Yep this thread isnt going to help one bit really.

Can you imagine a car policy which wouldnt cover a bumper if it got damaged on another policy previously. So your stuck with one company and they just keep pushing it up. Doesnt sound right when you think about it.

Technically its fixed to a Vetinary standard so really it shouldnt matter – clutching at straws

Please dont get a working cocker – they arent mini springers. They need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. You see them as police sniffer dogs for a reason.

Ive got a springer and parents have 2 gundog trained working cockers. The cockers are skitsier (spelling) more intelligent then my springer.

    All demand alot of attention.

VW will give you 2k towards your deposit on a new golf and many dealers are topping that up too

Cant see that anywhere on the vw financing page. Honda are giving 1500 which is 100 less than the cost of financing it.

If VW are giving that we may have a proper fight off.

My old man had that 2.2 and they are very torquey. Cant see the 1.4 having that issue.

Bluetooth. Not a decision maker but getting hold of the wife is a nightmare so she cant miss my calls when the phone automatically connects in the car.

I will look at second hand options at the dealers see what they can do deal wise.

I will probably keep it about 4-5 years maybe longer.

Actually the ceed has a 3yr package for £300 so im technically wrong above 🙁

Only problem with the ceed would be its depreciation. The 7 yr warranty is based on an annual £300 service so £2100 in servicing to get that warranty.

Honda gets 3 yrs free servicing + a further 2 more for £199.

Honda civics rule. Rarely break. I’ve got a 1996 with 100k on it and its never let me down. 17yr old soon.

We are off to look at another one but brand new as our main car as they are so reliable. Hold value well and a bit different than a golf.

If your coming from an i device it may annoy you, it has with me.

    My experiences:

App store – some stuff you can get some you cant. The ones you cant if you want to fanny on and sideload them in by downloading packages etc you can but its annoying.

App store random crashes and unknown errors when downloading things. Turn off and on and it works eventually.

Ive had a few issues today with UI crashing and having to send reports off – had isses with Loaders crashing.

Put it on silent – but it decides after a while it isnt happy on silent and turns itself off

Its ok, its cheaper than a ipad but if you want something to just work then it may randomly annoy you. The wife is sick of it already and calls it “that bloody thing” 9/10 times its good just the odd occasion it lets you down.

    Received 2 on Saturday.

290g with zip and 150 performance. Both medium.

Both going back tomorrow. 150 has thumb holes as and is too big for a performance fit and arms too long for me. 200g with zip is a better fit but the zip goes down at an angle when worn. This will irritate me.

    Back to buying an icebreaker.

Edit- in the pic above it shows the wonky zip.

Is it the 150 ? Zx19dth engine 16v engine is a nasty piece of works.

My zafira has been a nightmare

    3 alternators
    3 Egr
1 new inlet manifold yep swirl flaps
    1 dual mass flywheel

    55 plate 77k

When it works its champion , torquey fast great for going tho road races in.

Apparently the fiat block is great and no problem. The problem comes from all the additions to get the power whilst maintaining efficiency. Also the higher HP use an oil with a higher moisture content causing the carbon buildup.

If we can solve the problem of the motorist thinking they have more right to the road then cyclists then we have it solved. Also get them to realise they have no right to be past cyclists.

From my experience the main problem seems to be cars trying to squeeze through between a cyclist on their side and an oncoming car. This is on rural roads. Cities tend to have wider roads in a lot of circumstances.

Dont ride in the gutter – it encourages it.

    35 mile each way

7am start on a monday means driving, but also no traffic and a 3pm finish. Thats great in the car as i get home to spend most of the afternoon with wife and daughter who are both at home all day on a Monday.

Today I rode in 1 way and will get train out of city to somewhere rural and quieter and then do a 18mile finish off. For the last 6mile today it was basically bumper to bumper traffic. Nothing makes you as smug as riding down a huge line of traffic passing flash cars on the way.

The rest of the week is a mix of trains, riding to trains, driving to trains or driving all the way.

CX bike with guards, lights and road tyres.

Hold on – where have they mentioned children, what i read mentioned 17yr olds.

There is no suggestion that any allegations of paedophilia have been made against Mr Travis, but two women have come forward in recent weeks claiming he groped them during the 1970s and 1980s.
