Got all the speed freak out of my system on two wheels when I was younger, once did an indicated 125mph in a car I’d just bought (just to see what it would do) . Nowadays I set off with plenty of time and am happy to sit and chill at 65mph with the armrest down.

I feel really lucky , carlosg 2.0 is 13 in a couple of months and although we do get grumps now and again he’s a really reasonable kid. He always gets a couple of warnings before we get on his back for doing wrong and always apologizes when he’s realised he’s in the wrong.
Obviously I understand this could all change rapidly but I’m just glad he isn’t the complete toerag I now know I was to my mother in my teens.

Not listened to any newer stuff but loved the early music released by the band. They were a big part of my formative years and always a go to if you got lucky  at the rock venue in Leeds.

My dad was door security at their first ever gig in Leeds at the Fforde Greene pub(now a supermarket) he said Joe Elliott was the only one old enough to buy a drink at the bar.

6-10000 steps per day. Rarely see a fat postman. [/quote]

That would be the easiest round ever!!, I have set my fitbit up properly (not just factory settings) and register between 21,000 and 29,000 steps on my round and up to 11ish miles a day. I’m not exactly slim either at 5’10” and 15st8lb (46″ chest 34″ waist).

I’ve been using a Black view BV6000 since July 2016 , has all the things I need, can be bought for less than the BV8000 it just looks a bit more rugged. The only phone I’ve ever owned that I haven’t killed within 8 months.

Regularly go 31 days without an alcoholic drink passing my lips , I can’t understand why people make such a big thing about abstaining.

Got one through for the kids through ‘Very’ last week with Mario Odyssey for £296 (10% new customer discount). I still haven’t decided if they’ve been good enough to get it yet so it may be a birthday pressie in Feb for one of them. We already spoilt them rotten with other stuff so they won’t miss out.

When I was 15, a schoolmates parents went away for a week leaving him and his sister at home #partytime . Turned out my locker key fit their drinks cabinet (ooops) .

We opened a bottle of Bells and I ended up drinking about 3/4 of the bottle. I was paralytic they chucked me onto the patio when I was going to puke as I was unable to move and I passed out as I remember nothing till about 10am the next day (still pissed).

I must have been pretty close to dying and even the smell of whisky had me running to the loo for years afterwards. Not big or clever just the stupid shit you do as a teenager.

My mums first car after passing her test was an Allegro Vanden Plas , it was lovely on the inside and made you forget how awful the outside looked. It was pooh brown and I hated it.

Fans of the Costco mince pies in our house. Took 4 trays of them into work for everyone last week , I was very popular and now have to go back before Christmas buy them for half the Postie’s at the office.

Yep 28 years in still find her attractive and fancy her like mad , sure she’s a bit curvier than when we got together but so am I so I can’t really have a go can I?

She’s really laid back , loves riding her ‘Dale F700 and is the best mum to our kids that I could possibly hope for.

Oh she’s an amazing cook too which probably accounts for our curvyness.

I’ve been on a Chinese phone for 18 months now (bombproof Black view BV6000).

There’s been no big disasters or problems in that time and there’s not really much difference in operating systems between it and previous Samsung Galaxy phones I’ve had.

Mini carlosg mk2 has had an Umidigi Diamond X for 12 months and apart from the cameras being a bit meh is happy with it, Mrscarlosg had a Vernee Thor and hated it as it appeared to have a mind of its own.

Two OK phones out of three , just do plenty of research to make sure you’re getting what you need.

We’ve had a DeLonghi one for the last year or so, we paid about £40 from Argos for it . No problems so far.

My car has a Kenwood DPX406 DAB fitted , overall digital reception isn’t fantastic but that could just be the stick on ariel. My phone connects straight to it via Bluetooth which is dead useful. I’ll definitely be looking out one of those splitters to see if it helps.

2 adults, 2 kids (6+12) . We spend about £85 a week , Mrs Carlos is allergic to loads of things so we tend to cook from scratch rather than ready meals.

