Night riding is ace whether road or MTB.

Doing both quite a bit at the moment and love it. Road in a group on a dark smooth lane spinning along at 25mph is bliss.

Without viewing the vid – I did a skills training day once and was told not to put inside knee out as its wrong – when you do this your keeping the bike too upright and not putting tyres to full use.

This was on an MTB though and it was to implement the knobbles on the outside to full potential.

Surely keeping your body more vertical and pushing bike over to the angle is more efficient use of a round tyre as it would mean less steering is needed.

This would mean standing though and pushing top tube to inside knee and not knee out.

Has anyone managed to attach a torch to a 661 recon helmet? Whats the best mount for it?

I had one on for ages winding him up – ubuntu running on Mac via virtual host had him confused for a bit.

He got very abusive to me and i must say i reciprocated and then he read out all my details to me – name, telephone number, full address.

He was calling me an idiot and a retard etc – i asked him how he felt knowing that i was sleeping in my medium size house with my 2 cars and computers whilst he slept in a shanty town in Mumbai. All very childish from my part but i couldn’t resist.

At that point i hung up on him.

Great pics – not sure the point myself but each to their own.

Im a bit biased living here but i think its fair to say Northumberland has the UK’s best beaches.

Im just back from walking my dog on Druridge Bay beach 🙂

moi – hair hanging out of road bibs looks shocking. Also other road folk look at you funny.

Hair pants can be minimized with a bit trimming and fading on the thighs.

Awake since 4:30 wife is sleep training the 8 month old! Was due up at 6 anyway to do some server patchings.

I don’t see the problem with allowing bairn to feed and sleep on her but apparently she needs to self sooth. Wrecked..com

Im here – shaven and everything – Toons – i think you secretly want a stroke of them dont you?

I ride with Breezes on a Tuesday night – they do a Sunday run too starting from Alnwick. Normally 2 groups 1 slow, 1 fast – I started in slow with good MTB fitness and quickly progresses to fast group now.

Its very relaxed and there isnt any race training so im looking to do some riding with another group aswell next year so i can get some racing in. We normally just ride for a laugh and sportive training.

If Dieter is there or Neil Baxter then it normally is quite hard but a good laugh too.

your right that was 2011 price – thats not cheap.

You can get a Great North Run entry for only 40 and that is a far bigger event.

I thought road hills would be a breeze before i got my road bike then i was surprised how hard they were – probably due to gearing and not using a compact. One thing though you will notice is how much fitter you will be on your MTB after a period of road riding.

Road riding isnt easy i can assure you.

That speed on water is phenomenal experience, we regularly clocked 20kts + with a max 24 in our Melges 24 but these cats are a completely different ball game. A non sailor would be crapping themselves at anything over about 14.

I think they’re fairly cool along with crows. Intelligent birds IMO. Watch how they aren’t fazed by cars and just hop out of the way of danger.

Ridden the new old trail then Fergal? The one that’s just had about 30 man days on it. Oh and no gravel!

To criticise volunteers yet also happily ride their hardwork says enough to me. Come along at 7:30 I’d happily like to meet you and discuss it all. You’ve been invited many a time yet never turn up.

Managed PPanther yet? See nobody wanted to show you that either. Recurring theme here.

And continue riding on your own, never had a ban on here yet but every time you post I have an urge to unleash verbals your way.

Asking for your members money back was taking the piss too.

Fergal – your same old boring opinion
