Le Chameau wellies bought in 2005 – eye watering at the time for a pair of wellies but been to Glastonbury , raved in them, dog walks , shooting weekends still excellent and will probably outlast me.

Ducati motorbikes – anyone who likes the smell of petrol and leather will get this one.

We are one Carbon wheel rims… Outlasted all the other rear wheels I and various riding buddies have owned , slightly chipped cosmetically but never a worry about them letting me down. or the fear of having to bash the dents out of them to keep going.

Exposure lights , purchased the big daft one 6 years ago… brilliant piece of kit.

I suspect powering down the boiler electrically whist working on it and then re starting / re booting the PCB might cause this.. electrical and electronic components do just fail without much warning from experience.

Every time you spend £10 on a card with a shop/business the bank skims an amount from it.

If you spend £10 in cash in the same shop its still worth £10 not £9.90

If that £10 note is given in change its still worth £10 to use again and again without losing anymore of its actual value.

Going cashless dilutes our money and the banks are the biggest business to gain from it in charges and fees.

Makes me smile when people say i dont know how to spend it, … try fuel in the car, a pint in the pub, haircut (our barber only takes cash) a magazine, toiletries in Boots, bits for your bike from an actual shop not CRC (oh hold on) etc etc…

    Going cashless would be stupid.

Thank you @dawson so its not only me suffering with KMC super cheese chains then…

As the main crank cog on my bike is 1/8th wide what geared chain would work on this please?

Bridgedale socks are the only ones I don’t wear holes in and they get worn for almost everything.

Had to do some emergency surgery to my Middleburn crank and Hope BB before a Sunday ride recently, after noticing it wasn’t spinning as freely as normal, yep both bearings were seized. Thankfully caught it early enough not to foobar the crank and the bearings freed up after some oil and a re grease.. This winters been tough on bikes too it would appear.

After losing, sitting on and generally having expensive glasses ruined I went to Screwfix and bought the Dewalt safety glasses for a fiver (ish) possibly cheaper.

Re Dynaplug cost ….A fiver (was a pint of Stella in our local) to just plug the hole and save your ride and your tyre as the plugs stay in there and not have the faff of glue, sealant, tubes or your riding mates complaining the pubs going to shut soon and its raining etc…
All joking apart I’ve used it 3 times once in the Alps when the guides had given up trying to fix a puncture and we needed to get to the lifts before they shut and more recently locally when i had a huge piece of barbed wire stuck in my rear tyre…
99 times out of 100 the sealant will sort out the puncture but just for those moments the dynaplugs ace… oh and refills in our LBS are £8 for 5.

Attempted to bleed a reverb whilst it was dropped and no way we could press the plunger in the syringe, some head scratching and discussion later we decided to press the lever and try to press the syringe to be met with a spray of fluid at high pressure. My mate was covered in it I can still see the outline of him on our wall.
Don’t try bike maintenance after the pub…..

I’ve run a mudhugger on the rear of my Singular for the last 2 Winters with just the supplied helitape and using all the cable ties and it’s been fine.
Remove it as soon as the Chilterns dry out and refit for the Winter.
The tape is doing the job and showing a minor scuff mark from the mudhugger…

I had to get one for this year’s Enduro 2 race in France…
Seen by local doctor it cost £30ish.
Have since had an email from the event organisers saying due to a change in regulations we can now self certify for this event… might be worth double checking this for your event.

No the linkage being in place is to stop you from squeezing the new bearings too far through the frame… I think there is a stop on the inside of the frame for the bearing to sit against too..
it’s been 18 months since I did this btw.

Bought the Dynaplug, now its available in the UK without all the duty and Post Office tax faff. Mainly as most of us ride tubeless and well very rarely have problems with tyres not sealing but you never know.. Sure enough on this trip i needed it for a gusher in the rear tyre, very easy to use and sealed the tyre pretty damn quickly tbh and held for the rest of the trip..
