Hi gonna be doing a very similar build myself wondering what gear ratio u running with that xx1 crank?

Not sure if this is good or bad news but my mate has had to warranty his frame 4 times twice through evolution & twice with silverfish think the longest he waited was about 8 weeks. Though last time he got frame back & rode it once & had to return it straight away with same problem (loose pivot)

I couldn’t help looking at all the forest to left & right when we rode through all that double track & in retrospect wonder if some sort of compromise was made between owners & organisers about where we could ride. Maybe if the event was deemed a success by those mentioned then it can progress one step forward. If not then I think mayhem could do a lot worse than look at what the guys do with HIt The North & the attitude to that event, they facilitate a really healthy sense of humour with mixture of flat out racing from the get go, something which I feel mayhem is losing sight of ?
I will add that a massive change of venue on top of last years mud hell & is gonna take time to rebuild back up to its previous heights.

Have to disagree thought that course was quite a yawn fest nothing rewarding in the least & certainly nothing technical as for singletrack where ? Yeah it held up better than eastnor coz of compact stone ground but no descent back into finish area no sense of achievement like scaling scaling the climb to the obelisk & apart from the descent at the start I don’t think I had to counter balance myself once on that course. Dunno maybe I was expecting too much the way they hyped the ‘never been ridden before’ sections ?
