would’ve only earned £100 or £80 more than part time depending on 5 or 4 week months.

I work early mornings posting letters and she originally did a job share as a supervisor in the afternoons but has since moved elsewhere with less responsibility still doing afternoons , we just shared the childcare and feel our child has benefited from the experience of having a parent at home whilst they are really young.

Alternatively you could dissolve the THC into some fatty milk (i.e. Jersey gold top) and use it in your tea/coffee/cornflakes ect , like my mate who doesn’t smoke does.

Boil a bottle up in a pan , pour into a thermos (type) flask , drop in good sized bud , steep for an hour , use as required!

    Crap that’s awful.

Since moving home we’ve lost 2 cats to the local roads and have decided it isn’t really fair to get another + we can’t put ourselves through getting attached then upset when something like this happens.

I’m in the legalise it camp.

Been an occasional toker for the last 20 odd years , never been a heavy smoker. If I do have a spliff then I’ll have one not spend all night chugging away.

I’m against the idea of coffee shop type places and think it should only be legal in your own home (or friends) and definitely not on the streets.

During the time I’ve used cannabis I’ve been offered just about everything else but enjoy the feeling I get from weed and haven’t been tempted. I rarely drink alcohol for 2 reasons ,1) it takes me nearly 48 hours to get over a hangover and 2) my mum seems to get onto the gin at the slightest excuse and it doesn’t make her a nice person to be around and I don’t want to turn into that kind of person.

I’ve got a disc specific Spesh crosstrail expert sat in the attic doing nowt.If your interested? 17″ centre to centre , 22″ TT with rack mounts on the frame, there’s a set of RST vogue forks on it. I was going to build it for myself but impending childbirth has put the kybosh on that 🙁 + 😀 . The guy I bought it from was running 45mm tyres on it.

Email in profile if your interested/want pics.

Try lower down the range than Deore for the front mech (altus/acera) you quite often get 48t big rings on lower end bikes that are still on square taper chainsets. I used an old STX-RC one without problems on my mtb tourer.

2 pins , one says to the other ‘ you’ve got a point’

Why did the hedgehog cross the road , to see his flat mate.

Depends how you feel about them but have a look at either MG ZTT or Rover 75 tourer diesels , both use a BMW diesel engine in a slightly de-tuned version. You can get a lot of car for your £.

It was in a little backstreet bistro in St Malo , there was a choice of about 20 steaks that were resting around an open fire that the chosen steak was then cooked over.

couldashouldawoulda , that link to the ebay seal kit is perfect , Reba’s are what I need to repair. £8 posted is a bargain seeing as I’d be looking at a minimum of £4.31 for 1 O ring off the other site.

only needed one seal which was the inner seal on the base plug at the bottom of the damping leg, that the shaft slides through.

Would that be the one that always goes ? Allowing the fluid to migrate to the lower leg. if so I’m getting some to save the £20 for the whole set.

Surely if your ticket was booked and paid for before the changeover date the 30 kg limit should have still been valid?

Nobody has disputed that giving to charity is a good thing.

The OP’s original post wasn’t about that though!,it was the hypothetical question below.

What would the massive blow a reasonable sized wad on? It must be suitable for a family of four and all the crap that goes with one

I’m pretty sure that most people would donate a sizeable chunk to their charity of choice if they dropped a huge lotto win.

    Wahl !!

tried about 3 different ones over the last 10 years (started shaving as soon as it was looking thin) and the wahl shaver has lasted me for the last 5 being used every friday night.
Good for keeping the missus in trim too 😈

As the brief is ‘what family of 4 car would you blow a sizeable wad on’ it would have to be one of these , In this colour but with a black leather interior so the oil from my bike chain won’t show. 😀

I realise it’s pure indulgence but after a go in a DB9 the other week (that isn’t really big enough for a family of 4) I’m hooked.
