I have a 160 forked five and love it. Considering a coil shock – anyone want to swap a 2010 rp23 bv for a coil?

I have the Easton cnt monkeybar xc thinies 685 very nice but not quite wide enough by todays standards but nice low rise. They scare me a bit when doing bigger drops.

Keep contemplating selling them and getting some 745 type widths.

stuey – great minds think alike – i was just reading some old threads using the search about hilo’s and when i returned to the main page I seen this.

It must be a sign – i will get one from that Active sports germany site I think.

Looking at the pricing the non-remote for near enough 100 quid seems reasonable to me.

there is a long fireroad you can pay a toll to drive on – i did it once never again, it was a bit rough and car was covered in dust by the end of it.

neninja – someone the other day suggested Eastern Europe. Im not sure but there seems to be more videos of kids riding in former eastern block countries nowadays.

l_ache – i think if you work in these places it would be wise to save up a small buffer of dollars stashed in a sock or something.

They were sayin the other day on the news that cash machines wernt working and neither were card machines so nobody could get cash.

Working from home so had a wander with the dog in the sunshine along Northumbrian coastline. Its amazing how a bit of sun gives you some extra spring in your step.

And its miles away from anywhere and really awkward to get to. Its 50Miles away from me and takes 1h40m to get too. I can get to GT in 2 hrs so never bother with Kielder.

On a seperate note though I dont think its used enough as a holiday type destination (centre parcs kind of place) For a day trip if it was closer to Newcastle or A69 then it would be great but I think it suits a holiday destination better. If there was more investment in infrastructure there it could create more jobs for Northumberland – but they would need to do something about midges

I had a chance to work in Afghanistan as a contractor to an IT company – I rejected it as it wasnt worth the risks to my saftey, money was massive but there is more to life than that imo.

However if i had taken it I would have expected to fund my own return if it had become more dangerous.

Oil company putting on their own flights for their staff thats fair enough but the other ones that are going today are government chartered ones picking up other uk citizens – get them out yes but then get them invoiced afterwards.

On the not paying tax thing – a friend works on ships and he openly doesnt pay tax yet comes home for treatment from the NHS etc when he needs it. He claims though that driving a Range Rover he pays enough by the ammount of fuel he uses when he is home.

I had mine out at the weekend – the allen bolts screw into a bar with threaded ends – this passes through some outer bushes (top hat shaped) that go through shock.

Once bolts are out it should lift out vertically – as in straight up out of the mounts.

Is the 2011 Blood still 27.2″ seat tube? I wonder if that will be updated later in year to pull it in line with five

Some horrendous pictures floating about on twitter showing mutilated bodies, more than small arms in use there.

Thats of course if they are real – they do look very real though.

Wonder if they will hand abdel baset al megrahi back now?

On a serious note though, I wonder if we are witnessing the start of WW3? They cant kick all the governments out of these countries and expect them to all run sweetly.

All very interesting but at the same time very worrying for the next few years.

There was a reasonable thread on here about the mega and how the very steep seat angle makes it a good all dayer but with the slack head angle to make the downs and jumps fun.

Is that a correct assumption – i dunno about this angle stuff really. I have a 5 built with coil lyriks, double and bash, flows and that seems to do as a do it all bike enough for me. Innerlethen, glentress, local woods, local XC loops.

Its just an opportunity for them to go in the back door with there plans now.

Dont trust them, any of them….. They’re all evil.

Seriously though I doubt they will fully drop the plans, they will come back with a reworked worse plan.

If you go into IT and aren’t really into it you will hate it. I’m quite into it and still hate it. The day job is fine it’s the associated paperwork to do with change management and security which is found in larger orginisations. I constantly dream of leaving it all begind and becoming a country park ranger.

Ps I do loads of out of hour changes, tonight is working on testing a change to some routing and firewalls from 9-02:00. This is after being at work from 8-5. Only toil no overtime paid.

A long as your not expecting a mini springer, they have equal if not more madness. I have experience of both and the working cockers are more bonkers. All are different though but for riding my springer was ace and I wouldn’t consider either of the 2 wc’s

British gas charging for gas but transco or whoever looking after your meter? Will that do as your analogy? Also can you imagine transco being happy with folk working on gas meters

Your not dealing with openreach though, your dealing with BT retail who then have to pay BT openreach as a separate entity for your work. Openreach have no face to face relationship with end customers.

You think it’s bad, try working in the place.

Playing devils advocate how much would it cost to get a british gas engineer out for an hour to look at your boiler for example? Yep I know it’s a 5 min job but it will be a minimum of an hour to cover travel overheads.
