To Jens Voigt, there is no such thing as a “race day”. Just training days with motorcycles.
carbon337Free MemberAnybody follow @JensVoigtFacts on twitter – keeping me amused tonight whilst listening to some tunes and enjoying some vino.
“Jens Voigt doesn’t complain about what suffering does to him, but suffering constantly complains about getting picked on by Jens Voigt.”
carbon337Free Membervoeckler V Cadel on stage 20 may be a shake up for the yellow, dont write of AC yet either, he looked smooth and comfortable today. Still stages 17/18 & 19 provide plenty of opportunities for movement in GC.
carbon337Free Membervoeckler has some balls mind. Even before yellow in the Vendee/Britanny areas he was leading breakaways and battling.
Can he do it? I hope so as he more about him than those Schlecks and Contador. What about Mr Evans though he looks comfy so far.

carbon337Free Member+1 here – reported yesterday and apparently DRAC had it sorted.
carbon337Free MemberHe lost Bernhard Eisel quite a way back and was the only HTC guy in those last 2 corners. No launch man as such – i think he would have still had Bernie after that last corner in normal circumstances.
carbon337Free Membernot enough roadie for me – there are no other decent roadie forums imo. Although with most roadies being in their mid 40’s they probably dont know that the web is much use away from porn.
carbon337Free MemberAfter my last post I thought I’f have a look at News Corp and see what other holdings they are involved with.

Mass share price drop or something?
Im dreaming that Murdoch has some bad times ahead.
carbon337Free MemberResolution successful. Got a nice email back and an apology from Mark there. Basically it sounds like they are trying to resolve their issues and are a small company and are suffering from their success. I made him aware of their bad press and coverage here. Sounds like they are making changes to system etc to imtprove things anyway.
Order cancelled and refunded through paypal. I’m off to a LBS tomorrow to pickup a discounted recon and a valuable lesson learned.
carbon337Free MemberThe phone is constantly engaged. Can you cancel a transaction through paypal?
carbon337Free MemberWe had one when we I was a kid. She was like an old duchess. Just sat there looking down her nose at everyone. She also stunk like an old carpet.
When she was a pup she was very naughty, chewing, shredding stealing socks etc – no more than my Springer is now though and he’s 9 with titanium rods in his spine.
carbon337Free MemberI ordered a Giro hex from them last night showing up as dispatching today. So ive gone on to have a look at my order now after reading this thread and it appears that they are awaiting stock.
The only reason I ordered from them was that it showed in stock and ready to be dispatched.
carbon337Free MemberRule 27:
Sock and short length should be like Golidlocks, not too long and not too short. (Disclaimer: despite Sean Yates’ horrible choice in shorts length, he is a quintessential hard man of cycling and is deeply admired by the Velominati. Whereas Armstrong’s short and sock lengths are just plain wrong.) No socks is a no-no, as are those ankle-length ones that should only be worn by female tennis players.
carbon337Free MemberThanks for the advice sure sounds like I need a M. Now to find one.
carbon337Free Membermy daughter is 6 months and we have trouble with her fitting 3-6 months clothing as she is still just tiny.
people bough 3-6 months clothes when she was born and most are still in packets.
So quite the opposite of everyone here.
carbon337Free MemberIm in Northumberland and wont be passing anytime soon with the chance of a 2nd hand frame. If anyone has one in North East would you mind if I swing my leg over yours (sounds dodgy eh)
carbon337Free MemberThe Police will do wonders with it.
No they wont, you will get a crime reference number and a nice letter from victim support and that’s your whack.
carbon337Free MemberIndeed and here’s a tip, when you have the overlap wind the tape on 4 or 5 wraps, then test that the bar plug fits neatly and snugly in the bar.
There is nothing worse than wrapping the whole of one side to find that you didn’t have enough overlap at the beginning.
I’ve done this and made an arse of it. Also gap round the hoods. A general dogs dinner.
carbon337Free MemberSince commuting for the last few months Ive started to follow two golden rules,
First – always obey the rules of the road, if for example someone does the nice thing like wave you through when you dont have the right to then dont do it – by the time you both hesitate there is carnage and it brings other motorists into the situation who dont know whats going on.
Second – never assume someone has seen you. Always be more alert than those around you, cover your brakes especially with cars approaching side roads to you – sit up and be seen – even stand up on pedals to make yourself seen in certain situations.
carbon337Free MemberThats shit for Ollie.
Been onto Steels, Bike Place etc etc get them to display some pictures in the shop.
carbon337Free MemberHe knew their age yet pursued them and knew what he was doing – IMO a potentially dangerous and disturbed lad. Lose his job? Well maybe they have a position of responsibility in the public limelight so yes.
carbon337Free MemberUnfortunately they are a massive company who claim C2W is too expensive to implement and they already offer excellent incentives – see the cyclelife discount above – cough cough.
Also our payroll is all outsourced to Accenture.
I was thinking the company could setup something with Evans for expample like 20% discount over £500 and you get a 12month loan – akin to the season ticket travel purchase scheme taken from salary.
carbon337Free MemberWhats the in house ride 2 work. My employer doesnt do anything (except offer a 10% Raleigh/cyclelife discount) and im trying to come up with some ideas how they can offer something to the employees.
carbon337Free MemberWell isnt she on statutory pay now which I think is funded by the government. The company claim it back from whoever – probably HRMC i would imagine.
I think the company are wrong here.
carbon337Free MemberAny planet x pro sl going second hand. In 5’10 and I have a 55.5 giant at the mo, the specs make it look like I am in between m and l according to top tube length.
carbon337Free MemberTfo explain. Am I worrying too much about the carbon frame do you think?
carbon337Free MemberWell mainly not carbon due to leaving the bike on a train 2 or 3 times per week. I regullary find a few bikes plonked on mine as I get on first and off last. Would hate a dent in the top tube for example.
carbon337Free Memberplanet x superlight team
ooo i had never seen that – i kept getting drawn to the PRO SL carbon whenever I was there.
That is only 300 inc the carbon fork too which is good.
carbon337Free MemberDid the Northern Rock Cyclone yesterday and noticed an awful lot of folk were riding Cervelos so i took a look online when I got home – holy crap they are expensive.
They were like Orange Fives of the road world (i have a five so i can say that)
carbon337Free MemberSome of the beeb coverage better improve. Bloody Chimpunk I hate that p###k!
These vaccines are fairly lame too – hopefully it will get better later.
carbon337Free MemberI want to chill for a weekend in a tent with Ferne Cotton thats for sure – mud or not im not bothered…
carbon337Free MemberI don’t know nuffink about sailing, but I’d imagine the UK sailing community were involved in choosing a location, and Poole was the best option.
Well i know loads about it and 90% of the major events in this county go there or in that region. Its always the same.
To do a major champs we regularly had to tow down from the NE, in some instances fortnightly. When holding a Europeans in the NE we struggled to attract 20 boats. But this is getting onto a different theme.
What im trying to say is that TeamGBR sailing wouldnt have even contemplated going elsewhere.
