When I first enquired with Silverfish about them they told me the crankset ha a 3 yr warranty and that this was the exi 2010 spline. No wonder they went bust though making crap like these. They came on a 2010 Orange Five and only lasted 12 months before failing.

Dont worry if theyr’e anything like mine after a year the splines are worn and they wont stay together – currently with Silverfish awaiting a response on the issue.

A quick google suggests its quite a common fault with these splines.

Are they like these:

Remove the bolt – that will leave both sides stuck together – then use a crank extractor to seperate the drive side off the non driveside splines.

Once the drive side is off just tap the axle through the BB.

But ended up with Coil Uturn Lyriks instead. Easier to maintain myself and the travel adjust is used on large lakes climbs. Also cheaper second hand.

Cons – none – i now have a fully adjustable fork in terms of dampening and travel whereas the 32 was basic.

Pros – stiffer, confidence inspiring, weight is no issue – not now i have a van rc coil on too.

A lot of people seem to run 1 less than recommemded for their weight but it depends on your terrain and you can alter damping oil weight to adjust sensitivity etc.

use a sharp kitchen knife and just shave a small amount off. A mm or 2 helped me.

i had trouble with mine actually – in the end I had to shave a small ammount off the higher bit of the roler (little ring) as when it was in the big ring it wasnt a strait chain line, it was bending around stinger – didnt matter what cranks it was on but this was on a Five.
