This stat that the “wall of water” travels at 500mph. Am I right in thinking that it isn’t water displacing at that speed but it’s the energy that’s travelling at 500mph and the movement of water at the end is just a reaction to this energy.

I think christenings have just become a chance for parents to have a “look at us, come look at our baby” they seem to be more about the party and meal now than they were years ago.

We had to go to one recently and the mother spent the whole time taking pics on her phone and most the guests talking during the service. Got home to see she had been uploading to FB straight away.

My bro and his wife made a big thing about having a humanist ceremony and now my sister in law has decided she wants to get my nephew christened.

Im needing convinced not to swap a needing serviced RP23 for a custom tuned van Rc. Looking like I’m going to do it at the moment.

I’d been wanting a coil for a while but worried about the weight increase. It’s on a 5 BTW.

the axle is basically a welded stud into the downtube

This will be my first attempt but as its relatively agricultural i cant see it being hard.

Loosen both tap the arm one way > then tighten the opposite side and hit arm towards thast side > then loosen and do vice versa – bit of copper slip on the axle/stud and press new ones on.

Yeah you can see a gap opening up between bearing and axle. Now need my dealer to get me some tomorrow 🙁

If anyone has a greenhouse and paving slabs in the NEWCATSLE area I will have it. Been trying freecycle for weeks to try and get one.

+1 for the surprise at the ammount of testers on here.

I have done, E’s, coke, weed, speed – all rubbish and all when i was about 19-20 never liked any of it just went with the drinking culture at the time. Didnt like not having any control.

Heroin – surely the worst substance ever – ok maybe crack and crystal meth are in comepetition. Its a vile disgusting life wrecking and terrifying downward spiral in my opinion. I was trerrified from Grange Hill days with Zammo – and that just say no message stuck with me.

Never seen it used or know anyone who has ever used it and hopefully it will stay that way. I am pretty naive to all this thing though.

I was just going to do the air seal service myself first and see if that works. What do the TF etc do over and above an air seal service?

I have a 5 and fancy a blood as my XC days are dwindling – the only problem with the blood is cost against a Mega and the 27.7 seatpost.

Wonder if the blood for next year will follow the five of this year and include tapered headtube and wider seat tube.

I have a 8yr old rescue Springer, 3 homes before us we got him at about 4.5 yrs.

He’s a nutter and at times I can see why people have become frustrated with him. his last owner got rid because he was too dirty for the house but the one before that paid for him to go into boarding kennels for a year.

If anyone is interested see NESSR.NET they are a local springer resuce near me and are always inindated with springers and working cockers looking to rehome. They are based nr Newcastle but have dogs in foster homes across the country.

We have a fairly basic aprroach to him now though – 2 good maybe 3 good walks throughout the day (proper walks with tennis ball lobbing and swimming in the sea) keeps him very content in the house especailly in the evenings. If that doesnt work get them something like a filled kong to entertain their minds. Its a fairly basic principle – tire them out and they are great, dont tire them and they will frustrtate you and cause problems.

    Best dogs ever IMO

google calendar works well for me to keep everything in sync – iphone and macbook sync over (i hate this term) cloud. I have multiple calendars within google too and you can share them with others.

Set it up using the exchage option and it will push notify your appointments.

I got wrong for trying to fix things all the time when in fact all they want is listened too and sympathy. It’s hard because I fix stuff at work but women arent IT systems. They are far more complex!

Maybe spend a day do a nursery or pram shopping and a gentle walk to get her moving around from there. Lunch etc.

I have just started using a ’93 rigid hardtail mtb in SS mode. No probs at all and it only cost me £5. Skinny slick tyres pumped up hard for 4 miles each way. I would like a carbon forked £800 road bike though but then I would be concerned about leaving it at a train station all day.

Nah shes on my side – its her who is most upset by them and I am the shoulder to cry on.

They are just f’in idiots I tell you.

The latest one being quite small but follows on after having our first baby and them showing no interest what so ever as in no presents or anything – one visit in 8 weeks, no phone calls nothing. Bearing in mind they live 5 mins walk away. She even passes our house on the way to work twice a day yet never calls in as the Dad wants his tea at 4 and she must get home quickly.

The list goes on and on – I may write a book actually.

My Dad used to have Mince ones – as in mince and dumplings – with gravy on.

    Weird I know.

Didnt McGrath also become an alcoholic? He was in that Tony Adams place for treatment. He was an Alcoholic whilst playing too apparently.

Isnt Kevin Keegan on record saying that Quinn was the best natural finisher and the fastest player over 10 yards he had ever seen.

However IMO the greatest was Gazza Im afraid. A genius on the field who also succeeded in other countries unlike others mentioned above.

There are some great you tube clips of him. I’m not condoning the wife beating, drugs and drinking though.

Sharkbait – there is a bigish fleet on the NE and I nearly bought one after I sold the melges but to be competitive you really need to commit to sailing it a few times a week at least.

I travel on trains 3 times a week – yesterday it turned up 20 mins late and no heating on. They still come round and charge you full price for the privilege mind.

I might start a train revolution and refuse to pay when the heating isnt on or its running late.

Owned one of these for 5 years, competed around the UK with my best pals, until we all had families and ran out of disposable income.

Brilliant boats, fast, responsive but very hard to be competitive in.

Sold it to Sweeden last October 🙁

Its not very thick and you need a fleece zip up jumper type top on underneath in the cold.

Other than that its excellent and a good cut. Breathable and fine in light rain.

I got mine on Amazon – 2011 model only £50 so search about, its the black one so no red zips.

How do you measure rise? I have the Easton cnt that came in the five performance pack, I like there low rise but want something wider.

Are the 20mm rise nukeproofs about the same rise as my Easton monkey lite cnt thingies?
