The Sonos bit has been covered and will work fine not going over that.
Going by memory it’s only the 5, and the connect and connect:amp that have the line in.

If you already have the cd player or struggling to find one with an app, look at the harmony remote control system, some of the range have a option for app control and can be found on the bay for reasonable prices.

You could not tell your insurance as some have suggested however even if Asda self insure you’ll find your policy requires you to report the accident.

It’s unknown if self insurers also submit information to the insurance database but best case they fix the car and you never hear anything more, worse they fix your car, update the database and your insurer finds out and cancels your policy for non-disclosure and then you need to tell every time you want to get a new insurance policy.

I’m not comfortable with projecting traditional gender roles and it would be better if you were to ask what it would like to be addressed as.

You were involved in an accident irrespective of fault, you need to apprise your insurer of this.

Remember when you are out you are not allowed back in for fear being radically Europeanised!!! This also includes all EU holidays….apart from Benidorm

I understand that shagaluf & Ayia Napa have now been added to the list of ‘safe’ zones

Firstly sorry to hear about you mum it must be a tough time for you, I know you said no internet but I have some Heatmiser units and they are connected to the internet allowing remote control of the timer and boost functions and also display the current temperature, but the key feature for you might be the lock function that stops the key pad from functioning it might stop the playing if it does not respond.

Ours are s few years old so you might want to confirm the newer units still have this function.

I have two sonos systems in different locations and can’t say I’ve seen the play back / streaming issue.

Each system has a nas with my ripped itunes library on it that indexes daily at 2am.
Apart from sonos firmware updates I find it very stable and perhaps need a reboot of the sonos devices once or twice a year.
Access to spotify as a premium subscriber also just works.

The interface is reasonably slick and easy to navigate all in all despite the cost the ease of use make it worthwhile.

Though with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple looking to get in on the market there could be some changes ahead.

The accepted industry view is your data does not exist unless there are three instances of it, if you move everything from your machine to a single drive only you can judge the fallout of losing the content.

If your were talking about multiple copies on hdd then I’d go for drives from different companies so a wd and seagate or hitachi etc. Or consider one hdd and then a cloud based offering.

The aim is to spread the risk.

Just as a reminder most home insurance policies have legal cover as part of them, call your insurer and find out pronto.

In this situation you can’t afford bad free advice, so the best advice is to find a competent accountant or more, personal recommendations are really best and have a initial conversation with them and see which you like.

The ones who want you to sign on the line there and then and want to extract every £ from HMRC might not be the best.

That said, if working for a number of companies as a consultant then it sounds like LTD company is a fare shout on which way to proceed.

If really stubborn I bind the other crank arm to the chain stay with para cord and use a long breaker bar and 8mm hex bit.
Also a bit of heat if plusgas hasn’t done the job.

Wasn’t there a thread a while back that attributed the leaks to the o ring on the oil port where the two sides of the calliper join? It might be worth replacing that too.

Maureens pie and mash shop in Chrisp st market, Poplar, the best pie, mash and liquor going and some seriously healthy portions of saltbeef, great value at less that a fiver each!

Any Beigels from the 24hr Beigel Bake on brick lane are good but the saltbeef with a pickle on the side is the one to go for.

Dry bag(s) and a slightly larger pack to accommodate the wet gear, means you can strip on the train in the doorway if running late and dry your kit at work when you arrive.

This is why wherever posable you should run the cables in conduit as cables fail, standards change etc and you need to replace them easily.