Most of the shop is done at Aldi , I’d hate to think how much the same shop would be at Asda/Morison’s.

We were last in Wharncliffe at the end of September. Massive parts of lower parts of the trails aroud the ‘fast track’ are unrideable due to the machinery they use. We spent an hour on the first push up clearing logs and branches of the trail.

Just had a call ,his mate is an insurance approved repairer and will give guarantees on the repairs.
As an aside the car is a 10 year old Honda CRV so insurance would probably write it off (at a guess)

Ours is a joint policy, bumped up by some pre cancerous cells mrscarlos had removed a few years ago coupled with her horrendous family history.

To my mind it’s worth it , I’m a year older than you with 12 + 6 year old boys and pay £68 a month. The peace of mind that my funeral costs , mortgage paid and lump sum my family would receive if the worst were to happen makes it so.
I knew someone who needed help and didn’t have anything in place which has led to their family struggling another mate who’s younger than me has recently had a tumorous kidney removed and is recovering for 3 months before chemo can start on the secondaries he also has . When I spoke to him he mentioned he’d cancelled his critical illness cover so still has to cover his mortgage payment. It’s one less thing to worry about to me.

I had an Experian score of 997 (near as damn it perfect) an online insurance qoute on a comparison site for the vehicle I was buying dropped that to 805 meaning my new loan gained 3% extra interest on the repayments.

It really doesn’t take much to goose a credit rating. Wouldn’t mind but I pay my premium annually not monthly.

Osteoarthritis in both knees (circa 1mm left medially) I swapped from an Orange P7 to an fs Boardman due to the amount of pain I was experiencing after bumpy rides.

I’m happy with the swap it means I can still get out!

Not having osteoarthritis in my knees would be amazing. If that was sorted I could exercise more and shift the excess weight I’m carrying.

Left ear I have 2 in the lobe and one helix ,Right ear 1 conch piercing. All were done before I was 20 and I still have something in all of them 27 years later.
I’m not overly bothered what anyone else thinks about an old fat bald guy with tats and piercings, they were all my choice and I’m happy to live with them.

We’ll be 68. Bought our first house at 19 and sold it for more than 200% profit 15 years later. New house was a family owned property that I paid my uncle his 1/3 share straight out ,for the remainder I paid my mum 10% and pay a cheap mortgage every month (£250) .She’s said if she pegs out before it’s paid I owe my sister half of what’s left.

A couple of years ago one of the lads at work (who reckons he has a 3TB porn collection) showed me a set of pics of a ‘MILF’ from our area asking if I recognised her. Turned out to be a lass I went to school with and is a receptionist at my doctors. Put me off cucumber for a good while and made me feel rather inadequate , I can’t look her in the eye anymore.

I didn’t pay for the 14 panels on my roof , went down the lease your roof space route with a co called’A shade greener’.

Mrscarlos is a full time housewife and does all the high energy usage during the day when its light. Since installation we have saved on average £50-£60 a month from our leccy bill.

Our house is SSW facing and gets sunlight for most of the day , even in winter we can usually run the washing machine and tumble dryer at the same time for free.

I was once told that DMF replacement can depend on driving style, if a car has been driven smoothly with very little hard acceleration then the DMF doesn’t wear as unevenly.my last car (Rover 75 diesel estate) had 2 clutches in it but didn’t need the DMF replacing.

I’m no genius but thinner oil will go through the damping system faster at a guess and make the fork more active , you’d need more compression/rebound damping to make the fork behave the same as before with the heavier weight oil.

However different oil brands can have different viscosity for the same suggested weight.

Nothing to add on the brakes but Little Stretton wow , I lived there for about 3 years when I was little(if it’s the Leicestershire one) . My dad worked on a dairy farm there in the 70’s , I’m pretty sure the farmer owned half the village for his workers .I remember flying down the hill at the side of our house on my tricycle straight across the road into a field.

Varifocals come with different size close/reading sections , for what its worth Asda optiticians are pretty good . Hard coating/anti reflective coating are standard and they only use the varifocal lenses with the largest close up segment.
