I work in Newcastle City Centre and live on the coast near Alnwick. No riding as such from doorstep but 30 min drive to Rothbury area and some secret spots.

Commute to Newcastle on the train from Alnmouth normally at £40 per week.

Id say from what you have suggested – Morpeth, Alnwick, Hexham, larger nice towns but they all do have rough areas (like anywhere really).

Loads of nice places about, Rothbury for riding but no big shops or anything (you may even see some Raoul Moat mourners hanging by the riverside) – Corbridge, Wylam, Warkworth, even up Bellingham area there will be good riding places near (Kileder) but small town – few pubs and local stores.

Nothing spotted in Thrunton area as yet – good idea to report this as I had forgotten about it.

Its the date on section 4b. They say that date relates to the picture and they need a new one as its 10yrs old. Seriously annoyed me – not the 20 quid which is minor but more the principal.

Got a 1 week old baby. Been up a few times so far tonight.

Noah was our top but he is a she so it’s now Eleanor (Ella)

We got a maxi cosi mura 3 for our 1 week old. Got the pram body/carry cot for the first few months then it will take them offroad up to 3-4 ish in the normal seat. Great on grass etc so far. We have a springer that needs to still go on good walks so intend on using this along with a baby bjorn carrier. Bought a full system inc maxi-cosi cabriofix car seat and the pram body for about 500. The car seat clips to the chassis too.

The late ski Sunday show ed and Graham did last year on a Sunday night was excellent shame it’s not on this year. 🙁

Dont stay for 2 weeks in idrive though maybe 5 days then get in a car and do a tour holiday – start off on East coast work down through places like New Smyrna Beach then cocoa beach down to Ft Lauderdale. Across to the Everglades and up via Sanibel Island, Sarasota, Tampa and back to Orlando to fly home.

We used to go twice a year from about 81 – 93 with my family. Only did the parks every now and again. Normally stayed at New Smyrna in August and Sept and on the Februray break stayed down in Duck Key area of the Keys.

Enjoy whatever you choose but there is more to the place then the parks in Orlando.
