Brand was quite important at my school, being a bit of a posh kid I managed to get new ones for birthdays etc so didnt get bullied.

British Knights – remember them, they kicked it all off as far as I remember – they did a range of white and black shell suits that also caught on.

There was a vicors kid at my school and his mam made some decks into Rebok pumps by sticking a white cirle of paper on the tounge and writing pump on them. Poor kid never stood a chance. Wonder what ever happened to him – may facebook him.

I once had a kid try to take my Reebok pumps from me in a park in Morpeth with a pen knife. To this day he still hasnt stabbed me. I just said no and walked away – his mates nearly fell into river laughing at him.

might try the press ups on scales thing…

Im 90kg do 60kg free weight bar lifts 3 sets * 12 reps two to three times a week. I think I could do 80-90kg as a single lift but wont try on my own – will get a spotter and make sure no chicks are about.

Kevin Nolan is too slow for temper tantrums – he's to far behind them trying to catch the tantrum 🙂

Its like he is running on sand when you watch him on TV.

I agree he is no angel, but I think he is probably ok 99% of the time and its just alcohol fuelled aggression issues.

He has been lots quieter recently, he is from a really rough family and area, loads of money and no guidance.

If he is sober you never hear of any bother with him. He has demons thats for sure and he seems to be addressing them in the last year or so.

When you hear him in interviews he seems a nice guy and actually comes across quite intelligent.

Weather or not that makes him a c**t thats up to you, in my opinion he has taken quite large steps to addressing his personal issues and deserves some credit for that.

Dont get me wrong though I'd never defend what he has done to others but as a NUFC fan I support him with his treatment and wish him the best for the future.

he looked like a stereotypical french oil painter…

mtb_rossi – fellow toon fan here too.

Pretty tough fixture for our first game – hope it doesnt knock all confidence as we didnt play too bad considering the situation we have been in. If Carroll gets service and support he will be a canny forward for the next few years.

Not sure when I used them for Wireless Access Points they were pre specced from supplier. They were always the weak link too, constantly breaking.

+1 Colours of day and Give me joy in my heart – we had them although nobody sang them apart from organist and some old aunties.

will you not need media convertors from fibre to cat5 then into POE then out via cat5 to camera?

Really wish I had stuck in and become a Pilot…although I think there are a few too many rules which I would cut corners on so maybe for the best.

I would have liked to have worked with teenagers in sport as a coach of something or PE teacher.

However I was sitting here last week and looking out of window and it twigged….. I want to be a council grass cutter on those ride on mowers, the one i was watching was having a grand time.

Springers are ace – he makes me laugh every day – however he is quite naughty and has a few issues. These come from having 3 homes before 5 years old.

We got him from NESSR.NET – Northern English Springer Spaniel Rescue – not just northern though they have dogs in foster all over and will travel etc.

He was ran over in October and is nearly all fixed now – vet reckons if he wasnt as fit or string he wouldnt have made it through the 3 ops he had on his spine.

I looked at both but the head angle looked steeper on the SC compared to 5. I was looking for a bike that gave me more confidence to nail it on downs so tried a 5, loved it an bought it.

I love how it's noisy, industrial and above all love the made in GB badge. It's also full of hope bits from the factory and I couldn't get that with the sc.

Also I would have had to travel miles to get a SC dealer where my Orange came from my LBS.

morgrim – my rescue spring does the same – you can use a pet corrector which is an aerolsol jobby but I find that was only a temporary measure.

We went on holiday to a cottage and didnt have the same problem there so it just seems to be in our house – neighbours slamming doors etc and people walking past window.

The boardwalk is lethal in the wet so watch yourself…. I was there last week its really hard work physically, look out for the pink paint showing you the lines over the rocks in the middle section. Bottom is nice in the trees with some nice berms etc.

I said no to similar situation. Doing IT work on us marine bases. I was up for it but parents and wife weren't. I thought it was rather selfish of me to put them through th worry. There is more to life than money I suppose.

Now with baby on the way I definitely won't be going.

so its not one of these downhill things with timed sections? Never done anything like this before and I'm tempted to go and have a look but not if its all XC whippets on 80mm carbon hardtails and lycra.

Fork, Rotavator, flask, wireless with coat hanger aerial, gas heater, black sheeting stuff to stop weeds growing – a really good investment as first year our crop was taken over in weeks by weeds. This year we have tons of stuff.

avoid comtrend adapters – stick with linksys or dlink.

nickc – i have to disagree on the ADvantage. If you get the pressures right they are excellent. The high volume allows you to have lots of flexability with lower pressures.

They also roll fast for gixer-chris's climbs.

Another tip i got was dont put your inside knee out at 90 degrees – Like motorbike racers do.

Instead, imagine your knees are tied together at about 12" bring your inside knee in towards the top tube (outside foot down).

This encourages you to turn your upper body at the hips into the corner, it also encourages you to lean the bike more into the corner (apparently most people dont get the bike over onto the outside knobbles and end up riding on the bit in between the outside and inside tread pattern). This technique also gets you standing higher from your saddle and in turn puts your weight further forward onto the bars and through to tyres.

Anyone would think I'm a bit of an expert after typing all that – in hindsight his instruction was great my execution is still somewhat off ideal.

My egr valve did this on a 1.9cdti – spanner light on and it goes into limp mode… no torgue as if you can barely get over 30mph.

    All in < £100

Do a skills course – the cornering technique that James Shirley taught me is working a treat for carrying speed and having confidence in corners. Its all about flow and maintaining momentum.

    heres a question…

Maxxis ADvantage 2.35 or Maxxis HR 2.3 42a on front of a five?

The chunkier ADvantage or the stickier HR? Mainly for loose pine needles, wet roots and rocks.

Check Top-Up-TV they maybe doing it. Failing that BT Vision but that needs Broadband and Vision Subscription + the £6.99 charge per SS1.

Did the DS this afternoon. Mrs wasn't really happy with me being away all day so just did the up and down into Kinlochleven. Not too many walkers and an hour from one side to next. Push up was fine with Midges only showing up when I stopped. Quite big loose boulders but really fun and technical. Grand way to fill an hour in.

If you do DS then along to dam and back ciaran path to kinlochleven how long would you say a medium fit person that would take?

This is above my budget really – was looking 2nd hand but ebay prices are steep probably the TDF effect.

Go Outdoors would do me the 2010 Raleigh Airlite 300 for £475 with full Tiagra.

It's always that last one, the let's do one more…. We once went for a sail when a race was called off for a laugh, unfortunately it ended up with a fellow sailor dying when a massive squal hit.
