Old dogs are cool, whats his name – my 9 year old springer Brad says hi:

Yep he climbs in the pram – obviously when the baby isnt in. And yes I know letting him and taking photos isnt really responsible before you all start.

That someone happened to be me BTW, it was done for a reason. Now I did ask for you to email me and I would explain why the Thrunton Trail builders decided to do this on that really boggy lower section which is only about 5 meters of trail.

If you want to get involved rather than come on a public forum and help with maintaining the trails then email me and I can sort that out for you.

What you need is a purple inhaler, seritide I think. It’s ace stuff.

It takes bloody ages i know that much – on a trip to Washington DC a little while back i was in the immigration section for about 2 hours.

Also to add but in no way intending to be racist… I was sitting next to a gentleman from Nigeria called Mohammad on the flight out, after getting chatting he was attending the same conference so we ended up going through immigration together. Gets to the front he walks straight through with only 1 finger print done but I get pulled aside – every finger printed, picture taken 100 questions about background the works.

I dint think I fitted the stereotypical bomber with my chinos, crew Clothing shirt and copy of Yachting World but they must have expanded the terrorist profile to include middle class white IT professionals with a passion for nice boats and loafers.

That Giant looks the business but I’m getting the pull to the Forme, LBS is offering a full test ride and they will be there to setup the perfect fit for me. I may even be able to knock off another 35 quid or so or get some free gear since I’ve know him for 20 years.

This is 100 cheaper than the TDF which is also an option, I’ve also got the chance of Forme Rapide 2010 for 385.

Opinions welcome, the Forme is from my LBS so would be built, and made to fit me which is a bonus.

This thread is killing me – really want a road bike but no means for one at the moment 🙁

If only work would do C2W i could get myself a nice road bike to make my commute a more pleasant and faster experience.

Or just go get a Kona Dew/Carrera TDF and sell this beaten up old SS for beer money.

Ive just started commuting to a train 7 miles away. I’m using an old Scott steel MTB with slicks and 38:16 Singlespeed ratio.

Im finidng it a bit uncomfortable tbh – the whole leg is on country lanes – I did 7 miles in 30 mins last night but i find I’m either spinning out with the wind behind me or struggling with the wind in my face.

Also when its not windy my position seems very high and open – with the wide riser bars (may cut them down and fit a longer stem)

I really fancy a road bike but will something like a Carrera TDF be equally as uncomfortable due to lack of carbon fork?

I could always go back to gears on it but that means buying shifters/cassette/cables/mech which seems a bit pointless on this pub bike esq frame.

My 5 am suits everything fine sometimes wonder if I had been better on an alpine but then for trail centres I am verging on over biking.

Five with coil lyriks and coil van Rc.

However I think I may be more awesome than you, or so I’m told 😉

Wonder what it will be like with a coil – i hear that shock will be 200×57.

Anyone know any built up weights?

Had a go on a torch the other day – fiddly annoying menus that are difficult to navigate. Buttons for media etc are crap.

Iphone – just works great my 73 yr old granny was using mine the other day to look at videos and pics, she could navigate the touch screen no problems – get whats app for IM.

My dad was quite cool, started with a brand new xr2 which I loved in 84, then a golf gti mk2 then a 16v version. Moved onto a corrado vr6 then onto an Audi 80 quattro, which he owned until I was 19 and I bought it. 2.8 quattro at 19 was dangerous and I blew all my mates away, then it was stollen 🙁

He had a Capri 3000s with sidewinder exhausts along bottom of doors in 77-79 I think but my mother made him sell it when she got pregnant with me.

He now has a BMW z4 m coupe and has had m3, 330ci club sport, TT.

So quite a nice little selection over the years.

Me neither but if i was to be murdered or murder then i suspect I would be noted as a “computer expert” – where as in fact I’m actually a google searching expert!

The one that gets me in stories is when they feel they need to tell you the value of their home. For example that poor lass from Bristol everytime they mentioned the father he was a “computer Expert” speaking from his £500,000 home – now what has the value of the home got to do with anything?

Also why is everyone who works in IT an “Computer Expert”, they dont say “cheese Expert” for people who work in supermarkets.

My perfect topic – here goes:

    +1 Hoover hose
    Litter
Picking something up for it to fall over again, then pick it up again and it falls again – at that point it normally gets booted across house.
    Computers running slow
    iphone auto text thingy
Our newborn baby screaming – i know it shouldn’t but it grinds on me
Work related – folk in change management jobs who dont understand anything technical relating to the change so you could tell them anything.
Rear mechs – the little L and H that you can hardly see
Bluetooth – everything to do with it
Printing from Computers and resizing images etc
    Onion Skins/Garlic Clove Skin
Those Halifx isa isa baby adverts
The Lloyds TSB adverts – all of them with their shitty music
    The Barclays bouncy castle adverts
Traffic lights that sit with all lights on red – or on green when there are no cars there.
    Pot holes
    My mother in law

    Thats just a start!

    EDIT:

Automatic doors that are really slow to open, so you have to stop and wait for them

    Yep +1 for that too

I don’t understand how some treatment like diabetes medicine is free yet my inhalers are 7 quid whatever each and they only give me one for 7 quid. So 2 inhalers is 15 quid.

I keep fit etc to help it but I can’t Keep it at bay without my purple inhaler. Surely I have a right to breath for free? Or should I just not bother, drink, smoke and overeat and get all the treatment from the nhs include free nicotine patches!

All the kids i see are into dirt jump bikes and BMXs round here. If you go to GlenT how many kids do you see on the trails – not many they are all in the dirt jump park.

Freeride is cool – xc trails arent.

I agree – I kept on top of buyer and informed him about the situation – if he wasnt happy he could return the bike otherwise I would need positive feedback. Thankfully he provided it quickly. As you say though I think it clears after 30 days anyway.

    carbon337

I have a history of about 100 and 100% feedback too and they held 400 quid from me. I wasnt happy but as soon as the buyer OK’d the feedback it was released.

No I had it when i sold a bike – it occurs when the seller hasnt sold anything for a period of time.

Apparently its buyers protection however its a pain in the arse and worrying when sending valuable items.

Ours is massive we can hardly control it.

I recommend black porous sheeting to prevent weeds from taking over. Small beds are easiest to deal with.

We have nothing in yet – normally easter for us up here in the NE.

Whilst on the subject if anyone has a greenhouse or poly tunnel available we are desperate for one 🙁

Bunnyhop – thats really nice stuff and right up her street. Think I will get her something but for this occasion Im looking for more personal ideas really.

The photo bunting above is looking like a winner. I have a Mac and loads of pics so Im hoping I can do something creative.

Running out of time though… 😯

Ive just got one from Loco last weekend. Very happy with it – I havent noticed the additional weight at all. It climbs great with very little bob, Im using about +4 clicks of Low speed compression.

I have a Lyrik coil on the front too and combined the Five now handles my technical natural terrain perfect.

I was using Nike 6 but forgot them and ended up using some old goal trainer I was wearing. White leather things. Turns out they are amazing just look a bit odd.
