Where do you get these voucher things from then?

mastiles_fanylion – We have an 18month old do you think flamingo land will have rides and things that will amuse her? I was thinking the zoo would as she loves animals.

I had a quick look at Flamingo land to take the littleun to the zoo bit, 2 adults 1 kid seemed to be £88.

have you had any pay back from the investment yet? Weigh the quality of that up against the cost so far.

I was going to head out but had to be in the office for 7 this morning, dont think he got these until about 2am or so.

He was saying that it was too light and cloudy at 11.

few people in the industry mentioned sky may not be happy with the Pinarellos, talk of Merida next year, yep Merida… Who knows if thats true?

Biggest team, biggest bike manufacturer, i presume lots to be gained for Merida.

    got one and like it

Problems described above – knees out and you cant get off front of saddle so need to lower saddle to be able to reach ground and get on and off easy.

18month old Daughter loves it and waves at people like she is the queen when in it. Great fun, now if only it was dry id get her out these next few days.

    totally random behaviour

I could get mobile data over GPRS and 3G but couldnt call out at all not sure about texts.

Showed full signal but couldnt call out. Did the off/on 3g thing now put 3g back on and ive full signal again and can call. Looks like a complete resolution.

I’d have thought that the decommisioning of a number which is what people are saying is what happened would of affected my mobile data but it didnt.

Not sure about receiving calls as i didnt test that.

Mine wouldnt work with the 3g off switch so tried turning cellular data off too that seemed to fix it.

Ive been having loads of problems with o2 data recently in my area and rang o2 to discuss leaving contract early, they wanted £280 up front to leave.

Wonder what compensation if any O2 will give its customers.

    Unbelievable

Cant see that company lasting long term, in house garage with body shop. Surely that makes no sense.

Salaries are mental – drainsman £150k wtf!

Can we allow this thread to develop into a Blackbird love in?

Im sure I read something somewhere about them leaking fuel when on runways due to the expansion tolerances.

    carbon337

It was a few combining circumstance that led to me virtually quiting MTB.

Cost of fuel getting anywhere inc local woods. £10 of fuel a few times a week adds up.
Time to get away on mtb after having our first kid
Started it and realised I’m actually pretty damn good at roading
Lost 4.5 stone in about 14 months
In lat 2 days I’ve done about 100miles of roading from my door at 20mph + avg work out the calorise from that.

I downgraded my MTB as it was just sitting there, MTB mates all told me I was mad but it allowed me to get a super road bike and I love it an don’t miss my five at all. I’ve got a c456 if I fancy the odd day.

Be carefull though the money you save on fuel for MTB trips you will spend on gear that makes you look like a total tart. I love all the aesthetics part of roading and I’m fully signed up to that.

If I was to return to MTB it would probably be the whole euro xc stuff and dabble in xc racing.

Has anyone said Rapha yet? disagree with you there quality is great and the design is excellent – R&D needs paying for.

We have loads of people in our club using TCR advanced for sportives for racing they are great.

You will be lucky to get one though the advanced and SL have long waiting lists I believe.

You might find the defy advanced a bit relaxed for racing, ive never seen anyone racing one. Although most people ride Caad 10’s with carbon wheels for racing in these parts.

I like what youve done there…. Want to but a Saxo?

    ^ agree with ribble comment

    2.5k I’d go:

Cube litening – oh I already did do that. 🙂 others though.

Canyon aeroad or ultimate cf x thingy
Giant tcr advanced 2 (mate has one it’s lovely)
    Rose something or other

Are you after aggressive performance position or comfort. All above won’t be comfy but will be quick.

Defy advanced if your after a sportive comfy ride.

Rapha or torm with splashes of exteondo and castelli.

Maybe some assos if you can get it to fit correctly.

    carbon337

That Torm stuff looks great – whats the fit like?

    carbon337

    le col
    morvello
    exteondo
    Assos
    castelli

    Ladders that link is brilliant.

Cant afford the Rapha stuff really but i get the family to buy me evouchers for borthday and xmas and just use them to save up for stuff. Im hoping they release a long sleve jersey soon rather than the winter jersey. Im after something for in between 5-14degree type weather which is what we have in the North east the most.

Pick up the hat, socks and oversocks myself every now and again.

I couldnt get the sizing for assos right medium were too long in the leg and small to short in the body.

Ended up with some exteondo press which are lovely. Nearly pulled trigger on Rapha but that extra £40 seemed a bit much at the time.

I like his historical info on chateau but he loves to tell us which rider had ever ridden a mountain bike.

“Evans was actually a champion mountain biker” being one of hi favourites.

Or “such and such was actually a champion mountain biker so he should do well on these technical sections” will those be the rock gardens and drop offs they’ve added to this years stages.

I lost 4 stone on the £75 stw OCR diet. Then applied the cube litening super hpc race upgrade.

Heading out on it now in fact

They’re rubbish wheels it was going to happen at some point.

Leave it and when it gets a bit worse get it done the next time its in for something else like a servcie or treat your wheels to an annual service later.

I have a cube litening it’s great but very stuff and fast.

The cube agree race thingy mbob gets good reviews.

Focus izahco or however you spell it won bike of the yer if you believe in all that nonsense.

What kind of frame performance orientated or comfort orientated.

Both different defy vs tcr advanced, Tarmac vs roubaix, super six vs synapse, the canyon cf look more perfance market.

    carbon337

    Cannondale super six
    Cube gtc agree
Canyon ultimate cf 8? I can’t remember the exact model at 2k.

Good budget to play with but spend wise have a wander around the shops and see where you get the good advice.
