Sorry for your loss valleydadddy, my grandfather has it and it’s hard to see a strong former miner wither into a weak frail old man.

He has the longer strain thankfully and has had it for about 5 years now. He has server muscle wastage now and his arms are like skeletons.

AFter spending the afternoon looking at carbon forks for the 456 I thought Im sure I can get a cx frameset and strip the ribble down and move stuff over to a CX bike.

Any recommendations for cheaper Alu frame and carbon fork deals? Dolan, on-one?

Spoke to OO who sent me some 9mm conversion adapters for free which is nice of them.

next task to get some tyres, give it a try and then see about getting the PX carbon fork. Unless of course anyone has a second hand fork lying around.

On-One reckon it will be like riding at 120mm so should be better but not to steep. I may use it for some XC races too. Reckon it will come in sub 20lb which will be fun.

My 26″ wheels are maxle lite I think 15mm maybe?

I can probably convert them back to QR they are the on-one wheels that come with the c456 x9

tbh, you’ll compromise the 456 for ‘normal’ riding if you try and make it work and be competitive for a cx race.

I rearely use it anyway. I got it just to have in case i wanted to go back to MTB every now and again, I ride roads 99% of my time now.

I use the 456 more with the WEERide fitted than I do on trails.

EDIT – Can someone recommend me a Fork that would fit with my Avid discs and some tyres please?

^ Best I have found – wipes off dry comes with a pipette to apply a small ammount on each roler. Wipe after application with a dry rag.

Cant comment on 3T but I just got some Pro PLT compacts, light and cheap. Not interested in carbon bars for road racing.

I ride the drops lots and the shape suits me great. I think the closest to them may be the Ergosum or is it the ergonova….

I had this for a few years, sold it about 4 months ago due to lack of use.

Lots of people gave me good feedback when out and about on it. Quite a few on my flikr to look at.

Ive got that cheap one – its great.

Used it to swap a gearbox on a Fiat Punto van, alternators, EGR valves, disks, pads on a Zafira.

In fact as its a small box its ideal to leave in the car on long journeys like family holidays etc.

Highly recommend the Halfords pro range

I had something similar I slept for 14 hrs one night. I then came down with loads of mouth ulcers and cold sores indicating I was run down. Had a week of road riding as I had done 200 miles a week and 4 races in 7 days.

Slowly getting better but still get the off day.

    Are you exercising loads?

After being a footy fan and ex season ticket holder if a premier league club that football is rubbish compared to hockey.

The British hockey matches have been brilliant

My brother needs to rent his flat out, he got told their payments were going up.

However they have just decided not to tell bank and just rent it out anyway. I’m not sure of any consequences but fairly sure they won’t be amused. He is getting all the other legal bits done on boiler etc.

I’m staying out of it his wife is a cow it’s all her idea.

I have the same cube litening as shown back a page but with plain carbon 50 mm’s it’s an amazing bike.

Fast, lite and stiffer than a sixty year old on Viagra.

Does this work? On my phone trying link flikr.

Its awesome, fast stiff and light. The BB is massive.

It can be a bit hard on very rough roads as it really is designed as a race bike, they have changed the seatpost to a 27.2 to help a bit i believe. The colour is nicer in real life too. I initially wasnt sure from pictures but its nice in the flesh. I originally wanted a TCR adv SL but this came up so jumped at it.

I wont tell you how much i bought the brand new frame only for though 🙂

I love my wheelsmith gigantex I’m uising them for everything at the moment which is naughty since i have some mavic Ksyrium elites too.

20-24 and well stiff even for race sprinting. They make a nice sound too when changing down gears.

^ yeah but these people weren’t down an embankment they were on a road that must have been assessed by someone. They say it was being closed until it could be fixed in September, someone must have on the scene at some point, probably when the poor buggers were still alive inside the car.

You feel weird at first for about a week then after that when your racing and riding in a group of a decent level its totally normal.

I draw the line at that fancy oil they all use from Rapha and fake tan though.

    I have these – they’re lovely.

Mate has Bonts Vapour – they seem nice as do the normal Sidi ergo things – Planet x had a big sidi sale on recently they may have some left.

Fully signed up member to the shaven roady club now.

I was a 3 a week MTB rider. Had our first child so time became more precious.

Cost of fuel and components started to put me off as well as the dirtyness and midge bites.

I lost 4.5 stone in a year with no real huge diet changes.

I now race road and mix that up with social rides. I have a c456 in the shed used mainly for rides with my daughter on her weeride.
