I’ve had 2 fellow riders use Plush tuning, think he’s based in Leighton Buzzard.. both were pleased with his service.

If you are feeling brave stick a dart in the tyre and see what happens 😉 Otherwise what everyone else suggested.

Despite my first post of it being filthy out there, we had a surprisingly dry ride and didn’t have to sit on newspaper in the pub. Biggest problem at the moment is some huge trees that have come down in the mega storm of last week blocking a few of the good trails.

BA are 23kgs too, which as Mike said above, with the EVOC is a test of your packing skills….We were going to use Sleazyjet for our next trip with their luxurious 32kg limit… damn damn damn.

Have had the best of laughs , some great outings, get our arses out in public and it usually ends up with a pint or 2

Flints are the only thing that ruin the experience but it’s a hazard for where we ride and would wreck a tubed tyre combo anyway… It is amazing how many thorns you pick up that would have been a trailside stop and repair job.. I wouldn’t go back to tubes now.

Sales/Tech support and training bloke for a vehicle diagnostic distributor.(last 8 years)

Sadly the arse is falling out of our industry having survived the recession it’s gone very quiet recently and the importing of cheap Chinese copied tat is ruining it for everyone. Used to enjoy it but the commute due to being now completely office based and the lack of career prospects has spoilt it.
Already have an escape plan and retraining to go back onto the tools. 😉

Pay… it’s going in the wrong direction lets put it that way.

I’ve used them and they were great… mate of mine purchased a frame from them and it was spot on. They’re based in Notts I think you can go and collect if you want to.

Don’t do the lottery…. Me and Mrs C worked out we only ever at best get 50% of the money back that we spend on it over a year, which is going to potentially get worse now the price has doubled.

I think the clue might be in Lances name on that downhill route… professional cheat and all that..

I like Strava but it’s more for fun between your mates who like a bit of competition and some pub banter. Also handy for comparing your own results to see any improvement and for comparison between bikes.

I’m sorry but driving to go and pinch someone’s KOM is a bit sad isn’t it, especially when there is Strictly and X factor on the TV to watch. 😉

Last minutes with Oden.. thanks for sharing that… powerful stuff. the guys at work think I’m having some sort of breakdown at my desk!

We recently got our dogs back from living with my parents and watching your best mates age in front of you is a leveller but the time with them is the best , even when it’s the wet walks , cold mornings… poop/accident in the kitchen etc…

Deeper souls than a lot of people I have met..

@fatladridebikes — been there mate, you have my sympathy fella.

My mate lives in Hurghada , has done for the last 8 years, spoke to him recently he said it’s fine no riots or disturbances, although very quiet out of the hotels and in the town. Most people don’t venture out of their all inclusive resorts anyway so don’t see the real Hurghada.

If you like to be hassled to buy fake watches and dodgy fags then the street vendors are a bit more aggressive than they were due to the lack of tourists and rude Russians. On the other hand you will have no problem getting a good seat in a local bar or a space on the local beach.. 🙂

I always try to be polite, slow down and say thanks…. Ignore any comments and focus on the next bit of my ride.
The chances are I’m having a better journey than they are.
Joggers with headphones in are fair game to be honest.

Haha I’ve done exactly the same as the OP .. well almost, slowing at a junction and new to clips I was surprised by a car flying up the road and had to stop so decided to have a lie down.. and yes the car stopped to ask if I was OK… more embarrassed than hurt…
Thankfully I automatically unclip now by habit but it took a couple of tumbles to develop the habit.

Weekly club night ride with mates and a pub at the end of it, involving Singlespeeds, some Strava woodland trails and the Chiltern Hills. Extending to bigger 30-40 milers at the weekend involving single track bridle ways woods and a bit of road with a tea & cake stop and ultimately a pub or two. The extreme is an annual trip to the Alps for some tech eyes on stalks guided downhill action on the bouncy bikes and trips to Afan and the Peaks.
    I am Enduro curios .
