As soon as the Eastenders music comes on it’s a frantic scrabble to find the remote and change to anything but that…
    One thing …. It’s not a square it’s a circle!

One of the reasons I left my old employer of 6 years was that after year 5 of all of the staff being told that yet again no pay rise was due, despite maintaining a steady increase in business and profits, the boss and directors had new cars and private MAV****** number plates… It stunk so I fired my boss and left to start my own business. Before anyone says anything my company motor is 18 years old, German and doesn’t have a private plate.

Not an A/C engineer but… Pulling a vacuum would also prove the system doesn’t leak before filling with refrigerant.
Edit— a Non return valve will help keep a vacuum in the system.

In Holland no one wears a lid not even for dodging the Trams…In Corfu (20 yrs ago) we rode Yamaha DT’s around most of the island in T-Shirts , shorts and just sunglasses on your face, but a couple of riding mates have had biggies this year and the crash hat definitely did its job. I understand the urge but I’ll keep wearing mine for now.

@liamh Must admit I’m not convinced the slightly elliptical shape of the Middleburn TT helps with using the chain keeper as I couldn’t get it in the right place to consistently work as a guide, then to have the chain jam in the keeper was so annoying… I wonder if these are suitable or if there is an issue?
#edit… I got so pissed off with the whole gears thing I’ve returned to Singlespeed again.

Thankfully the cranks look good, first thing I checked after seeing the bearing. I’ve written a pair of cranks off in the past with a seized bearing that just span on the axle..
I reckon those bearings are 2 years old and have stood up to 2K of mileage and a majority of that as a singlespeed… This was the drive side that had gone.

Direct Line Insurance — For cancelling our pet insurance when Cardo dog reached 11 years old… they were prepared to let me pay another years premium but omitting this vital piece of info that basically your pet isn’t insured after 11… they didn’t appreciate my call once I’d read the small print, never again.

+1 for Uberbike Race Matrix..Powerful and no squealing, very impressed, first Alps trip on only a single set of pads, the fronts would probably of lasted another week!

Only had this issue with a saw blade hope rotor which to be fair to Hope they replaced FOC as it had done very little work…. Since fitting the bigger V2 rotors and callipers I’ve managed to get 4 years out of the rear rotor with minimal wear and very even pad degradation. This with Uber race matrix pads I’ve just returned from a very hot gravity week in the Alps on the same set of pads , don’t think I’ve ever managed that !

I’ve recently joined the club with the purchase of a 1997 Audi A4 Avant Quatro TDi and managed to get it for just over £500… needed new disks and pads and some filters oil etc which I did myself with the help of Euro Car parts.. oh and new gas stuts after the boot tried to kill me!! 😯
So far its been as good as gold being my work horse lugging tools and equipment around, then dog transport and of course bike ferrying duties… I even clean it!

We count ourselves very lucky, neighbour on one side lets the dogs out for a tinkle and stroll whilst we are out at work and the other let us use his electric when we were having problems with the wiring in our house.. Just remembered I need to borrow his ladders to sort my windows out too. 🙂
