The cynic in me says that anyone choosing to take up a profession in the full knowledge that they will be trained to kill people, that’s ‘kill people’, for reasons that are at best – controversial, and at worst, profiting from murder – should probably take a much deeper look inside at their own psyche.

Think somebody needs to get out more, can I suggest a bike ride in the local woods

Just moved out of LDN was there for 25 years could never go back, not slagging it off as it’s amazing place to live if you have reason but once you don’t it’s pretty shite. BTW There’s loads of riding there Epping Forest starts right next to East London.

Grew up in Bolton (Horwich) whilst Rivington is ace could never go back either.

Well that clip says more about the person who created it than VV. FWIW I thought he handled it very well considering all the flaws in the series. Incidentally none of the critique of season two has mentioned him in fact it’s all directed at Colin Farrell from what I have read.

I enjoyed it but way way too disjointed and complicated. Thought Vince Vaughan was great btw.

I came across that bull legislation the other day but I was searching about aggressive cows ! Got a field of young Jersey cows(I think) with a public FP running through middle. Tried to cross few weeks back and had the dog with me (on lead) but as soon as we got near the gate to enter the field about 20 descended on it and wouldn’t let us pass, I though it was quite interesting as never had this happen before and they were obsessed with the dog. Anyway was out running with the dog last week tried to go through the same field and the cows were quite away from the gate so we entered and started to run through field to the other side (dog on lead) and the cows just legged it towards us bloody loads of em ! It turned out to be a race between me/dog and the cows who could get to the other gate first. It was a close call they were only a few yards back and had me worried to the point I picked up a big stick that was lying on the floor just in case. They didn’t give a shit I stopped a few times shouting loudly at them but this did nothing to frighten them. I got to the gate and safety there was a couple with a border collie that also wanted to go through the field and had witnessed everything who stood there with mouths wide open ! I told them the cows are after the dog (I presume) and didn’t give a shit. They decided to go another way :-). I filmed the original encounter http://youtu.be/kquwQGlbPy0 even with the dog nipping at them they wouldn’t move

Not in the golden eagle or any eagle league but here in the Chilterns (Hughenden valley) there’s red kites everywhere can sometimes count 7-8 above circling the woods/fields. They are pretty impressive especially when they come down low and you can make out almost every detail.

Update on my XTR stages replacement, and all is good especially since last firmware install. Went to check one of my ultegra’s ones that hasn’t been used in a while as this is sometimes where I have had battery draining issues (when crank has been idle). No problems picked up and calibrated straight away.

A few years back (26″ wheel days :-)) I wanted a full suss for exposure 24 and was in the same boat as yourself with road/hard tails all carbon. Truth is couldn’t afford carbon FS so got an aluminium Anthem, was and has been my only FS and my experience was I noticed no difference in frame material but shitloads from having a rear shock. How much this was due to the jump from HT to FS being so noticeable is anybody’s guess but just my experience. Gotta add that anthem was one hell of a bike.

Large South Indian community in East ham. Not the greatest place to visit though but plenty of local restaurant there. High Street north come out of tube station turn right and walk towards the lights and keep going on your left and right for about 1/4 of mile.

32-17/18 depending on how fit I feel. All riding in Chilterns plenty of hills with the odd push up something ridiculously steep if running a 17.

Not sure how an El Mariachi qualifies as over priced (no irony intended as I genuinely don’t know enough about the other bikes) but I can say it a great ride & fast. My only criticism of it would be its heavy but I upgraded to a carbon fork and made a massive difference.

I liked it, what has helped is eradicating all comparisons to series 1. Admit the story (or lack off so far) is somewhat taxing but I loved the ending where they all meet and that scene shot was amazing. It also has a significantly darker tone to it which again I like. There has been some criticism of the script & cliches, but I don’t think series 1 was free from those either – deep south bootlegging church going mysteriously powerful criminals involved in hidden abuses ?

Did exactly as you talking about when still in LDN, kids were skating or on BMX, I was just dropping in riding bowls nice & easy etc (dagenham) came off hand hit concrete in a bad way off bike for 2 weeks hurt like hell, just be careful as crashing isn’t the problem it’s crashing when bike riding is your no 1 pastime.
