A site that allows you to create collections of images you find on the web. You can view and re-pin images that others have pinned in their collections.

Sounds a lot like how Tumblr is used.

Maybe try and sneak a little 30 or 40 in later and a 70 or so tomorrow.

It’s so much more flexIble than MTB especially with a 1 yr old child.

PS If anyone has a 6700 ss rear mech or similar let me know

Warton, I must admit selling my five crossed my mind. I could get a super nice new roadbike with the funds invested in it. The only problem is I would never get another one now so I’m a bit reluctant to do it.

ive been looking at loads recently – nissan Qashqai, notes, fabia estates, octavia estate ,golfs and the latest being an Audi A3 sportback with the 1.2 tfsi engine more power than the old 1.6 petrol that ive driven before and friends have and manage fine with.

The basic A3 is actually better specced than basic octavia and golfs.

Intereesting to start hearing more about this N2A in the next few weeks – it looks nice and is priced well so thats 2 of the 3 points I need ticked. Performance in terms of stiffness is the other point.

I use the Lezyne caddy sack – little man bag (as the wife calls it) its like a small purse but I fit in a tiny one23 tool, 2 tubes, levers, 2 co2 and a co2 head. All in my middle jersey pocket.

Another alternative is a Rapha bag – rolled and placed under seat with a leather toe clip strap – google it.

I use a small Rapha bag to put my phone in and a set of spare boxers in to wear at work – fold it and that goes in another jersey pocket.

Saddle bags are ugly – end of.

I’ve not had fox 36’s but i love my lyriks on my FIve- the only problem i had with them was a damper seal go which caused them to drop the damper oil into lowers. This was resolved with a new seal kit for £20 and an hour jiggery pokery.

Really simple to work on them, if I can work on them anyone can. I’ve got the DH damper in an had no issues what so ever and have the coil uturn. After loosing quite a bit of weight due to road biking i now need a new spring but there are loads of second hand ones doing the rounds that you can pick up or swap with people.

A friend has RC3 Ti 55’s on a Pitch and he loves them – he has had no issues in the last 18 month or so with them.

It all seems a bit of a clart on – i might just get some of those pro-lite bracciano things at 1500 for £300 or maybe some RS80’s.

    Alpha rims – £140
    Ebay hubs – £70
    Spokes – Revolution ?£
    LBS Build ?£

interested in this but struggling to follow the thread.

Alphas rims – simple enough – what spoke counts?
    What hubs?
    What spokes – CX rays?

oh well lots of opinions as aways with STW – another look at the golfs come in at 19k thats serious money for a golf.

Think i may have another look at a qashqai basic at £16k or a basic Yeti petrol.

    Golf s 1.2 TSI 105 £18k
    Fabia Estate Se + 1.2 TSI 105 £14k

With my days of being a brand snob numbered i think i’d take the Fabia

However ive just discovered a fabia estate 1.2 TSI SE 105 is the same price as a note.

Its getting too unreliable mikertroid – the wife was left stranded with the baby when the latest alternator died – no battery light came on – she just came away from shop to find the car totally dead.

Is the Jazz not smaller than a note? It looks it.

Thanks for feedback all, Ended up looking at note after looking at the qashqai I thought the note will be a cheaper all round car but still useable for family duty.

Others Ive though we’re golf tfsi but prob too small or Octavia estate but I reckon resell woul be poor as most people want diesel estates.

I have a friend and family code for Nissan discount.

Ours was booked into our nursery from when she was 4 months old – from 2 they run reduced hours but she cant get in till 2 yrs 9 months as some book in from before being born, seriously – we need to pay until she is 3 but then she will go onto free mornings.

The zafira is great for piling stuff in and its got plenty of power but its just too expensive to run at the moment and im thinking something slightly smaller but more efficient.

Really want to avoid another Vauxhall if at all possible – it hasnt been the best of experiences. EGR, Dual Mass Flywheel, 3 Alternators, eats the 18″ tyres, broken wiring to rear doors meaning no rear leccy windows and radio, no spare wheel but thats just irritating and worrying especially when the built in compressor is also broken and its only got 65k on it.

Great series, was shocked at the end about Vicey. Seemed a good bloke from what you see on there – hope his injuries are manageable especially the brain one.

Why has the “Tory-supporting” element got anything to do with supporting the campaign? I dont get how their political allegiances are an issue.

I can see the inclusion of this stat

since 2001, 576 British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq; 1,275 cyclists died on British streets.

Upsetting a few folk, makes you think though.

We had a Walter Wilson GG. In fact me and the Mrs stil call the Co-op thats replaced it as “Walters”.

This was up in Northumberland so it may be just a NE thing.

Nah seriously very nice. I fancy an advanced SL non-isp frame next.

I use a little Leyzne caddy sack that fits jersey middle pockets, 2 tubes, 2 co2, £5 note and tiny one23 multitool and a tyre lever – all very neat and small the wife calls it my man bag.

Office IT job. I spend all day eating after a decent commute of about 70miles.

Strava says 1800 calories used today though. Who knows real figure.

    Todays feast
    3 weetabix before morning ride
    1 sausage sarnie after showering
1 baked spud with salad and tuna for lunch
Soreen with nutella on arrival home
    Chinese cantonese chicken and noodles.

I’ll be honest they’re the best bits in my road gear collection rest is altura or eBay bits. Bike was even built from STW classifieds.

I do like the idea of nice bits though as and when cash allows. Xmas/birthday bits and bobs.

Think I’ll get a 72 mile round trip commute in tomorrow as long as its not too icy at 7 when I leave. Nobody else in so I can be flexible with my hrs.
