It’s probably a nice phone, but is it really worth scrabbling round the internet for?

Probably not.

I was a sailor yetid, rarely dabble these days but could make a comeback when I get a bit older and the kids get to an age when they can be involved. I’m too busy monitoring watts and shaving my legs these days.

Thanks for all the advice will see what happens and take it from there.

Its what I do here once a week so managable to get some winter base miles in. Other than the bike commute how is it around there, prices seem more reasonable.

I’m sure a 9 SPd road can control a 10spd road rear mech so will probably just buy a new road specific one and forget trying to be clever

I always find the ship too far up its own ar£e. Loads better pubs around.

yeah location is good but the wifey who took it over is a proper muckle toff.

Try the greys inn at Embleton – my mate runs it.

Good, lbs set mine up and I’ve no problems with them. Light and good power.use them on my race bike for Crits and they’re more than capable for mixing it with elites and cat 1 riders.

Drac in new tourism role.

I live in amble and don’t see any stolen mx bikes.

You could find similar rough folk in Alnwick or Seahouses even. Amble has best fish and chips by a country mile. Forget the Seahouses chippies.

We had a Sri 150 1.9 cdti thingy. It was fine and nice to drive with loads of power. Great for about 3 years but at about 5 year old it all started.

Dmf +£1k
Egr x3
Alternators x3
Glow plugs
Swirl flap meaning new inlet manifold +£1k
New ac compressor
No central locking and rear electric windows in rear due to snapped wires at door joint.
78k and the upholstery on passenger seat gave way and split in middle
No spare wheel – more an irritation
Cracked alloy wheel due to pothole but apparently tgeyre cheapo crappy wheels (18″)

That Justin must be on a canny contract with BBC now – he is mr cbeebies. No idea how he manages to stay so exciteable and interested over stuff like he does.

Mostly it’s a vanity and looking like a pro thing though

What he said, especially if you get them tanned and embrocation on them too, for uber shineyness. Veins jutting out for extra points.

I had one that i wound up for a while, in the end we both knew the craic. He started calling me a thicko, i maybe said something about “do you live in a slum like on the movie slumdog millionaire” possibly shouldnt of. Anyway, the next thing he read out my telephone number, full address and email address and name. AT that point i got a bit freaked out.

Id have this instead: Mk2 Gti 8v

I had one of these Citroen AX GT It was a cracking little car but a bit prone to rust. Boot was plastic. Wouldnt fancy crashing one. There were tales of a young lad in the NE crashing one and being beheaded which was always in the back of my mind whilst owning it.

and just for laughs : Audi RS2 ’91

Never buying a diesel again – unless my mileage increases. 7k per year on our Zafira.

DMF, Inlet Manifold-swirl flaps, EGRs, Alternators x3, £2.5k in 18 months.

Since bought a petrol golf TSI – = MPG and petrol is 10p cheaper per litre.

Do it yourself – easy.

Ive just done my whole bathroom. No wiring but moved the shower from one end of bath to other. So wires just needed pulled up to ceiling void then back down new whole.

Then the shower is just 3 wires and a pipe on cold feed. Use flexi pipe for your cold feed its easy.

Wheels are ace. Derek is dead canny and will help you out with any issues. I had a problem with rear hub but didnt buy them through him.

They were over a year old but for 100 he replaced hub, all newnipples. retuned and returned it posted. Cant argue with that and it now has the lighter novatec hub.

Also they look ace which helps.

TLR – will keep my eyes peeled. Its gona be some kind of darkside STW love in. We can sit back, enjoy a coffee and think of all those singlespeeders in the mud back home. #roadisthefuture

Nice Giant. I wanted an Advanced SL but cost put me off so ended up with this…

IMG_3063 by H2O Foto, on Flickr[/img]

Got brand new frame and fork for £600, Wheelsmith 50mm clinchers £400 off Bike Radar, slowly upgraded to Ultegra gset, new Fizik R3 saddle, Zipp stem and PX brakes since then. DA shifters next then done. About £1400 cost so far.

Shibboleth, yeah mate just mail me and ill let you know the craic with our trip.

EDIT Should really spend more on the wall instead though eh

I use a 53/11 for sprinting in crits and closed circuits. Its a proper man gear, dont like it take your compact and mince along.

Nice bike OP enjoy mallorca, ill be there myself in 50 days 🙂

I was desperatley trying to get something sorted for a week in the 1st 2 weeks in March in preperation for Road race season. Unfortuntley none of my decent roady mates coudld make it.

Tenerife sounded ideal but being billy no mates accomodation would be expesive for just one so never bothered doing anything.

If anyone is a decent 2nd/3rd cat rider heading there needing a bed filled give me a nod.

I know a few who do. I raced normal yachts for years and still do now and again.

A guy I sailed Solings with does World Champs etc. There are a few forums and clubs around that will help you get started.

EDIT – do you have any idea about sailing at all? if not you may struggle with trimming, tacking, gybing wind angles etc.

BG told me 7500 and the woman wouldnt leave my house. She even offered to use her mobile to sort a loan out to get her the money.

In the end went local fitter and got a full new setup including all new rads and relocation for £2k.
