i didnt bother – the 2011 graphics are only 10 quid every year or so when they get tatty.

On the underside I got a bath seal (those 90deg) rubber seals you put round the bath. Cut it down the middle and put a small line under swingarm and on lower inner edge.

It will end up in tears – probably not for you though as if it goes wrong you will be banging the 28yr old triathlete.

Si – no offense but what’s the point of those metal pieces for the top of the shock mounting? Why are they like that and not just a direct mounting to the frame?

As in something like this on the mega:

Get him grassed up – i asked a similar question recently and the lefties all cam out in his defense.

    Still dobbed him in though.

If he is legit then he wont have anything to worry about.

Get the camera phone out and take some pics next time too.

So far its cost £3.50 – an inner tube and the postage on a chain.

Some donations from STW wanted section.

Pedals are stuck on cranks and the whole bike was free when it was abandoned in the snow outside my house for a week.

Left it at the train station the other day with no lock and it was still there at the end of the day. People wont even nick it!

    Advantage 2.25 unknown tpi Front
    High Roller 2.35 60a Rear

Advantage is bigger than the high roller.

Might remove the HR and put another advantage on the rear to save the HR for the wetter stuff in the Autumn.

Without stealing the OPs thread but in a similar vain – we have an allotment which is next to a small skip company who seem to be expanding into a top soil, gravel type business.

Now, we also have a baby and take the baby round on sunny days and she sleeps in her pram etc but recently he is constantly setting fires – obviously to skip rubbish i imagine.

Ive noticed he locks the gates when the fires are on and I’ve seen him come out lock gates and then climb back over into his yard. He is setting fires pretty much every day including Sundays.

The smoke is quite thick and comes into our garden so we cant do anything and we go home stinking of smoke. Also we dont want the baby in smoke obviously.

Can people in industry just randomly burn rubbish as and when they want?

New pivot bearings about a month ago. It’s not the Bb the hope tech shop man said Bb was fine.

I’m thinking it may be chainring or cranks coming loose on splines.

It only creaks during heavy load pedaling but cranks are race face evolve xc and a quick search suggests they have issues coming undone.

Just found this thread – ive had a creaking bottom bracket or so i thought – a recent trip to a hope tech centre with my BB and they said the hope bearings are fine.

He suggested it may be the Race Face evolve XC cranks and the splines being worn. Would this produce a large grinding? There doesnt appear to be any movement though.

I did notice that the bolt wasnt tight when i took the BB out yesterday – also when i used the crank extractor it hardly took any turns to seperate the cranks – basically the inner bit you screw to push cranks apart took very little effort.

they are only just 15months old but well used – i polished the black anodising off after it started to rub off – do you think they would be covered under warranty?

    Just spoke to a customer service pre sales persons – i was told;

“In order to be eligible to return your mobile under the 14-Day returns policy you must not have used your handset to make or receive calls or texts, take photos, or download content.”

DO not use text, Calls, any data during this time or the returns policy is invalidated. Seems totally pointless to me – how are you meant to be able to see if its any good if you cant use it.

Fork was ditched mid point for a coil lyrik – done the servicing on that myself.

The rp23 was replaced with hopefully a burlier van rc.

I think this is the problem with riding 3 times a week on natural trails and not the trail centres the manufacturers believe we all ride.

Quite a list though I think.

This creaking was vibrating the whole bike could even feel it through the bars. Got home and realised the BB wasnt tight tight and the crank bolt wasnt tight ish so tightened up and went for a spin out – seemed ok at first then it returned although knowhere near as bad.

Ill get these bearings checked at the tech centre and if its not that I dont know where to start.

I think my XT may be knackered after about 9 months. Whats the best way to check – other than looking at the teeth – is there a proper way to check?

I think the one in cramlington was a case of her riding across a slip rode exit rather than her crossing the slip road at 90deg and then riding down the slip road. Im not 100% sure though but went past the spot last night and that looked like the case.

Wasps – do they actually do much pollinating? All the ones I ever see just fly around my head and try to get into my pint.

Are they like rats of the insect world?

    Five pro is my choice

Then keep in your shed a spare set of 160 forks for bigger days or just run it with bigger forks all the time.

I use my five with coil lyriks and coil shock for everything. DH, XC, lakes days, trail riding, local woods.

    Nice build.

Not tempted to go for the AM build being out there in the proper hills, or even a 36 fork?
